PART 29'S

Raya was still sitting speechless in the dusty wooden chair as Defin was talking to someone on his phone.

"I'll go now!" Raya got up from her seat because she could not stand the house.

The state of the house was dirty with a pile of unused and creepy items made his chest claustrophobic recall the dark past when he received torture from his mother.

"This place isn't as bad as you see." Defin again held back Raya's arm.

"I. I feel uncomfortable because this place reminds of the events of that time" said Raya lirih

"Calm down, as long as you're with me no one will dare hurt you." Defin tried to convince Raya

Raya gazes deeply into Defin's eyeballs, seeking the truth of the man's words and making sure that there are no lies at the moment.

Dukes...Dukes...Dukes...

The voice was spontaneous making Raya close her body to Defin seeking protection.

"They're coming."

Raya's getting scared. I don't know who Defin said. The bad shadow had already filled the mind of Raya. Is there going to be a mafia battle or is there a dark transaction that Defin wants to do but why Defin has to take him.

Defin stepped towards the wooden chair that a while ago sat down Raya. Then he shifted the chair and saw a secret door there.

Defin stomped his feet twice and the floor was open. There was a man in there, who opened the secret door.

"For a long time, didn't I say I'd be here." Defin scolded the man and he just looked down speechless.

"Lake in." Defin extended his right hand at Raya.

Though hesitant Raya grabbed Defin's hand and followed the man's steps towards the basement which was only in the light with a dimly lit lamp.

Raya stopped her steps, the fear of the narrow and dark room came back to haunt her.

Realizing that Raya has a problem with a place like this, Defin picks up his phone and turns on the flash to illuminate the tunnel.

They continued the journey with the Kingdom still holding tightly to Defin's hand. Until they are reunited with a door that connects with another room.

Raya was stunned when she saw the second room. The true existence of this house is not as Raya thought. They were greeted with three people that Raya had never seen before.

Raya again tightened her grip on Bayu's hand as the three men approached.

"They work for Bayu and will only obey my orders." Defin.

"I think we just need to talk alone."

"They don't want to meet you, but I. So wait in that room." Defin pointed at a door in front of him.

Raya complied and immediately headed for the door and opened it. Geez, there are so many surprises and secrets in this house. Each room managed to create confusion.

Different from the previous room. This place looks like a bedroom, complete with a medium-sized bed, a closet and a small table with a mirror attached to the wall.

This room also has a bathroom and some toiletries.

He checked the whole room. Although not spacious this room is comfortable to occupy. Moreover, the presence of air conditioning makes the air stay cool.

Raya sat on the edge of the bed and kept wondering with this place.

"The wood has a place like this but he never told me or I shouldn't be here."

An hour was waiting in that room. But Defin hasn't seen him yet. Raya got up and opened the door of the room, but soon closed again when all eyes were on him including Defin who was talking to his men.

"I'm sorry to believe him. The people out there are very suspicious."

Raya returned to the bed and laid down her body, staring at the ceiling. His mind floated far away to the house where he saw Tessa's new car.

"Ck! It is natural that Bayu bought his wife a car, which is not natural if the car is for me," said Raya lirih

"That's for you. Tessa just misunderstood. Tonight you'll give me the key."

"You're finally done too. I'm tired of being here. I've been expecting it, where maybe Bayu suddenly changed." Raya still refuses to get out of bed.

Defin chose to sit on a small table in front of a mirror attached to the wall.

"Just tell me what you want to talk about at that time."

"Look at how you speak, as if you were waiting a long time when you yourself made our conversation hampered."

"Is that important now? Don't you have to come back before dinner."

Raya snorted annoyedly and relented to end her debate.

Raya drew closer and whispered in Defin's ear. Tell me all the plans. Defin was not surprised by Raya's desire because it was clearly visible.

"That's all?" Defin frowned

"I want you to take my side, too."

"Raya, it's best before you attack your enemy find out if you can deal with it."

"So you don't think I can do it."

"Don't I ever say anything back then."

"Well, I remember very clearly. You will never leave Bayu and will never betray him."

"One more thing I'll remind you if you forget. If you turn away from me, I'll do the same."

He sat on the edge of the bed and crossed his legs.

"If this plan goes well, you can ask me anything."

"Anything?" Defin smiled a grin and then pulled Raya's arm and made the girl stand up and fall in her arms. Defin's left hand grabbed onto Kingdom's waist and pulled Raya's body closer to her.

"Are you scared or nervous? I can hear your heartbeat now." Defin whispered in Raya's ear.

It closed its eyes. He must look ridiculous now, Defin has been playing him.

"Let go. let go of me!" Raya pushed the chest of Defin's field but did not make Defin release Raya instead further tightened his embrace.

"You've crossed the line!" raya Bentak

"Why? You'd rather be in the arms of a man your age."

A slap landed on Defin's right cheek. Defin releases Raya's arm.

"Yes, I'm disgusting. Even every time I keep thinking about ending my life!"

Raya came out of the room and slammed the door and then walked without caring anymore with the gaze of people who had made her guts shrink.

"Raya! Raya, listen to me first." Defin chased after Raya and pulled back Raya's arm as she was about to enter the car.

Defin quickly released Raya's hand. When he saw the clear feathers on the girl's cheeks.

"Ma.maaf." said Defin Lirih.

"I. I want to go home now." Raya was still trying to hold back her increasingly trembling voice.

"Yes.we go home now." Defin immediately opened the car door and closed it again after Raya sat next to the driver's seat.

They drift into each other's minds. Raya who felt insulted by those closest to her, even though there was nothing wrong in Defin's speech. However, Raya could not accept because the person who a while ago convinced himself to believe completely but made his heart disappointed. While Defin who felt very guilty for saying the wrong thing and even Raya still sobbed in silence.

After arriving at the house Raya was still crying. She immediately wiped her tears before getting out of the car.

"Raya, I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that."

"I'm just disappointed that those words came out of your lips." Get out of the car and get into the house.

"Non, dinner's ready. I'll call Mr and Madam too." A female servant approached the Kingdom who had just wanted to climb the stairs.

"I'm not feeling well, I'll just eat in the room."

"Good...." Before the servant finished talking Raya had already climbed the stairs in a hurry.

"God, I don't know what this family's gonna be like. The Master and Madam had not slept in one room and now Miss Raya also often looked sad. She must have cried."

"Ssttt...! Don't talk to you carelessly." One of his fellow servants patted him on the shoulder when he heard his complaints.
