Love Heals Wounds

Love Heals Wounds
6. Contrition

It seems like the sunny weather continues until the afternoon. Create an awesome natural painting on the horizon.

Audrey parked her bike in the garage, she has no plans to go out tonight. Because he had to complete a jewelry design for a famous store that uses his services. Audrey chose to be a freelancer, she didn't want to be tied down. After all this work was taken solely because he liked to design jewelry, not because of the honor received.

After putting the helmet on the available shelf, Audrey entered the main house through a side door connected to the garage.

When entering the middle room he saw papa and Rangga's brother were sitting enjoying a snack.

"Good afternoon gentlemen." said Audrey casually.

"Good afternoon, My Lady." said Rangga. Audrey shuddered in horror at that last word.

"Sit down, there's something you want to say" Sebastian said.

Audrey complies and sits on one of the sofas.

"Two days we'll go somewhere. Get your gear ready, we'll be home for a week or two." Sebastian explained.

"We're going on vacation? It's so sudden." Audrey responded by frowning.

"Not suddenly. My sister has arranged the schedule at the office. You're unemployed for a lot of events, so be told when you can."

"I have a job, I design jewelry, who says I'm unemployed huh?" hatch Audrey.

"Sister said, just now. The time you don't listen. Starting budek?" Rangga.

"I'm not a bitch and I'm not unemployed." Audrey replied as she stood up to her sister.

"The truth is you don't have a job." Rangga stood up too. "Tell me, just accept the reality. You don't argue." Rangga pointed at his sister's nose.

Unexpectedly...

Happhapp!!!

Audrey bites Rangga's index finger,"Aarrgghhhhhh!!!" Rangga.

A moment later Audrey removed the finger from her mouth and ran towards her room.

"Papa, look at him bit me." Rangga endured the pain.

"Who told you to keep teasing him." replied papa lightly as if seeing nothing.

Audrey finished the design quickly and handed it over the day before they left. Not to forget he told his friends about this sudden "holiday" even though he himself did not know where they were headed.

Early in the morning they left home using the Range Rover SV Coupe. Rangga's brother drives himself. They deliberately do not bring the family driver, if tired they can both take turns. Both? Yeah, Audrey's not on the replacement driver's list.

Towards noon they passed the road by the beach, the blue sea and the sound of waves pounding in the distance. A beautiful view that cannot be enjoyed every day.

Unfortunately Audrey missed it all because she fell asleep in the passenger seat. When a car enters the yard of a house he does not know it.

Sebastian got out of the car and immediately hugged a grandmother who had been standing waiting. While Rangga who followed immediately hugged Grandpa who was standing not far from the woman earlier.

"Where is he?" ask Grandpa Satya when hugging Sebastian.

"He's still sleeping in the cake car." Rangga answered while continuing to embrace his grandmother.

"Let me wake him up" said Sebastian.

"Yes, and just leave your stuff in the car. Later Karyo will lower everything and bring it to your respective rooms." Satya's grandfather then turned around and called the person named Karyo.

Sebastian approached the car and opened the side door right behind the driver. Just as he was about to touch Audrey's shoulder, there was a slow movement and Audrey opened her eyes slowly.

"Let's get off, we're here" Sebastian said after seeing his daughter had woken up and opened her eyes perfectly.

"Where is pa?" audrey asked in a hoarse voice typical of people just waking up. He confirmed his sitting position and gulped down the mineral water his father had given him.

"You will know." Sebastian smiled meaningfully.

Audrey got out of the car, casting her eyes all over. In front of him stood a large house model of the colonial era. In the front yard that is not too broad there is a garden and large shady trees, as well as the left and right side of the house. I wondered what his back yard was like, he thought.

Audrey sat opposite the three men, while Sebastian sat next to her.

A long silence, no one started the conversation. Audrey, who felt that she was just following her papa, was also at a loss for what to do. The goals began to sound a muffled sobbing sound.

Audrey looked up, looking like the grandmother was crying on her brother's chest.

Grandfather stood up and extended his hand to Audrey, "Grandfather's name, Satya." he smiled awkwardly.

"Audrey" smilingly welcomed Grandpa Satya's hand. "Sorry, what's going on?" Audrey popped her head.

"Mmmm, dear, Grandpa Satya and Grandma Ida are.." Her chest feels tight. "It's mom's parents." Sebastian continued.

Audrey's eyes widened, she looked at Grandpa and Grandma who were still in Rangga's arms alternately, then she looked down. "I never knew" he said.

"Because we never wanted to accept your papa" a deep regret was evident in every word Grandpa spoke.

Everyone went back to silence, nobody spoke, no matter what. Eve in the middle room was very cold.

Kruukk...Kruuukk....

All looking up to find the source of the sound.

"I'm sorry, I'm hungry" Rangga said.

"Duh, sorry, grandma forgot. Come on.ayo let's go to the dining room. Grandma has prepared lunch. Talk about the history later." Grandma stood up while wiping tears on her wrinkled skin.

The five of them ate a meal with a light conversation just stale, Audrey just quietly enjoyed the meal.

"How does it feel?" I heard grandma's voice. Audrey looked up, grandma was staring at her. That meant the question to me, her heart.

"It's very tasty, there are some that are similar to the Cooks' cooking at home" Audrey replied with a smile. After that he went back to silence and ate food on his plate.

In the afternoon, Rangga had finished bathing and changed clothes. He plans to walk in the backyard.

As he passed by a room he saw grandfather, grandmother and papa just standing still looking at something. He followed the three men's eyes.

It turned out that they were staring at Audrey who was busy looking at the photos on display that filled the wall and were placed on a special table.

"Can Audrey hear the story now?" the door turned around.

"We talked in the room earlier." Grandpa led the troupe to move.

Arriving in the living room, grandparents sit side by side, while Sebastian and Rangga sit flanking Audrey, they take the place facing grandparents.

"Twenty-seven years ago, grandfather didn't approve of my son Tiara's marriage to Sebastian." Grandpa began to tell me, Grandma clasped his hands as if to give strength.

"I don't approve of the marriage because I think Tiara is too young, so is Sebastian, her efforts have just begun, how will she make Tiara happy. Besides, in my eyes Sebastian is a handsome young man who is cold and arrogant, surely he cannot be loyal because many women will approach him."

"A year later Rangga was born, there was a feeling of happiness at that time. But Grandpa was too prestigious, even when they came to visit bringing Rangga who was still a baby. Grandpa didn't want to go out at all, my pride was everything, so I couldn't see my only daughter's happiness. Satya sighed sadly, imagining Tiara's smile.

"Four years later Audrey was born. Your grandmother is getting happier to hear that, from the beginning she did not mind Tiara's marriage. I know, from the beginning Tiara married secretly she likes to visit Tiara." Grandpa glanced at Grandma who blushed in shame, remembering the many lies that were used as an excuse to go see her daughter.

"When you're five years old, Grandpa has fully accepted your mother Audrey's decision. But only a few months later he left grandpa." Grandpa started crying. "If only I knew the time wasn't long.if only I wasn't selfish, maybe...." Grandfather covered his face, his tears could not be dammed anymore. Grandma hugged Grandpa and dissolved into that regretful cry.

Audrey stood up, her tears had already started to flow bit by bit. He stepped toward his grandparents, then bent his knees to align his body with those sitting.

Grandpa and Grandma stretched out a hug, shocked to feel Audrey's presence, even more so when Audrey burst into the arms of the two of them.

Sebastian and Rangga who saw it could not stem their tears anymore.
