If I were asked what something so heavy was, I would answer a wait that was enough to keep me burdened every day. Maybe this is too much for a little boy who is 8 years old this year but this is a real reality.
Days changed days, weeks changed weeks, months changed and finally the year I was waiting for arrived. I cannot express this happiness when the dream is in sight. I was so impatiently waiting for that year to cross out a circle around the number of date numbers on the calendar that was on the wall exactly in my room.
I stepped back away from the clender with sparkling eyes. My heart beats so fast that my whole body feels so hot and has a smile that is matchless. Maybe, yes this is just a small thing for many people but for me it is a very big thing.
Finally that year has arrived, soon Ari will go to school.
"Ari's going to school, yeeeee!!!"
"Ari's going to school!!!"
I was jumping so very happily, I was circling, dancing and cheering happily as if I were on a cloud sprinkled with beautiful flowers. That smile never left my lips, I am really happy right now.
I can't express it with a word. It's not too much my friend, it's just a child's expression of a sense of happiness that really burns in the heart.
I ran as fast as I could out of the room to the kitchen area where my mother was busy washing dishes after breakfast this morning.
"Sme!"
I hugged her tightly from behind making her move her elbow trying to push me. I didn't pay attention to it even the two eyebrows of the mother seemed to be furiously linked but, it only made me laugh a little and re-hugged her tightly.
"Dad! What's the matter with you?"
"Ari's very happy now, Mom."
"Why? Why are you so happy? It's not that every day you look sad and sit in front of your calendar."
"Yes, but that was not sad anymore."
"Why is it that fast?"
"Iya Mak because this year Ari has turned 8 years old and Ari will also go to school. Ari is so happy."
Hearing that, the movement of the hands of the mother who was busy washing dishes stopped accompanied by the appearance of her face flat as if not happy with the sentence I uttered. I don't care about my mother's expression because the thought of happiness that always looms in my mind makes me not care about anything.
"This year Ari's really going to school right, Mommy?"
I asked and my mother was silent but it seemed to give me an answer yes. Mom didn't say that but it was this happy feeling that affirmed it.
"Then Ari will definitely make this year a very happy year for Ari."
"Ari go first, yes mama. Ari will tell this to Ari's friends."
"The friends of Ari, Ami, Angga Cai and Ririn would definitely be happy to hear that. I'll go first, Mak."
After saying that I ran away unconsciously I did not wear sandals and broke through rough rocks approaching my friends who seemed to have been cool playing there.
"Heyiii!" I shouted while waving.
"I also want to play with all of you" I said with a very happy feeling.
My friends turned their heads towards me and temporarily stopped the game. They were all Cai, Ririn, Angga and Ami compactly looking at me with the same gaze as mother.
The confusion!
Yeah, I think I'm really weird right now. How they don't look at me, confused, last year I was filled with faces so sad and even those who always ask me why I always look sad and now I come with a smile that is unmatched.
I stopped my run with a breath of frenzy, lowered my head slightly while holding my knees that felt like they had been sore after running from home to this place. Sweat running down my temple, I'm actually sweating right now.
I rubbed my forehead with a smile showing my neat teeth to my friends who were still confused.
"You why Ari?" ask Ami.
"Yes, why are you? Are you sick that you look like you're smiling like that?" asked Angga who scratched his head, it seems like he was also confused to see my change like this.
I took a deep breath, pulling back the feeling of happiness that was actually flowing from the air into my lungs.
I looked at my friends one by one while smiling happily as if they were very curious about the answer I would give. I can't wait to tell my friends this and they'll be so happy to hear it.
"I'll tell you all but before that you have to guess first, how?" my bargaining with them made them look at each other and move their heads a little and then not a long time ago they looked back at me.
"Why should you guess? Just say!" said Angga who now re-composes the sandals who intend to continue his game, throw slippers game.
"Ah that's not exciting either if you don't guess," I replied.
"Yes, well we'll guess," said Ami made me turn to look at Ami with a happy smile.
Ami put her index finger on her chin, tapped it with a thoughtful face while I looked at her with a very curious look, impatient to hear the reply from Ami.
"Did you get a new shirt?" guess Ami while pointing at me.
"New clothes? Father and Mama Ari do not have much money, how can he buy new clothes," said Angga who is still busy composing sandals.
"Well, really," said Ami and thought again.
"Let's guess again!"
"Prophe Ari! I was trying to guess it," said Ami who was a little upset.
"You're also Ririn and Cai, you both have to guess!"
Both of my friends thought.
"You ate chicken today?" guess Cai.
"No."
"You're having a birthday today?" guess Ririn while smiling happily as if her guess was correct.
"Wrong."
"You got a share box rice from hajj asbar sir?" guess Ami.
I shook my head as I closed my eyes refusing the answers of my friends.
"Wrong, the guess is so wrong. Now guess again!"
The faces of my friends have now turned a little very upset. There was no guess I said right.
"Hey, Ari quickly answer or not I will hit your head with this slipper!" threaten Angga who looks so very upset while pointing his black sandal at me.
I chuckled and said, "Well, now I'm going to tell you about something so happy."
"Yes say it fast!" angga.
I looked at my friends one by one with such a very happy gaze and moved my two lips that would soon tell me the answer.
"I'm going to school this year" I said, making my friends smile happily.
"really?" ask them compactly.
"Yes, I'm going to school this year. I'll go to school like all of you."
"Emak would have said that Ari will go to school next year and now next year it is this year."
"And that means Ari will go to school with all of you."
"Well, that's very good," said Ami happily.
"If you're going to school this year means we'll both go to school" Angga said.
"really?" I asked with a very happy face.
"True and I'll take you to see my friends if you go to school."
"We're going to play together and I'm going to get you to play ball, there's a good ball in school I play it a lot" Angga said, embracing my shoulder.
"Ah, don't listen to Angga!"
"Feet just invite you to play continue better we go in the library to read many books," continued Cai.
"What Cai said. I'm going to show you a book of deer and crocodiles, it's a very exciting story in the library" Ririn said.
"And I will treat you to a bakwan made by Aunt Mia" said Ami.
"Well right, I want a bakwan, too. You want to buy me a bud made by Aunt Mia?" said Angga while raising his eyebrows.
"That's delicious. I'm not gonna buy you, it's just special for Ari because Ari's going to school."
I laughed happily at my friends' answers and I can't wait for that day, the school registration day and Ari going to school with friends.
Moreover, with the speech of friends who increasingly make me impatient for school.
