FIRST OBSTACLE

When Luffy and Ken reach the port to sail, they are horrified to see Garp standing and there is a naval ship nearby. GARP doesn't look like he's on official duty because he's wearing a beach shirt. Looks like he's coming for a vacation.

But now he was standing on the road between the port and their ship. Ken had spent quite a bit of money on their new ship. It wasn't as big as the Going Merry but had three rooms with decent beds, one small fridge and one very large refrigerator specially made by Ken to fight Luffy's stomach. The night before Ken had filled it to the brim with meat.

In recent months Ken dedicated himself to learning about sailing and navigation. There must be no point in the Grand Line, but until they get Nami, they have to wait. And Ken doesn't want to be like Zoro at sea. He wanted to map out the exact direction and even bring along a detailed map of East Blue.

Ken even made a pirate flag for their ship and currently the flag flies high on a single masted ship that they made specially and ready to sail. Actually it's supposed to be a fun day, but this is Garp being the party wrecker.

Luffy looked trembling as he saw GARP standing up. All their lives, they've heard about how Garp would make them marines. Ace's gone so in vain. And now Garp is coming to make sure that doesn't happen again.

"Damn!! Why is Grandpa here?" Ken also has an ugly face looking at this. Even Makino, who came out to say goodbye did not have a good face.

"Grandfather, why are you here?"

"I should be here on vacation. But it seems I was lucky enough to be on the day when you idiots would set sail. Now I can get you both to be marines. Ken, among my three grandchildren, you are the most intelligent and logical, how did you end up making this person your captain? I've never heard you say that you want to be a pirate."

It seems he has heard from the locals that the two brothers are leaving and Ken is about to join Luffy's crew.

"Grandfather, we both know that a logical and fair man will not join the marines and I never talk about being a pirate because I'm not the breed (idiot) Luffy that lets you hit me." Ken said because he knew that there was no turning back now. He had to fight it out and the thought itself was terrifying as there was almost no chance for them to win. Ken's power won't be enough to hurt Garp.

And if Garp gets serious then it'll be over. The original Haki Armament would be easier to defend because Ken's body was inherently strong, but if it was internal destruction then Ken didn't know whether his body would be able to withstand that power or not.

And that doesn't include the fact that Garp must have the Conqueror's Haki. A Marine who could fight end to end against Roger would definitely have a Conqueror Haki. Although grandfather looked rather old and he might not be in his prime, but someone who asked Sengoku to stop him from killing Akainu during the Marineford War would definitely not joke around in those cruel moments.

"I'm disappointed in you two. But it's okay because I'm here and I'm taking you to join the marines.. Hehe.." GARP looked happy as if it had been taken that he would easily take the two.

Mind you, this Luffy is not the same Luffy who is all naive and new to the world. He was already living a life and although he had never shown it outwardly, he was mature enough to see how this world was. He was happy and grateful that his own brother had decided to support him in his quest to become the Pirate King and he knew that he had to take a stand.

"We will fight and when there is a chance we will escape with our ship. Ken, can I use all my practice now?" ask Luffy. Ken smiled as he was glad Luffy didn't back down looking at his grandfather.

"The sea is vast and from now on we can use all our strength." Ken said of Luffy's relief because the brothers were very secretive about their ninjutsu. From now on they will not hide their strength. Meanwhile, black clouds began to form above the Windmill Village. Ken slowly took out a Stormbreaker that hung magically on his back. And also Mjolnir hanging on his waist.

And Luffy?? Well Luffy did even stranger things that surprised GARP and even the surrounding residents. The locals have known the brothers for a long time and all of them support Luffy and his brothers. So when Garp comes and his secret is revealed, they bow their heads in shame. But what Luffy did was a big surprise for them.

Luffy bit his thumb with his teeth which caused the blood to come out a little and then Luffy made a hand gesture

"Call Jutsu!!!"
