Mom, I Want School

Mom, I Want School
24. NEW BROTHER

...✏️✏️✏️...

the sound of noise was heard accompanied by the sound of accelerated steps and the occasional touch of loud noise from things that sounded shifted made me try to deflect my sleeping position.

I tried to ignore the noise that came out of nowhere but, the more I tried not to hear it, the louder the sound was clearly heard in my sense of hearing. I don't understand and also don't know why the voice was so very clear. Both my eyes are open. I blinked a few times both of my eyes as the sunlight dazzled the eyes.

"How many opening?"

"The baby's out."

"Let's just! How much is his blood pressure?"

"We'll just pick it up and we'll take it to the nearest hospital! Now!"

That word is heard. The word hospital managed to get me out of my bed. I don't know who's sick in this house so there are words like that thrown out and out of who. That voice I had never heard before.

I ran small, ignoring the dirt in my eyes and the traces of sleep marks near my lips. I ran out of the room to find many people in the house. I could not count the number of people who were busy in my house, especially the figure of a mother lying on the carpet and a middle-aged old woman who was under both feet which is left to straddle.

I could also see the naked little baby that was being held by the old woman. I stepped closer to the smiling mother looking at me for a moment then she stroked my cheek with a face and a full stare.

"The baby is exactly like Ari's face" the old woman said, laughing grimly.

I looked down at the little baby who was not crying and I could see the long rope similar to the intestine was still connected from the center of the baby to the bottom of my mother. Not only that. I also could not see it clearly because it was covered and blocked by a long glove that covered up to the knee.

"Surge! Move aside! Don't get too close!"

I stepped back as some of the women in the uniform of the rescue team in red appeared to inject my mother on the wrist and not long after they lifted my mother's body and put it on a place that I don't understand what his name is either.

One of them seemed to reach for the scissors in an iron container and cut something similar to the intestine that is now also known as the umbilical cord.

"Dad! Cieeee Ari has a new sister, "a stranger to my eyes.

Yes, it turns out that I just realized that the woman standing on the lip of the door was Cai's older sister. That woman who always helped her mother make bricks. He's Nur's brother, I just remembered him.

I scratched my head not understanding what Nur's sister said. New sister! Does that mean my mom just gave birth and that little baby who doesn't wear clothes is my sister?

And now I just realized that all this time it turns out my mother is pregnant. The big mother's body was not because she ate too much last year but it turned out that she was pregnant and I didn't realize it.

A few minutes later the mother was carried out of the house on a black stretcher to a large street area where there was already a white car that I heard the name was ambulance. I can't read the letters in front of that car, there are only a few that I understand, namely the letter A taught by Angga yesterday and I had to repeat the lesson at night.

Not only were the rescue teams there but there were so many people who were near the ambulance. They were seen talking to each other, whispering while looking back at my house and also me who was the center of attention.

I don't understand what they're saying and what they think of me. I just kept quiet while occasionally looking at the mother who was put in the car. They look enthusiastic.

I don't know why those who never looked at their mother now turn to look at their mother.

"Where is her mother?"

The voice of the question was successfully ejected from the woman in the car that made my father quickly run. He was about to get into the car but, his steps came to a halt as I grabbed his wrist.

I don't want my mom and dad to leave me here alone. I have no other relatives or relatives who can accompany me. Father actually has a brother who is not far from around this place but his existence for me has no influence. He seemed to not care about the family of the father then if the father left then it means Ari only alone here.

"Ari wants to come, sir," I said with hope but one of the medics was angry with me.

He got angry and said I shouldn't come because it's not a game. I would love to say that I don't want to play but I just want to be with my mom and dad.

I gasped in shock at folding my lips inwardly trying not to cry.

"Dad! Ari is just like aunty."

I looked up at a woman I had seen but I didn't know when I'd seen her.

"Ari is just aunty. Mom, Ari will be taken to the hospital for treatment."

Not long after the sound of the car was heard wheezing, reflecting a sound quite loud coupled with a red light that was on top of the car was heard and looked lit, spinning as if this was an emergency.

Is my mother that critical to be given such a warning. The car drove away leaving me who was now silent. Some people looked back at me while whispering. The ambulance was gone but not for them.

They seemed to whisper more, there were even some who had just arrived and seemed a little upset because they did not see the incident where the mother was put in the ambulance.

I let out a long sigh and turned to look at Ami who was apparently behind me.

"Are we going to play today?"

"Then you give birth today, when you want to play. You should've sent a prayer to your mother to keep her safe."

The sentence was thrown from Ami's lips and then he stepped away leaving me with an expression that did not understand. I don't understand what is being said critically.

Is my mother critical? I looked back to see where the car was going.

"Dad! Come with aunt to aunt's house. Aunty wants to go to the market, if you want to join auntie let's close your door and come with auntie!"

I nodded then ran towards the house and closed the door, grabbed the slippers I was resting on the side of the house and put them on and ran to the woman.

I clasped his wrist and followed where the woman had gone to take me.
