Ode To Latitude
The Wedding of the Mayor's Daughter

Arimbi shed her tears. He did not know the caller across, but one word was enough to make him sure it was the voice of his grandson.

Arimbi. Regata always tried to hide Mia but today God answered prayer.

“Mia this is you son, grandson of oma?” ask Arimbi.

“This is mama mama right, who is in hp mama?” mia asked who sounded confused.

“Iya darling, this is oma, mama”

“Oma already yes” said Mia immediately turned off her phone and pocketed Bi Nina's phone.

“Mia, Mia” call Arimbi even though the call has ended.

"What's the mah?" ask Danu Atmaja her husband.

Arimbi just shook his head. Danu looked at his wife's eyes but refused to ask further. Danu secretly knows that Arimbi is still contacting his only princess who since eight years ago has never contacted him again.

Danu asks his wife to get ready soon, the brand will attend the wedding of Mr. Mayor's son tonight. As a member of the House of Representatives Danu is obliged to keep his name clean. Danu keeps his family's disgrace tight and does not hesitate to punish people who dare to spread the disgrace of his family.

Arimbi actually does not want to participate in events like this which he thinks makes little sense. Every time they arrive at the wedding venue or the place of thanksgiving of the elite all mothers show off their husbands' wealth and compete to tell their husbands' achievements.

"Mom Arimbi, hay! long time no see" said Bu Cornelia the wife of the chairman of the X faction who is of Dutch descent Jakarta.

Arimbi smiled wryly in response to Bu Cornelia's greeting. Bu Cornelia hugged Arimbi as if they were very familiar. Arimbi who can not do anything can only resign.

"Work outside the city of Ma'am" said Arimbi began to be uncomfortable.

Other mothers began to lurk in the conversation. Some of them are quite surprised because it turns out that the quiet Arimbi Sukoco has the daughter of a best written doctor at the University of Indonesia.

Arimbi was overwhelmed to answer various questions from the group of socialite mothers. Arimbi chose to dodge and subtly refuse when one of them intended to match his daughter with their son.

Danu, who was busy chatting with his colleagues, looked at his wife who was getting uncomfortable in the atmosphere of this party. At first glance he saw the sad face of Arimbi who repeatedly checked his phone.

Arimbi's behavior today is quite strange. Arimbi is not usually busy with his phone. Danu knows very well Arimbi is among the tech stutterers. In this modern era Arimbi can only use his latest iPhone to call or just send chat and SMS. At a time when all the mothers in the association have social media accounts Arimbi actually refused when Danu offered that his management who manages the account Arimbi.

"What is pa for? after every activity I was with the mothers of other members of the House of Representatives" declined Arimbi at that time.

Danu gives up persuading Arimbi. One of his colleagues once joked that if Danu posted photos of other women on his social media page Arimbi would definitely not know.

"Let's go home" asked Danu to distract Arimbi from his phone.

"The way is not finished pa" said Arimbi.

"Yuk, go home if the phone here is noisy" said Danu again.

Arimbi complied as Danu took his hand to the wedding and said goodbye to his bride, mayor and son-in-law.
