Love Heals Wounds

Love Heals Wounds
46. Acting

Audrey looked at her face in the mirror, she tidied up her long-sleeved blouse. It had been this week that he had always been wearing the equipment Yura had given him. Juliana's warning cannot be underestimated. Plus yesterday he got the latest message from Rangga through Yura.

Aaron had already gone to the office, so Audrey was free to take out all her equipment after locking the room. He cleaned his beloved Glock Meyer 22. Check the Taser Gun, and a folding knife that can be hidden in the arm with the help of a special fastening tool. Behind a plain midi skirt he wore pants equipped with holster thighs. Also holster's chest behind the blouse.

After all the equipment was done, he stared at the device to see the kitchen area through the butterfly clamp that Yura gave him. These few days he spied on some servants who took care of the inside of the house.

On the screen appeared a female servant was making the juice she ordered earlier. After turning his head to observe his surroundings, the waiter stuffed something into the drink in an extremely quick motion.

"Meet! turns out you're the traitor." Audrey smiled cynically. "Let's play Rebecca."

Rebecca's in action today

As soon as the contents of the message he sent to Yura. For these few days his three best friends were always in their headquarters just in case.

In the third apartment the girl was preparing all their equipment. Then bring it down and put it all in a black Mercedes Benz G-Class.

"Nothing's left, is it?" ask Nabila to the other two girls. Isabela and Yura just nodded.

"All of. Are we leaving right away or waiting if Audrey's signal moves?"

"We'd better wait for the signal from Audrey" Yura replied as she stared at the device in her hand.

"I'm hungry." Isabella rubbed her stomach.

"Didn't you eat?" Nabila stared in wonder.

"Yes, but if it's this tense I'm getting hungry."

"Don't eat a lot, your costume won't fit." Yura reminded.

"And your prince will not be able to sustain your body." Nabila added.

Isabella could only pluck her lips to hear all the words.

Meanwhile, in Tika's study. Looks like the owner of the room pacing back and forth with a tense face.

"Sit down baby, moving like that won't make you calmer" Isak told his wife.

"Even you make me dizzy, Kartika Saka." added Bagas while massaging his temple.

Aaron was silent with fingers stringing each other together. He kept thinking about Audrey, his future wife was being bait.

"What if the drugs hurt Audrey?" said suddenly.

"Gosh, you've said that dozens of times." Bram's upset.

Geck...Geck...Geck...

Bram stepped open the door, looking like two men in casual clothes were standing with a smile.

"Please enter" said Bram.

"Are we late?"

"No, we haven't heard from him" Tika replied.

"Let's Sebastian." Bagas let it be, Aaron stared at the arrival of the two men with a frown.

"O yes, introduce. This is my son, Aaron." said Bagas as he moved his chin.

Aaron immediately stood up and stretched out his hand to show respect to his Papa friend.

"Hello om, I'm Aaron" he said with a smile.

"Sebastian. And this is my son, Rangga." Sebastian welcomes Aaron's hand and introduces Rangga.

Aaron reached out to Rangga after shaking Sebastian. Rangga smiled faintly and greeted Bagas.

"So, she's my sister-in-law's candidate?" rangga said to Sebastian.

"Did you disagree?" Bagas asked while raising one of his eyebrows.

"It's not like that Om. Whoever Audrey chooses, I accept." Rangga smiled sincerely. "But I need to remind you, you got a mountain lion, not a Persian cat" Rangga said as he looked at Aaron.

Hearing that Aaron looked increasingly confused. He looked at Tika, asking through the eyes.

"Sebastian is Audrey's father, and Rangga is her brother." Tika explained briefly.

"It's hard to know Audrey's identity?" Rangga raised his eyebrows.

Aaron smiled wryly. "How can I find his identity if the owner of a technology company is behind it." Aaron recognized Rangga who has a subsidiary in the field of Technology.

"Yes, that is also one of the advantages of having a business in the field of Communication. Right, Sebastian." Bagas patted his former rival's shoulder.

"Can you all sit down?" tika Pinta.

"Can't you sit down, too?" Isak looked at his wife amusedly.

"I'm tense." replied Tika while chirping.

Drrtt...Drrtt....Drrtt...

Aaron stared at his phone, he shifted the screen to pick up the phone and turned on the loudspeaker.

"Hello."

"What do you want?"

"There's no stale base. Good though. Your wife is in my hands. If you want him to survive, come to the address I'll send you. Alone." said Arneta with great emphasis.

"Alright, but if he gets hurt, I'll make sure you don't get a dime."

"Hahahaha, I understand my son."

Arneta immediately disconnected the connection. Soon a message came in giving the address. Rangga asked for the address and sent it to Yura.

Aaron took a breath, not the relief but the tightness he felt. Sebastian and Rangga's faces turned dark.

"I'm gone." I don't know who Aaron said goodbye to.

"Be careful" said Bagas, hugging his son.

"Damian will take care of me Pa." apparently Aaron involved his best friend. Not involving, but Damian himself begged after hearing the story from Aaron. He is looking for activities that trigger adrenaline in order to relieve his heartache.

"Calm yourself, Audrey's safe." Sebastian entertaining.

Aaron raised one eyebrow. "Nobody's safe with Arneta, Om."

Sebastian puts on a smile full of mystery.

"Just do your part as best you can. Because if you're nervous, my daughter will die."

Aaron nodded and left immediately. As he passed by Rangga, the young man simply nodded and placed the phone in his ear.

"Yes Ta, how?"

"We've been in position. Audrey's GPS indicates they're indeed at the address Rebecca gave them."

"We'll be there soon" said Rangga. "Yes."

"Yes, brother."

"Be careful, baby."

"I-yes, brother." Yura sounded nervous, Rangga smiled sweetly hearing that.

Sebastian looked at Rangga with a smile. "It seems Yura is more nervous facing you than facing the enemy."

Rangga just smiled. "We're leaving?"

"Yes." replied Sebastian confidently. "You coming with us or taking your own car?"

"I'm with you." replied Bagas. "You'd better come with Bram, Isak."

"Good." answered the two people who were called together.

"Tika, stay here" Isak told his wife.

"I could die of tension, I beg you, I want to come along." she asked the husband. "Bang, I beg you." this time he whined at Bagaskara.

"Sorry, we can't. We don't know Arneta's backup plan." Bagas.

"But..."

"Kartika! I beg you." Isak. "Just Audrey's in danger. Don't add yourself anymore."

Tika looked down lethargic. "Alright, I'll wait here" he said resignedly.

Isaac pulled Tika into his arms. He gently rubbed his wife's back.

"Go, bring my daughter-in-law home safely." Tika commented on the sweet smile as she stretched her husband's embrace. Isak kissed Tika's forehead fondly. He rushed after the group who first left the room.

After all was gone, Tika picked up the phone to call.

"Hello" he said after his call was received. "Joan, can you accompany me in the room?"

"......"

"Thank you."

Tika put the phone on the desk, she sat in her work chair with a slumped back . His chest felt uneasy, he was afraid that something evil might happen.

.

"Where?" ask Roki on someone on his phone.

"....."

"I'll be there soon." the man turned off his phone, wiped his tears violently and drove the car at high speed.

After arguing with himself, three days ago after seeing his wife he decided to check on her. The results came out last night. Thinking of it infuriated him, he further tightened his grip on the steering wheel.

I didn't think it would end up like this.
