Inside a room, Aleena started to look uneasy. It was not like waiting for the middle-aged woman to wake up from fainting. Walking back and forth while biting his nails, clucking irritably impatiently.
"I gotta get out, I need to know what's going on at the party. Why has no one come here to replace me" his grunts were annoyed.
Aleena looked at the Goddess who was lying down, since the eyelids framed by false eyelashes were closed and there was no sign of it going open.
Aleena removed the tail of her dress and let it wink away. He walked quickly out of the room, towards where the party was being held.
The guests had crowded the place, he was in a daze looking for the whereabouts of his parents as well as Dareen. Aleena changed the look of her face to be sad, she even gave eye drops to her eyes to look like she was crying.
He ran up to his parents who had emerged from behind a wall. While crying, hugging the mother was about to complain.
"What's up, baby? Why are you crying all of a sudden?" asked the mother, taking off her hug and rubbing her daughter's face.
Aleena was still pretending, sobbing while looking down.
"Don't cry, isn't this your engagement day. You should be smiling" said the father as he rubbed Aleena's hair.
The sly woman raised her face, looking at the two old men with her wet eyes.
"Who's getting engaged, Dad, Mom? Dareen brings another girl to this party and she claims to be her fiance. She even forgot me, how can I not cry? I'm embarrassed," said Aleena still pretending to cry.
A few girls his age who were friends of Aleena were flabbergasted to hear that. They did not expect that a girl as beautiful as Aleena who became a prima donna among millionaires would experience something tragic in a relationship.
"What?" Aleena's mother screeched, her face tensed not accepting.
"Where is the Goddess? I have to talk to him about this. How dare he humiliate my daughter," he growled as he spread his gaze to all corners of the room looking for the Goddess.
"The Goddess' aunt isn't here, ma'am. Besides, it's not Aunt's fault, but that itchy girl who's been teasing Dareen and deliberately making him forget me even more, Mom. Aunty even fainted from shock and until now has not been conscious," Aleena said.
The middle-aged woman's eyes widened, staring at Aleena unconvinced.
"What about Bardy? Does he know?" he asked when he accidentally saw the man in question talking in the distance.
Aleena bit her lips, she indeed deserved the title as the best actress.
"Uncle knows, and he supports them. I don't know, Mom. I don't know what to do, that girl really knocked me out of Dareen's heart." Aleena covered her face and came back crying.
"What's my cage? I was loyal and loved her very much, but she easily turned away and replaced me with the blind girl. I'm fine if she's just the perfect girl like me, she's blind, Mom. The girl was blind and managed to pit us," Aleena chimed in with a whim.
Which mother's heart does not hurt to hear her child is treated unfairly. The woman's chest was heating up, as was the father's. They stared wildly at every head at the party. Looking for the figure of Dareen.
"You stay here, I'll give the man a lesson. It's good that he hurt my son, replaced him with a blind girl." Aleena's mother left annoyedly followed by her father anyway. Go around looking for a Dareen figure to be taught a lesson.
A few girls approached, comforting Aleena not to be too sad. They feel sorry for what happened to him. Keep comforting Aleena to keep her calm.
"We honorable people don't deserve to be treated like this, let alone she's just a blind girl whose degree is below ours. Dareen is outrageous, and the girl should be taught a lesson" one of them said furiously.
"You're right, the blind girl we have to teach her a lesson so she knows where she's supposed to be" said another chiming in.
"You take it easy, Aleena. We will not allow this injustice."
Aleena smiled, nodding as she rubbed the water falling from her eyes. Inwardly the cheering managed to gain an ally.
"Come, we'll find the girl."
With a passionate spirit, they go together to find Daisha. The girl wasn't at the party, I don't know where she went.
"Are we really on the roof?" daisha asked still unsure.
"You can feel the wind, right? There are no sounds here either. Why why?" ask Dareen back.
"Ah, it's okay. I just felt dejavu, I used to feel like I was sitting on top of a building with someone. I don't know if it's real or just a hallucination" Daisha said, shaking her head in ignorance.
Dareen was speechless, looking at the polished face of that thin make-up. She is the same as Daisha, not remembering the old days before she lost her memory. Only a part of it appeared, and a part of it disappeared somewhere.
In such a quiet moment, the tall screech of a woman distracts them.
"The girl is shameless, she can take someone else's potential fiancee!"
The high voice made Dareen turn his head, he turned his head to look at the two Aleena parents who came to hit them.
"Who are y'all? And which girl did you say was shameless?" ask Dareen confused.
For such a situation at that time, pretending memory loss was the best way. Let them consider it memory loss to protect Daisha.
Aleena's parents stared at each other with both eyes wide open and eyes wide open.
"Do you really not remember us?" Their voices are low when they learn the truth about Dareen's amnesia.
The young man nodded innocently, a confused look clearly visible on his handsome face.
"We're Aleena's parents. You remember?" press Aleena's father while approaching the sofa Dareen occupied.
Dareen's eyebrows are getting tangled up complicated, he tilts his head in search of a memory. They smiled waiting, but disappeared just like that when Dareen again shook his head.
"Who's Aleena? I don't know him" Dareen said, leaving them dazed.
The intention of wanting to scold the young man, was lost instantly by Dareen's attitude of pretending to forget.
"You don't remember Aleena either? He's your fiancee, Dareen. What caused you to forget him to us too?" ask Aleena's mom.
They were inexhaustible, but when they remembered Aleena's story about Dareen's accident, they understood. Perhaps it was because his head hit that caused the man to lose his memory.
"So, you really don't remember us?"
Once again Dareen shook his head. Aleena's father sighed, they glanced at Daisha who just remained silent without reacting. The girl looked calm while holding the cane in hand. Blaming the girl is also not good, which there will only make Dareen more hateful and more away from them.
Without saying any more the two turned around to leave, secretly Dareen smiled cunningly. He managed to trick the old man. Wait until the time comes, Aleena's rot will be dismantled.
"You lied, brother. You remember them, don't you? Why pretend?" daisha asked after confirming their departure.
Dareen turned back, sighing in relief that nothing was bothering anymore.
"I just don't want them to hurt you. By faking amnesia, they won't blame you" Dareen said.
What he did was solely to protect Daisha.
"Thank you."
Dareen pulled Daisha's body, hugging her tightly.
"Don't thank me."
