♫ Oh, angels sent from above
You know you make my world light up
When I fall, when I get hurt
You came to lift me♫
Ken sang a famous song from Coldplay as he walked the streets of Logue Town. The city lives to say the least. The shops, people, and jovial nature around him did not even have a single indication that one of the greatest pirates of their time had been executed here.
There are so many things that are still a mystery about Roger and Ken is determined to reveal the truth. Reveal all the mysteries of the world and if possible overthrow the tyranny that runs rampant here.
He had all these thoughts when he heard someone speaking loudly
"Give us protection money or you'll know what's going to happen to you."
"I paid money for that month. I don't have any more money to pay."
"It's just for the boss, you have to pay money for us, who protect the people here."
"Please, I have a family to support. Please understand that we really don't have much."
From the conversation it was very clear that these 'gangsters' were trying to take the hard-earned money from the shops around. Normally, Ken would not care about seeing 'gangsters' but one face between them made Ken feel like he had seen before somewhere. He just doesn't remember where.
The gangster had long, wavy blonde hair tied with a blue ribbon running across his forehead. He had tattoos all over his hands and looked like an ordinary delinquent.
"Master, can you give me some apples." Ken didn't want to barge in right in the middle but he wanted to see how these people would react if he interacted with the shopkeeper regardless of them. The gangsters and shopkeepers were surprised to see this random tall man coming and asked to buy the fruit the shopkeeper was selling.
Did he not see the people around? Didn't he see who this gangster was? Even those around him who were close to turning a blind eye to the situation were shocked by the courage of this young man.
"Uh.. Sure do.. One apple equals 10 bellies." The shopkeeper did not know what to do and could only speak like a good shopkeeper opening a shop.
"10 bellies per apple. Too expensive.." Before Ken could bid, a hand was placed on his shoulder. It was a delinquent that harassed the shopkeeper.
"Don't you see us talking heart to heart with the people here. Why don't you come later?"
Ken slowly raised his head and looked at the person.
"Who is Bartolomeo to you?"
Ken didn't even bother to stop this guy and let his knuckles hit his face. The others around almost turned a blind eye because they thought others would be taught a lesson. The shopkeeper shouted softly while thinking that Ken was done.
But the next moment, it was the man who punched and shouted. The scream came with the sound of broken bones. The criminal had broken a few bones when he hit Ken. He fell to his knees and held his hand while panting. He couldn't understand what had just happened. A simple blow to this man's face had broken his hand bone.
Who is this guy?
"I asked about Bartolomeo and you punched me. I have to say, you are the dumbest person I've ever seen in my life."
"Silent. Friends catch him." The delinquent screamed and the other gangsters whose eyes were wide open about what had just happened came to earth after the blue band man shouted. These gangsters did not retreat just because one of them was injured. They want revenge.
So they all jumped at Ken together. Ken was impressed with this. These people must be future crew members of Bartolomeo and they are loyal. They don't back off even if Ken seems stronger.
Ken was impressed so much that he held back while taking down these gangsters. He punched, kicked, elbowed the gangsters and dropped them with just one move on each of them. The spectators looked at the floor.
These gangsters had never been treated like this before. And this came from one person who looked very young. He's a hero!
"What's your name?"
"Gambia." His voice shook as he answered. He had thought this was a random man but did not expect him to become a hidden master. This guy dropped his friends like it was nothing.
"Take it and go. Tell Bartolomeo to come here" said Ken. Gambia gritted their teeth. This person definitely knew his boss otherwise he would not target them but he did not know who he was.
He could only bring his friends and go look for his boss. His boss was extremely strong and only he could take revenge for them.
Ken did not care about the thought and just looked at the people around who were terrified almost emptying the place. Bartolomeo is famous here and they don't want anything to do with him or the gang members known as the Barto's Club.
"Naa Sir.. Please lower the price."
The shopkeeper did not do what this person wanted, but he did not dare to be rude.
"I can sell this for just under 5 stomachs. I really need money to help my daughter" said the shopkeeper. He was terrified but he could not continue to lower the price. His family needs him and his daughter is sick. Ken could feel the sadness in his voice and he was sure the shopkeeper was not lying.
Without a second thought he took out a pile of money and gave it to the shopkeeper.
"Here, take the money and take care of your family. Close shop. It's probably gonna fall apart here right now."
