Mom, I Want School

Mom, I Want School
8. WOO

...✏️✏️✏️...

I sighed in a long sitting and sat on a plastic chair until my eyes moved to stare at the wall centered on a clock that had shown 08:00 there was still plenty of time to register.

Ari just wanted to sign up.

Now Ari just decided to be quiet, in her seat with a hope that she went to enroll in elementary school.

Maybe this is a small request, a small dream that might be realized but, will the figure of an Ari gang does not seem to have a support for school.

"Dad!" the scream of her mother made Ari smile happily.

"Yes, Mak," said Ari with a happy face.

He without thinking long immediately ran into the house, maybe his mother had changed her mind and had an intention to invite him to enroll in school, he said, true or not but now Ari hopes it will be like that.

"What's up, mama?" asked Ari who had held back her happiness that was ready to explode in this second as well.

Without looking at her mother who was lifting the big pot said, "Help mom lift this pot! I want to cook up some water for us to drink tonight."

Ari's smile disappeared at that moment. Ari thinks that her mother called her to ask her to sign up but it turns out that her mother only needs her help, a small favor.

Accompanied by a sullen face Ari approached the mother helping to lift the pot filled with water onto a pile of stones that had been arranged to resemble a stove.

Here there are no gas cylinders, just rely on a fire and firewood said mother did not have much money to buy a tube or stove plus the more days the price of buying gas cylinders

Ari lifted the pot with difficulty and after that Ari was silent both eyes returned focus to look at the mother who seemed to care less about her after Ari helped her to lift the pot to the top of the cooking place as if I don't care about him anymore. He never asked why Ari kept silent nearby he was still busy pushing the wood to keep the fire burning.

However, it seems like this is not the end, Ari must be excited! Ari should not despair just maybe after cooking the water her mother will enroll her to school.

Ari approached the mother with a thin smile typical of children.

"Registration will be closed at 12:00 Ari wait outside huh!" said Ari who then stepped although honestly Ari's steps so doubtful he was not sure of his own words.

Ari stepped back to sit in the living room exactly where it was on a plastic chair that slightly peeled off to arrange the surface of the wall clock that continues to move shows the time.

A few seconds later his eyes blinked he remembered something if he wanted something then he had to do a favor or win the heart of the mother so that her mother would allow him to enroll in school.

Ari got up, ran small and grabbed a pile of washed and dried cloth. It lays on the carpet, folding it as well as it can and should.

Ari never folded her clothes and her mother always did but this time today wanted to win her heart today so that her mother agreed if she enrolled in school.

Ari occasionally hums enjoying every crease movement he does on the clothes he folds.

"If the school later Ari will buy a good bag. Ari will also wear school uniform like other friends like Angga, Ririn, Cai and Ami."

"Ari will also play with them to go to school together and also go home together."

"If Ari school Ari will definitely be happy and meet many friends to make new friends and get pocket money from mother."

"Ari can't wait to come in and sit on the bench and not get hot like this."

"Ari will promise that Ari will come to school later Ari will come the fastest and go home the latest. Ari's gonna do PR and sweep the class."

"Ari wants it that way. Ari also wants if after school later Ari become rich like the Chinese, the Chinese who have a store, he is smart to count money means he ever school and school can get money.

"If Ari the main school Ari wants to go to school," said Ari while folding until not long after both eyebrows frowned.

He stared quickly at the door where his mother was standing.

"Emak" whispered Ari who was barely heard.

His mother is seen sipping salivia, silently staring at the child and after he stepped back into the kitchen leaving the figure of Ari who is now hanging on his seat with his hands still folding clothes.

Ari is now silent thinking about one thing whether her mother heard her words, yes it is possible.

Ari quickly approached the mother who seemed to reach for the small cloth used to wash dishes staring strangely at the child who looked smiling as usual.

"Today let Ari wash the dishes, yes, mak," said Ari made the woman in front of him more confused.

"Do you want to do the dishes?"

"Yes today Ari was washing dishes. Mother just cook let Ari ya wash the dishes," said Ari who immediately sat on a small bench and began to do the action.

He rubbed his plates, glasses and utensils with a happy smile and signaled that what he was doing now was a pleasant thing.

His mother was confused, Ari's figure was completely different from the usual, it seemed like Ari wanted something. her mother stepped out staring at the chair that was already uninhabited by the pile of clothes that she had sunbaked with curiosity her mother stepped into the room, open the old closet in which there are clothes that have been folded by Ari.

His son seemed to change, and at once his little man wanted something to the point that he was slowly seducing him into wanting the one thing that all the children wanted, the school of small things was desirable of a 7-year-old boy but it must be how now whether he should register his son but a harsh reality must be faithfully seen clearly in plain sight.

After a few minutes he sat in silence he finally decided to step out. Just as he opened the door he found the figure of his son sweeping the floor of the house.

"Dad!"

Ari who was sweeping it turned her head, she smiled so cheerfully.

"Ari is sweeping. Ari look at the floor a little koto, R Ari will sweep, Mak," said Ari spirit.

His mother smiled then took a deep breath and stepped back.

"Where?" ask Ari.

"Emak wants to get water."

"Let Ari get you the water to take a bath, right?"

His mother nodded making Ari talk again, "Let Ari take it."

Ari then puts a broom on the wall and steps out of the house a second later Ari reappears at the entrance.

"Mak after Ari takes the water in the river we'll go enroll in school, right? If you want to apply for school wait for Ari! Ari took the water first."

That's what Ari said who then stepped away leaving the figure of his mother who was now silent staring at the door area.
