Just this time Tristan felt afraid to meet both of Zareena's parents. From home, he had already gathered courage, but arriving at the Calmington residence, it felt like the courage had simply vanished.
His determination was shrill, but that night, he was so brave to express his relationship with Zareena. Now, the turn to apologize, Tristan instead wants time to repeat itself yesterday. Turn around on the day of the engagement. Really if that happens, Tristan will not act recklessly.
He just regretted that he should not have done that. Indeed what is done if not considered, then the impact will be regretted in the future.
Tristan took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly. He convinced himself that whatever Zareena's parents would say, he accepted. The guilt continued to haunt, and her longing for Zareena herself was so intense in her heart.
Tristan got out of the car. Steady steps facing the gatekeeper, telling the intention of his arrival today. Usually Tristan would just go in, but this time, he wanted Henry and Mary to accept him to talk.
"You were told to go home. They don't want to see you" the guard said as he received a reply from the hostess by phone.
"Let me just come in. This is important" urged Tristan. He doesn't want to delay again until tomorrow. Zareena could not be reached, and Tristan did not know how the woman was doing.
The head guard jutted out from behind his post window. "You're allowed in, sir." The guard then presses a button to get the fence open.
"Thank you." The words accompanied by a smile.
Tristan's steps were heavy. Zareena's house felt far away in her vision. He wanted to go home, but he had already arrived at the park.
As Tristan's arrival is known, the maid welcomes him. Let her go in and sit down, while waiting for the host to meet her.
Tristan wakes up from the couch to see Henry and Mary. Mary's sour face signified how much she hated her. Tristan hopes to be understood because he has two families to be ashamed of.
"You're brave enough to come after what you did to us." Mary opened her voice.
"I admit it was my fault. Zareena didn't say anything. If I knew he was being betrothed, then I wouldn't let him accept Chris" Tristan said.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for this."
"You think you can bring it all back? The guests present were making fun of us at the moment. My family's reputation has been destroyed and it's all because of you!" Mary vented all her strangeness for Tristan's actions.
"I'll make an apology in the media if it makes you satisfied. I'm really sorry about this." Tristan said it sincerely, and from his tone of voice, he was so sorry.
"No need, Tristan." Henry interrupted.
Mary glared at her husband's words. Should have let Tristan do that to save the family's reputation.
"You don't have to do anything. I'm just asking you to stay away from our family. That's it," Henry said.
"That's impossible." Tristan refused quickly, then said, "I'm aware of my feelings. I love Zareena. Please, let me see him."
Henry shakes. "Free, Tristan."
"Please Mr. Henry Calmington."
Henry sigh. "I don't know where Zareena is. He has been gone since yesterday and has not been home. My daughter didn't call, nor did she tell me where she lives now. The apartment was empty, and he didn't bring his car."
"It's all because of you, Tristan! Now, I'm asking you to bring my daughter back" Mary said.
