Love Affair
PART 30'S

The phone he put on the nightstand produced a buzzing sound when a message came in. Raya opened the message and read it for a moment and then put it back on the nightstand.

An apology from the man who this afternoon made her tear up.

Why should you say it like that. Raya still does not accept with Defin's words. Raya never expected Defin to be nice to her, only that Raya felt very disappointed. Although the man clearly said that it was not his intention to humble Raya or insult her. But, still Raya felt hurt by the man's words.

The sound of the door creaking open made Raya end her daydream and immediately took her phone and deleted the incoming message a moment ago.

"Why not sleep?" asked Bayu who approached Raya and sat on the edge of the bed.

"I'm not sleepy yet" replied Raya

"You missed dinner too. You want something?"

"No, I just don't want to have dinner with Auntie. I'm fine."

Bayu stroked Raya's cheeks gently. "Do you like the gift?"

"Hmmm.. But I don't want to take it."

Raya switched to put her head on Bayu's lap. Bayu stroked Raya's head.

"Why? You want another one?"

"Tante thinks the car is for him. If he knew the car was for me, he'd be disappointed and angry."

"Why do you always think of him. Let's just get this secret out and tell Tessa everything."

"Don't! It's not time he knew."

Bayu frowned. Be surprised by the attitude of the Kingdom which is now increasingly changing.

"May I ask you something?"

Raya lifted her head and looked at Bayu. "What?"

"You're planning something?"

"Something? What I planned. I don't have any plans."

Raya got up and sat facing Bayu. Bayu smiled and stroked Raya's face again.

"I hope so. Don't do anything that could harm yourself or anyone else."

"I want you to pay for everything!" Raya stared intently at Bayu with a slanted smile.

"You mean?" Bayu stared confusedly trying to digest the words Raya.

A second later Raya laughed out loud which added Bayu increasingly confused. Then he realized that Raya was playing him.

"You're getting smarter playing me." Bayu hugged Raya's body tightly until the woman could not move.

"We'd better go to sleep now, tomorrow morning I'll go out of town."

"Hmm... You're not going home tomorrow?"

"Well, if there's not much work there maybe we can have dinner together."

Raya slept in Bayu's arms. However, Bayu was still awake staring at the ceiling of the Kingdom room.

Some things started to disturb his mind. Bayu knew one thing that Defin took Raya to a place she shouldn't go. Suspicion clearly makes Bayu's heart increasingly unsettled. But, when I saw Raya's smile and laughter when I met her, it was impossible for this woman to have such a bad plan.

Bayu slowly let go of Raya's embrace and left from Raya's room. Bayu headed to the back garden to talk to someone.

"You called me?" Defin approached Bayu who was drinking a glass of wine.

Bayu sat on a park bench and put his glass on the table.

"Why did you bring Raya to that place? He shouldn't have been there."

"You just calm down. Miss Raya didn't think about the place." Defin tries to calm down so Bayu believes him.

"Are you able to read someone's mind? It would be a big question mark if Raya was not at all surprised by the existence of the house."

Defin lowered his head, regretting what he had just thought.

"Raya had been traumatized, taking her to such a place would reopen her nightmare."

"I'll remember it."

"One more thing. Never forget that you work for me and do as I say. Beyond my orders you have no right to make decisions including bringing Raya."

"I'm sorry if I crossed the line."

"Even if Raya has special rights doesn't mean you can tell us everything about our work. "

Defin nodded in understanding. Then, Bayu went back into the house.

Meanwhile Raya watched their conversation from above the balcony of her room. Although it did not sound clear the conversation between the two of them. One thing is for sure they are talking about something important.

Raya immediately returned to her bed and pulled back the blanket and returned in her initial position.

Raya felt a movement on her bed, Bayu was already back lying next to her. Raya closed her eyes tightly.

"Where are you from?" ask the Lord to Bayu.

"I'm just looking for some fresh air. Go to sleep, it's late." Bayu pulled Raya's body into his arms.
