Harvests

A few days passed and the couple's relationship was still so. Every day do that - it is but just like a necessity and do it because it is indeed a necessity.

The harvest time has arrived and some of Lukman's rice fields have also begun to be executed according to the supervision of Lukman's team and with his approval. He was only in charge of overseeing the process of harvesting rice for this stage, which according to his eyes the results were quite satisfactory.

Before harvesting must first check the age of rice whether it is ready for harvest or not.

Errors in harvesting rice can result in loss of high yield and low yield quality. At this stage, yield loss can reach 9.52% if the rice harvester is wrong.

Harvesting rice can usually be done after the rice plants are 30-35 days after flowering evenly and 90-95% of grain from the panicle already appears yellowing or around the age of 3.5 to 6 months.

So far Lukman still uses the traditional harvesting system although his men have proposed to do harvesting through modern techniques to save costs and save time but the owner insists on using the old method.

According to him, harvesting traditionally requires more human power especially for the size of the rice fields that are hectares wide and it has a good impact to help the people who live in the rice fields of his own and a small part of his property his family.

The farmers usually use a sickle to cut the yellowed rice tree by grasping a clump of rice stalks and then cutting it right on the bottom trunk. It must be done carefully because one of the fingers themselves can be severed.

As for after the rice stalk is picked and collected and then to separate the rice grain from the stem is with a hammer like wood, so that there is no rice grains left in the stalk then the next process is manually grinded with feet.

After that, humans began to find a more efficient way to separate rice grains from the stalk, using gebyok boards made of wood by throwing rice stalks on wooden boards that are often called with the term rice gepyok and this technique requires full strength and is usually done by male farm workers.

The technique for threshing rice after that is with the technique of erek. This rice thresher is done in pieces quite easily and speed up the process of rice threshing. But in the design of the tool, gross uses simple technology that is by utilizing a pivot wheel or ontel system so that threshers must continue to pedal the ontelan on the right and bottom left of this rice thresher.

Erek who was originally a manual, slowly became an Erek Machine even though it was not so sophisticated. So that its function is not so regular to help farmers during harvest.

And now there is a rice thresher machine like the one used by Lukman today.

After all the rice is finished being dropped and cleaned from the leaves of the rice that fall out along with other impurities. The last step is to dry the rice until it is dry and the rice is ready to be milled or stored.

Fortunately Lukman uses one of the most famous methods of organic rice cultivation, the System of Rice Intensification (SRI).

The method of cultivation of SRI itself began to be favored by farmers because it was able to increase the productivity of rice crops by twofold.

The SRI system itself supports the system of organic farming practices and promotes ecosystem balance.

The SRI method is also called the organic rice growing method because all stages do not use chemicals that are harmful to humans and the environment. This SRI method can be applied in various rice varieties.

Every 200 square meters of land usually produced 2 quintals of wet grain or if it has been dried and ground into rice, will be able to produce 90 kg of rice.

Organic rice can be sold directly when it becomes dry grain or milled first until it becomes consumption rice.

In addition to increasing the productivity of crops, the land around the rice fields is also not damaged and more loose because it is not exposed to harmful chemicals.

Although Lukman in some ways looks like the appearance of the first but he principled planting anything should use organic systems so as not to disturb the ecosystem and the balance of nature.

When before the break Lukman looked at Daniah who looked not much behavior as usual. His heart was tingled wanting to tease the girl. Lukman wants to know how the wife will react if she says she has another wife.

"Dad, you're not done yet?" Ask Daniah who still looks serious in front of the computer.

"See soon sir" replied Daniah firmly.

"No ma'am I want to take Danya out to eat while looking at the conditions in the vegetable garden" he said.

"Just the two of you?" Ask Bu Khotimah who made Lukman aware and if he was wrong.

"July can you come, right?" Yuli appeared from behind with a more reserved and polite makeup.

"Yes, you guys just ride a bonfire bike, I ride my own motorbike"

"We're not in the car?" Ask Yuli again.

"Not just ride a bike!" Answer Lukman.

"Then I'm the same bell" replied Yuli.

"If you want to come with Danya. Why haven't you left at this hour ?" Lukman's tone looks intimidating now.

"That's why I had a stomachache" replied Yuli stammering.

"Let's go, we're leaving now!" Lukman said he did not want to be denied. He walked out of the room while putting his hand in his pants pocket.

In a hurry Daniah tidied up her books and laptops and then put them in a closet where important files were located. He locked the closet and then he locked the room that is often used in meetings also received the guest from outside and rushed after Lukman.

At the dinner, Lukman ordered food for the three of them without asking the two girls he was carrying. The man with two children noticed the two girls in front of him who were like enemies and tried to get attention from him.

Lukman propped up his chin with both hands tied underneath.

"His, do you like me?" Lukman's question suddenly made Daniah immediately surprised to hear the unusual question. He was confused as to what to answer. If he answered yes it would lower his self-esteem below that of his rivals. But if he answers no, it means he is lying and lying to himself.

"I, I love you..." Yuli said while holding her hand.

"Why do you like me?" Just ask the point.

"It's pretty, it's rich" he said honestly and straightforwardly.

"I've said many times, don't call me. Just call brother!" Lukman said as he stared intently at Yuli. Lukman then looked at Dania who immediately tucked her hair in her ears.

The process of planting rice is long and complicated so do not waste it even if only a grain of rice. Do not forget to be grateful for the food in front of us whatever the shape. If you like to be eaten if you don't like it don't taste it because plants also try to grow to be human food. These are the messages from mamak rempong please do not take the heart of yes pemirsah!
