Laughter sounded from one of the rooms in the hospital, the silent night became crowded by the voices of women who sounded happy because of one silliness that had occurred. A laugh that made people wonder at hearing it and wonder about what was going on in there.
"Did you really forget that?" areta asked along with the rest of the laughter that made her unfold a moment ago.
"Yes, Auntie" Daisha said with a flushed face.
"Geez, I didn't expect that Big Brother forgot how to open his eyes. It's really ridiculous" Laila said, laughing at Daisha who couldn't remember how to open her eyelids.
Dareen's wife looked down, ashamed. He had thought back to being blind due to gunpowder that hit his left shoulder.
"Do I look ridiculous? I was really scared. I thought I was blind again and couldn't see anymore, but I gave up on my life. How fate played me was also my feeling. I won't demand any more" he said with a heavy sigh.
His gaze was straight up staring at the ceiling of the room while thinking about the state of Dareen. How's that husband doing? Has he stopped wailing?
"Don't be like that, your life journey is still long. You're even gonna start a new dream after this .. ah, how's your wound? Doesn't it hurt? You look ordinary. Why not grimace?" scatter Areta with a frown on her forehead.
He noticed the bandage around the left shoulder of the nephew, imagining for himself how the pain would be when the hand was moved. Daisha turned to the left side of her body, glanced at the wound that was covered and tried to move it.
"Mmm. .. is not too painful, just a little pain. Maybe tomorrow or the day after tomorrow it will heal" he said, moving his hands up and down.
It's been better than when that hot lead just landed there. Feeling numbness and numbness, aches and pains came simultaneously, making him moan at the time. Only one face she saw at a time when the world was almost dark, Dareen, her husband.
Areta and Laila sighed because of it, they massaged a chest full of gratitude.
"What about your stomach?" areta asked again after a while looking at her nephew's face.
"Somach?" Daisha repeated her aunt's words, eyes filled with confusion.
Daisha covered her own stomach, there were no cuts or bruises there. He confirmed it several times and rubbed it looking for pain on the surface.
Daisha looked up again, staring at the two with a shrunken forehead. He shook his head, shrugged his shoulders indifferently feeling fine. Seeing Daisha's confused reaction, Areta understood that her niece did not know there was life in her womb.
"My stomach is good, Auntie. Lately I've been even night voraciously, not as usual. Aunty need not feel anxious like this," Daisha replied with a soothing smile.
However, the sigh that Areta breathed was also Laila who just kept silent, making Daisha wonder for herself. He pulled out his clothes and showed a normal stomach condition and there were no cuts or bruises there.
"Auntie look! My stomach is fine, there are no wounds. Why does Aunt look worried?" daisha asked again increasingly demanding answers.
His eyes rolled to the right and left, staring alternately at his aunt and sister who were still silent yet to speak.
"You sure it's okay? Not feeling sick or bad in the stomach? Tell me, how do you feel on the inside of your stomach?" ask Areta again increasingly confused people who asked.
"What's the matter, Bi? Why does Aunt keep asking about my stomach? What am I feeling? I feel fine, my wound is here, not in the stomach" Daisha said pointing at the shoulder starting to get annoyed at being played with.
Areta glanced at Laila, the teenager shrugged his shoulders ignorantly. She has not learned about pregnancy as well as life in the womb. She also doesn't know how pregnant women feel. Areta looked back at Daisha, looking at the warm brownish bead and reconciling it carefully.
"Didn't you feel the life in it?" ask Areta to approach.
"Life? Life is like a-"
Daisha did not continue his sentence, he was astonished to hear his tongue speak of a life in the stomach. Daisha slowly lowered her head, looking at her own stomach. Areta smiled, feeling Daisha begin to understand where their conversation was going.
"Life? Is it in my stomach? Life?" he murmured while rubbing his own stomach in a circular motion.
"Well, life is in there. Someone will grow and develop there, do you realize it? Or do you not know it yourself?" clearly Areta with a smile Haru saw Daisha's hand rubbing her own stomach.
Dareen's wife raised her face, looking at Areta with water that had pooled in the fertilizer.
"What do you mean, I'm pregnant? With a child, is that it?" ask Daisha.
The sound coming out of her lips rang out, a newness instantly filling the recesses as Areta nodded her head in response to a question from her. Daisha let out a heavy sigh, tears spilling down consecutively.
He looked back at his flat stomach and looked normal, a sense of disbelief a life had been present in there. A life Dareen wants, a new beginning to build dreams. He clenched his own stomach, bowing while sobbing.
Areta and Laila embraced him, feeling sorry for the gift God had given them. One life has come, new family members are added to their home.
"What should I do, Auntie? I don't understand about pregnancy?" ask Daisha worriedly.
Areta was silent, she was just like herself because she had never felt pregnant.
"You take it easy, Aunt once accompanied your mother when she was pregnant with you. It seems like Auntie understands a little. If you do not remember wrong, in the beginning of her pregnancy, your mother often feels nauseous in the morning. He even spewed out all the food that had just crossed his stomach, but you don't worry. It's all normal for a pregnant woman like you" explains Areta who is not soothing, but instead scares Daisha.
"Don't scare me, Auntie. Aunt's explanation scared me. Is Mom like that?" daisha grimaced in fear and horror at her aunt's explanation.
Areta thought, thinking back to the times where Daisha's mother was pregnant. She was asked by Damian to accompany her because she had to go on a business trip abroad with her husband.
"Bunty was like that, to the extent that Aunt thought your mother was sick. The aunt took him to the hospital and the doctor said he was okay. Then a good news came to us. It's been a long time in the family not hearing the sound of a baby crying until you're born into this world, baby. Your mother is fine and your father looks very happy. You'll see her happy face on your husband when he's born" Areta said, rubbing Daisha's stomach.
Did ya? I'm gonna see it? She must be very happy to hear about this pregnancy. I'll give him a surprise later.
Daisha smiled happily at the face of her husband.
