On a clear morning, Riana opened her eyelids slowly, feeling heavy and painful all over her body. As his consciousness began to recover bit by bit, he vaguely caught the shadow of a man figure.

Fear began to spread throughout his body, his heart beating twice as fast as usual. The shadow moved, his hands as if they were about to reach out to him. Riana wanted to run, but she could not move.

Rangga who saw it was getting anxious, he pushed the emergency button repeatedly.

The nurse came in a hurry. After seeing Riana's condition, he immediately contacted the nurse's guard room using his Walkie Talkie.

"Code blue! Code blue!"

A few doctors and nurses came in a hurry. The doctor started to examine Riana. He opens her eyelids and shines with Medical Pen Light.

"Sorry, the patient's family please wait outside the room." a nurse gave orders to Rangga and Audrey.

Audrey held onto Rangga's arms firmly, the brothers shuffled against the wall, strengthening each other.

Riana isn't their family, but doesn't empathy need a blood relationship?

"Sister, I'm scared." Audrey started sobbing.

"Calm down, Riana must be strong."

"Rangga, Audrey, what's wrong?" Papa Sebastian arrived with a face full of questions.

"Papa." Audrey slid into her papa's arms. "Sister Riana pa, yesterday time realized not why. But that was..." Audrey couldn't continue.

"Calm down, baby." Sebastian rubbed his daughter's back. "How's Rangga?"

"The medical team is already in pa. Let's just wait for them to come out." said Rangga as calmly as possible.

Sebastian finally leaned against the wall because his daughter did not let go of his embrace. Even when his three best friends came, he preferred not to move from the deck of the father.

Finally a doctor came out. He was surprised to see Sebastian in the crowd.

"Arka, how's Riana doing?" Sebastian immediately asked as he took off Audrey.

"He's in hypovolemic shock, we have to have surgery right now."

"Just do om, whatever handling it is, I beg you. Just do it." Rangga.

"But Rangga, om can not guarantee this operation will save his life. The chances of recovery are very small. This incident assaulted his psychic, he was injured physically and mentally."

"Just do the doctor, as long as it can add time to life."

Doctor Arka sighed. "All right, then."

Doctor Arka entered the treatment room, and then it appears the nurse pushed the gurney towards the operating room.

"Step, calm yourself." Sebastian held his son's shoulder. "We can only pray."

Sebastian took his phone and called someone.

"Clinton, charge with the maximum penalty" he told the company's lawyer at the end of the phone call, then turned to see the four girls. "Yura, please take Audrey to your apartment."

"No pa, Audrey's here waiting for news."

"Riana will survive Drey, rest. You need your strength to take care of him after surgery." Sebastian does not want to be disputed.

With Audrey's grubby steps away, Sebastian gazes at the four girls until they disappear behind the VVIP room's parapet door with another treatment room.

Rangga sighed, slowly he stepped towards the operating room after making sure a nurse secured Riana's treatment room.

"It's better that you go home first, you just arrived." Rangga saw his papa following.

"Papa's fine, because of papa's traffic jam so you can sleep in the car for a while."

There was no more conversation until the two of them arrived in front of the operating room.

Rangga sat down and covered his face with both hands. He recalled his first conversation with Riana after the woman's wedding.

The flashback

"I'm sorry I couldn't help you."

"It's okay, maybe this is my destiny." Riana smiled.

Rangga looked at Riana with sadness, his heart was hurt, but he could do nothing.

"I love you, but I will not tarnish your sacred promise. I need some time."

"I understand, I'm the same. It is impossible to be friends again like before. But it is not impossible to maintain a good relationship without involving the heart. We can do it."

Whatever the foundation of a marriage is, a sacred promise cannot be tainted. Because the Creator does not like evil, all will be rewarded based on deeds.

Flashback off

"Papa is amazed at you Rangga." Sebastian opens the conversation to kill the saturated.

Rangga looked up, looking at his papa face with both eyebrows intertwined.

"You can control your heart while you're with her."

Rangga smiled wryly. "I can't even like another girl yet. How could you say such a thing?"

"Getting a new partner is not a measure you've moved on or not yet son. Isn't it useless you have a new lover but in your heart there's only Riana?"

"Papa's right, a long struggle every day sees it but it must erase the taste." Rangga laughed at himself.

"Because your intentions are good, so the Creator helps you."

Rangga smiled thinly. "What about town Y? Is it okay we're both not there?"

"Of course, papa's gonna be back in a couple of days."

The operation lasted for approximately four hours, and during that time Rangga did not move from the front of the operating room. Until finally the lamp that is above the operating room door goes out, indicating the operation action has been completed.

Sebastian and Rangga stand by the door, waiting for the appearance of Arka doctor as the leader of the surgery team that handles Riana.

"Everything is under control, but we have to wait until he comes to his senses first. That's why I don't dare give you both hope. The conditions are unpredictable" he said honestly.

"Where will he be transferred?" Sebastian asked.

"To the surgical intensive care unit, I don't want to take any chances. The room is at the end of this hallway, on the left. They won't push him down this road, because there's a connecting door in there."

"Thank you Arka."

"Thank you so much."

"Yes, I'll go first."

"Drey, my head hurts to see you walk like an iron." Isabela grumbling.

"Sorry Isa, I'm worried."

"You two, let's eat first. Me and Nabila have prepared everything" Yura said as she started removing the apron.

"You guys, I'm not hungry."

"No, you have to eat." Isa pulled Audrey's hand with all her might.

"Right, we don't want papa Sebastian scolding us." Yura pushed Audrey's back.

They enjoy eating in silence, only the occasional clanking of tableware is heard. Audrey looked uninspired, she fed the food and chewed it slowly.

After eating, they all chose to sit in the pantry while sipping wine. Soon a bell rang and Yura rushed to open the door.

"Audrey." Audrey immediately looked up after hearing her papa voice.

"Papa, how's the operation going?" half-run Audrey approached her papa.

"Walking well, now we just wait for Riana to wake up. Papa's coming home, coming?"

Audrey nodded and said goodbye to her friends.

"If you want to go to the hospital, tell us yes" said Nabila after taking off his embrace.

Audrey just nodded then followed her papa.

At the hospital, Rangga still faithfully accompanied Riana. He wore protective clothing to enter Riana's treatment room post-surgery. He also rejected Sebastian's offer to return home.

"Riana, this is Rangga. You must be strong. I'll take care of you here." whispered in Riana's ear.

"Rangga, go to the cafeteria and eat something." Arka's doctor showed up to check. "There's a lot of nurses here, relax."

"It's okay, um, I'm not hungry yet."

"You don't believe us, hmm?"

"It's not so om. I'm..." Rangga. "Okay om, I went to the cafeteria first." he finally obeyed the advice of Arka's doctor.
