"Why, Brother? Is Brother nervous?" laila asked as she felt Daisha's anxiety.
The blind girl was silent, her fingers squeezing the end of the stick she was holding. Sweat was springing up around the face, the chest rumbling violently. He was fighting the trauma, casting aside all the shadows that made him weak.
I have to be able to fight it. Dad, Mom, help me!
Daisha's heart murmured painfully, palms feeling wet from the sweat that kept popping uncontrollably. Laila is worried Daisha's trauma is coming again. No doctors were handling it, they were on their way to Jakarta.
The teenage girl touched Daisha's hand, unscrewed her from the cane, grasped her warmly and tightly. Wet and cold. The girl's hand was shaking.
"Sister, relax, yeah. I was right here. Look, Brother's not alone. There's Laila here, there's Kak Dareen too. So, Big Brother should be calm and strong. Brother must not lose to the past." Laila dropped her head on Daisha's shoulder, shaking like a person holding back a cry.
Dareen turned her head, wanting to switch seats to Daisha's side and change with Laila, but she hesitated. Laila is more able to calm Daisha than she is.
"La-laila, you won't leave Brother alone, will you? We'll always be together, won't we? Say that to Sister, Laila," said Daisha trembling and stammering.
His hand held by Laila tightened the fingers of the teenage girl. Daisha drops her head over her sister's head, trying to convince her heart that she is no longer alone.
"No, Brother. I will not leave Brother alone, we will continue together like this. Big Brother must be strong, doesn't Big Brother want me to continue school and become human? Brother must not give up" said Laila, taking off the link of their hands and hugging Daisha.
The blind girl smiled, nodding lightly as she kissed the sister's head. Dareen who saw him was moved by the affection of the two girls. Not only himself, but Alfin was also filled with excitement even though he only glanced through the rearview mirror.
Laila was closed to feel the sweep in her hair, the shock on Daisha's shoulder was reduced, the rumble in her chest that she felt was slowly subsiding. Daisha is able to fight all that, and through it well.
"Sister, is it calmer?" laila asked while looking up at Daisha's face.
The girl simply nodded, both corners of her lips raised upwards albeit faintly. Laila was grateful and relieved, again dropping her head on Daisha's shoulder.
He opened his eyes and met Dareen. The man gave her a code to change seats. Laila looked up before moving away from her brother's body.
"Where are you going? Are we there yet?" daisha asked quickly holding Laila's hand up. Restless, that was what could be seen from the look on the face of the blind girl.
The teenage girl patted Daisha's hand, calming her from bad thoughts.
"We're not there yet, brother. Brother Dareen wants to change seats with me. She wanted to sit next to Brother," said Laila who slowly relaxed Daisha's hand.
Dareen leaned over to the back seat and sat down next to another Daisha. Alternating with Laila who was sitting in front, beside Alfin who was driving. He had no intention of talking to her, kept on wearing his seatbelt and folded his hands around his stomach. Next, Laila leaned her head and closed.
Meanwhile in the back seat, Dareen sat side by side with the lover. Daisha squeezed her wand back, staring blankly ahead as if she did not care about Dareen.
His heart was beating another, but not the uneasiness he felt. Falling in love always makes the heart feel like it is above height. Crunching, pounding erratically.
Daisha flinched as a hand grabbed her fingers, grasped them warmly and linked their fingers. It doesn't feel the same as when Laila did. The hand that grasped it this time formed a rumble within the chest. It brings out different flavors.
"You okay?" dareen asked a glance at her girl who instantly blushed.
Daisha rubbed her nervous hair, not knowing what Dareen's current gaze was like, she did not know. To be sure, his face was now warm. He nodded slowly without saying anything with words.
Dareen pulled Daisha's body into a hug, dropped the girl's head over her shoulders and rubbed her hair gently.
"You take it easy, Daisha. Don't ever think you're alone, I'll never leave you. Soon I'll marry you, and we'll live together later. I'm sure you're a strong woman and are able to fight it all" Dareen said as she kissed Daisha's palm.
The blind girl's heart warmed, she smiled again feeling safe and comfortable in the grasp of the lover. Daisha continues to convince her heart that she is not alone. There are Laila and Dareen who are now filling the void of his life.
Hopefully in the future there are no significant problems that they have to face. May everything be fine and go according to his wishes. Hopefully and hopefully, the universe will support them.
"Sister, what if your family doesn't approve of our relationship? Brother knows myself I'm just a blind girl who may not be worthy of being in the family environment Brother," asked Daisha opening up the possibility that had plagued her mind all along.
His hand that Dareen was holding felt trembling signifying the uneasiness of his heart. It is not easy to accept someone with a deficiency like him. Moreover, he was blind and definitely considered useless. Who would accept a blind girl as the daughter-in-law in her family?
Dareen was amazed, he never thought about it because in his mind, everyone in the house there are good people and can accept anyone. However, if such unease as Daisha felt occurred, she had not thought of it for the future.
How next? Maybe Dareen will follow his heart. Is love never wrong? His heart has chosen Daisha as the port of love, he wants nothing else. Even if the world opposes, she will still choose Daisha.
Dareen sighed, her hand that hugged Daisha's body getting stronger. As if I didn't want to be separated from the girl. The blind girl who had broken her heart.
In front, Alfin glanced at them. The same concern he felt, Alfin knew very well how the Dareen family behaved. Especially the Goddess, the man's mother. Laila who faintly heard, also opened her eyes. Worried about the same thing as Daisha, but she convinces herself of the promise Dareen once made.
"You take it easy, I've made my choice. I won't change it, I just want you to be my partner. Stay by my side and trust you, even if the world wants to separate us. Do you believe me, Daisha? I love you so much and I don't care what I'm going to face up ahead" Dareen said, peeping at Daisha's head on her shoulder.
The hearts of the two girls were calm to hear that, whatever was going to happen in front, a strong mutual trust they had to hold firmly as a principle in living a relationship.
Daisha nodded, trying to believe the man who had stolen her heart.
