After lunch, Chris takes Zareena to the mall. There was still time until he had to go back to the hospital. Coincidentally Zareena wants to go to the shopping center, buy souvenir equipment that is felt to be lacking.
"I want to give a gift to my best friend. As a memento of our special day." Zareena said enthusiastically.
"How about a journal?"
Advice from Chris who made Zareena's forehead wrinkled. "Journal?"
Chris nodded. "Yes, journals can be taken anywhere and they can write stories or important things there. It's cheap stuff, anyway. But, if we give something, then it should be useful, right?"
Zareena hugged Chris. "For this I agree with you."
"We're looking for a vintage model. It'll be unique."
Zareena nodded. "You're right."
No one is perfect, including Chris. There are advantages and disadvantages of this man. Chris may be very boring, but the young man is so smart.
"How many of your best friends are there?" ask Chris.
"My soulmate is only Colin, but I invited about five close friends. Then, you?"
"Only two people are closest. This engagement's closed, right? I'm just inviting in a little."
"So, I'll buy eight journals." Zareena showed me the dark chocolate color journal. "This is good, right? Not too big and small."
Chris nodded. "Yes, we'll take that one."
Eight journals were purchased. When Zareena wanted to have Chris accompany her to the dress shop, the man had no time. Chris has to go back to the hospital.
"I'll take you home first."
"But I still want to shop." Mumpung already in the mall, Zareena wants to shop whatever items she needs. "I can go home alone, you go back to the hospital."
"But I don't feel comfortable leaving you."
"It's okay, Chris. You just work."
"The groceries in my hand, I'd better take them. How's it?"
"Let me bring it. I'd be upset if I couldn't unpack this at home" Zareena said, taking over Chris' bag.
Zareena nodded. "Yes, I won't be long."
Chris landed a kiss on the forehead before parting ways. Then, walk away. Zareena went straight to the clothing store.
Zareena's choice fell on a vintage-patterned mini dress. He remembers having black boots and a beret hat. Zareena wants to wear all that in the coming fall.
"You should look for a dress not a dress for a walk."
Zareena looked back. "You followed me, Tris."
"Yes, enough to see you hug the man."
"You don't have a job."
"I have a job."
"stalked. You have a new job now." Zareena steps away, but Tristan follows her.
"You sure you want to marry that guy?"
"Why not?"
"You love her?" Tristan grabbed Zareena's arm. "My jawab. You love her?"
"What answer will satisfy you? What do you want, Tristan? Why are you bothering me?"
"I don't bother, but I don't accept being played. You just walked in on my life, and then you left. You tortured me. You're a traitor."
Zareena laughed bitterly. "Traitorous? Are you stupid or what?"
"You're playing me, and I'm going to avenge this pain."
"Whatever you want to do. But think that we've had no relationship all this time." Zareena looked at Tristan. He was ready to take the challenge from the man.
Tristan nodded. "Well, you wait for the play date."
