Brian grimaced softly as Zareena touched the wound on his face. Damn right Tristan who hit himself in the middle of entangling pleasure. At least the man waited until he and Zareena finished putting their lips together. Now, Brian can no longer repeat the moment as before. Surely Zareena will hit him if he asks again.
"Hold a little. Bruising like this is nothing." Zareena pressed the cotton back on the bruise on Brian's lips.
"He hit me hard." Brian again grimaced in pain as the little cotton touched his face.
"Why are you serving him?"
"He hit me, and I have to pay him back. I don't want to lose" grumbled Brian. "Eyes must be paid for by the eyes. Teeth must be paid for. That's the saying I hear so often."
Zareena put her hand away. Clean the medicine box, then throw the used cotton in a plastic bag. "I'm done. We better get home soon."
"We haven't eaten anything yet. Hungry stomach. Can I eat at your place tonight?"
Zareena looked at Brian. It's like a kitten asking for a meal. Brian's face seemed to be clear so that Zareena could allow it.
"Alright, but only potluck."
Brian nodded quickly. "Originally with you, eat whatever I want."
Again Brian said a word of mutter. Brian is funny, but he's not the kind of guy that Zareena likes. Brian is better suited to be a friend than a lover.
Arriving at Smith's residence, Zareena and Brian went straight upstairs. For the second time Brian visited this room. If Zareena allows it, she wants to sleep here.
"You sit down, I'll prepare a meal." Zareena walked straight into her simple kitchen. Wash your hands first, wear an apron, and then start processing food.
Although the room was small, but Mr. Smith provided complete equipment. There is a mini refrigerator and a roasting oven. Zareena can warm frozen food inside, as it is today.
"So, he's that guy?"
"He's here. That means, he did come for you."
"I don't know how he got here. I'm not calling my family anymore and I've changed my phone number too."
Brian said, "I think he's looking for you, Zaree. How now? It didn't take long for Tristan to get here."
"I never ran away from him, Brian.
"You're running away, Zaree. If you keep dodging, then he keeps chasing you."
"You mean, I have to deal with it?"
Brian nodded. "so. Just ask her what she wants."
"Here you go, now we eat. Don't talk about Tristan anymore."
Zareena took out the paste from the oven she had warmed. Plus chopped meat, then that's enough for their menu tonight.
After dinner, Brian went straight home. Only Zareena herself cleaned the food container that had been used.
He remembered Brian's words. Tristan is already here, meaning tomorrow, the pris could be at his doorstep.
"What does he actually want, anyway? He said he had the same feelings as me?" Zareena shook her head. "Tristan must have wanted revenge because I managed to destroy Lily's memories back then. He couldn't have suddenly liked me."
If Tristan meets him again, Zareena will face him. Ask what the intention of the man really is. Zareena won't be stuck over Tristan's charms a second time. It won't!
