43. Don't Refuse

Sebastian sits uneasily in his car. He's on his way to The Jewel. This morning, Rangga had told Sebastian about Audrey. He did not expect, his daughter dared to take a decision of this magnitude without telling him.

A store clerk escorts Sebastian into Tika's room after telling Sebastian he wants to meet. The notice made Tika walk around in her room, she was nervous about Sebatian's reaction later.

Geck...Geck...Geck...

"Lake in."

The door opened, looking as if an employee was bowing in salute. After erecting his body, the officer turned aside, allowing Sebastian to enter.

"Thank you." Sebastian flatly told the clerk. He stared intently at Tika, then stepped in.

"How are you, Sebastian?" Tika looks nervous.

"Well, where's Audrey?" ask Sebastian without saying anything.

"Sit down first." Tika. He sat down on the sofa facing the man.

"So where's my daughter?" Sebastian repeated the question.

"In the Bagaskara mansion." replied Tika after painstakingly swallowing her saliva.

"Why did you involve my daughter Tika?"

"It was unintentional. Arneta, brother's second wife saw him with my niece Aaron at the beach." Tika started the story.

"Because Aaron did not agree to be married to Arneta's niece, he lied to say Audrey was his wife. Aaron used to help Audrey pretend to be a lover. Therefore, without knowing who the woman in front of him was, Audrey confirmed Aaron's words." Sebastian knitted an eyebrow at Tika's words.

"After learning the woman was Aaron's stepmother, Audrey regretted it. But I persuaded him to be willing to help."

Sebastian breathed a rough sigh. He had also heard from Rangga, the reason Audrey was desperate to continue this crazy plan. He rubbed his face violently.

"Is Arneta okay?" Tika was surprised by Sebastian's question.

"Y-yes, sure. The woman's fine."

"Are there any injuries Audrey gave her?"

Tika raised both eyebrows, she did not believe in her hearing. Sebastian asks about Arneta.

"Nothing, still as smooth as it was before Audrey came." Tika was a bit upset when she answered him. "You are, why are you asking the condition of that woman?! Not Audrey."

"Thank God, Audrey hasn't killed him yet." Sebastian sounded relieved, while Tika's eyes were perfectly rounded.

"What do you mean?!"

"Tiara didn't die in Tika's accident." Sebastian's face was sad. "He was murdered."

Tika shut her mouth with both hands.

"WHAT???!!!" a man's voice boomed, filling Tika's room making Tika and Sebastian squeak out of surprise.

"Bagas, are you alive?" Sebastian was surprised to see the man appear on the doorstep.

"Yes, I'm alive. I survived death." Bagas went inside with Dr. Bram leading him. Tika immediately helped Bagas to sit on one of the sofas between them.

"You stay here Bram, sit down" Bagas said as he saw Bram leaving. The young man just kept quiet and sat down beside Bagas.

"Continue your story." Bagas stared intently at Sebastian.

Sebastian sighed before beginning his speech.

"Sixteen years ago, a woman obsessed with me kidnapped Tiara and Audrey. A servant in the house betrayed and helped the kidnapper. Three days later I found their location." Sebastian fell silent, his eyes began to glaze over.

"When we arrived it was too late. Tiara lay on the floor with some puncture wounds. Audrey hugged Tiara. Blood is on the floor of the house." There was a restrained voice from the three listeners, then Tika's tears just shed. He closed his mouth with both hands.

"What was worse, Audrey watched with her eyes as the woman repeatedly slammed a knife into Tiara's body." Sebastian's voice choked. "My little 5-year-old daughter saw for herself how her mother was killed."

Bram lowered his head, unconsciously shedding tears.

"Tiara's departure was a hard blow to me. But facing the traumatized Audrey, it was even more terrifying. When he was 7 years old, we found him in the backyard in a shirt full of blood. Not far from there, a chicken had been cut into dozens of pieces."

"The atmosphere became very unstable, seeing a woman on the side of the road scolding her child, she strangled a cat as soon as we got home. Lucky someone saw that."

"That's why you asked about Arneta's condition?" Tika had managed to suppress her grief. Sebastian just nodded.

"Who is that woman?" bagas said, he insisted on asking even though his tongue felt funny.

"16 years ago her name was Rebecca. And now her name is Arneta, your wife."

The faces of the three people changed pias, they did not expect the answer Sebastian gave. But a second later their hands clenched, faces turned red holding back anger.

"He sabotaged my car, he planned to kill me. Now by giving his body to Roki, he's trying to drain my treasure." Bagas growling.

"Now I know what Audrey's thinking is." Bram. "He saw for himself how Arneta messed up his family, so now he wants to derail the woman's plans."

"Yes, that's it. Good intentions but careless." Sebastian scolded. "Give me a picture of the man named Roki" he asked.

"I'll send it." Tika stood up to take her phone.

"What are you gonna do?" Bagas frowned at Sebastian.

"I don't want to risk my daughter's presence in your mansion."

"Calm down, my son Aaron will protect him. He won't let the girl he loves get hurt."

"WHAT?!"

"Come on, don't overdo it. It's wrong of you to have a charming daughter, so my son is in love."

"Yes, and long before this charade began. Aaron's in love with Audrey." Tika added.

"I'm not..."

"Don't refuse us!!! I used to succumb to you, and let Tiara be yours even if I wasn't willing to." said Bagas sharply. "So now I beg you, give my son a chance to have princess Tiara." her face turned soft.

Sebastian sighed and rubbed his face violently. He was silent for a while, looking Sebastian was thinking about Bagaskara's words. After a few minutes of silence, Sebastian finally raised his face to look at Bagas.

"I'm handing it over completely to Audrey" Sebastian said resignedly.

"Good!" Tika exclaimed in excitement. "Because a few days ago Audrey received Aaron's love statement and proposal."

"Inforsaken?!" The compound stared in disbelief.

"Yes, you didn't hear me wrong. My niece doesn't want to date, she wants to get married."

"Isn't that a good thing?" Bram approves.

"Indeed, even though we were surprised. Isak advises her to declare love and ask to be a lover. But in practice, Aaron expressed love and asked to be a wife." Tika bobbing head.

"It turns out he's braver than his papa." Sebastian insinuates Bagas.

"Blog*n!!" hiss Bagas growled.

"Open your e-mail, I've sent you a picture of Roki" Tika said as she sat back down.

"What's your plan?" Bagas.

"Surprise, I'll call you guys." Sebastian smile. "I go first." he said goodbye.

"Take my daughter" she said as she hugged Bagas.

"Of course, I will definitely take care of my only son-in-law." Bagas.

Sebastian leaves The Jewel with an erratic mind. The priority at this time was to meet her in-laws and secure Roki. He immediately sent a photo of Roki to Rangga along with instructions that his son had to do.
