Patience in Wounds (Stupidity)
18. Rara's Artificial Soup

°°°

Rara took each one of her bowls of fish soup, for grandfather and Revan.

"You make fish soup, son?" ask the grandfather who saw the fruitful food presented in front of him.

Rara nodded in response.

While Revan did not comment much because he was not a picky person on food, he would eat whatever was served in front of him as long as it was delicious in his mouth.

Now when his Rara pounded Like earlier, waiting for the reaction of grandfather who began to put a spoonful of fish soup into his mouth.

Long enough grandfather chewed and felt the soup in his mouth so that made Rara was worried.

"Grandfather why are you crying?" Rara panicked that she saw grandfather shed tears after swallowing his homemade soup.

While Revan was silent because he could already guess what his grandfather's reaction was when he tasted his wife's cooking. He felt the same way his grandfather felt.

"Sister, what's wrong with grandpa." Rara asked her husband who seemed indifferent to seeing his grandfather cry.

"Let it go, that's how the old man is." Laughing at his own grandfather.

Tuk

"Basar tengil granddaughter. Don't know grandpa's being moved, you're ruining the mood."

Grandpa smacked his wooden stick on Revan's arm.

"Sickness Cake." Revan was in pain while rubbing his arm.

While Rara gawked to see the grandfather and grandson act out.

"It's okay, son, do you know that this time Grandpa tasted the exact same cuisine that my daughter made. That's why I'm moved and because of the longing that's been buried for so long, just sticking out when grandpa tasted your cooking."

Rara was also moved to hear the words of grandfather, not much different from the reaction of bi Mur earlier. It seems that the figure of her late mother-in-law is very impressive in the hearts of the family and people who know her.

"All right, parents are like that. A little moved, a little bit crying, so no need to worry about grandpa."

Revan's words again get Grandpa Tio's tantrums. This time it was not a blow but a jewel in the left ear of the grandson who liked to mock his grandfather.

"You're a naughty grandchild."

"Cake up, let go of my ears. I'm not a kid anymore, don't pull my ears like this, Grandpa."

If the reaction of grandfather and bib Mur was like that, then why was Kak Revan's reaction very inversely proportional to the others. He is his son, or he does not know his mother. But bib Mur said, the late mother-in-law died when Kak Revan was 10 years old. I think it's age enough for us to remember memories in childhood .

Rara wondered if there was with her husband's attitude that looks ordinary.

After Grandpa and Revan left the dining table, Rara tidied and cleaned the tableware, although many servants but did not make him lazy.

"Bi, why didn't Brother Revan react to anything? Does he not like my soup?" rara asked Bi Mur who was washing dishes.

"Mr Revan just doesn't want to show his sadness in front of grandfather, he will look ordinary and fine every time he discusses his mother. But later he will cry alone in the room or in a place where there are no people" replied bi Mur.

Bi Mur knew because he had seen Revan himself crying in his room while looking at a photo of his mother.

"Are you wrong, I shouldn't have cooked that soup. They were saddened by the thought of the late mother-in-law."

Rara doesn't know if grandpa will be as sad as it ends.

"It's okay Non, they're just moved and happy. Do you know if all this time the grandfather master often told a great aunt or chef to cook the soup like made by the mistress, but no one has managed to match the mistress even if it's a great chef."

"And Miss managed to make it, master grandpa must be very happy."

Bi Mur was also happy when he said that.

In the car Rara did not realize that since then her eyes continue to look at her husband's face from the side of his left side. A handsome face that turned out to be very good at storing up his sadness.

"Is there something wrong with my face?" said Revan who realized when the wife continued to see him.

"Haa... why?"

"What's wrong, why do you keep looking at me. Is there something wrong with my face or are you fascinated by my good looks."

"Yes..." Rara gawked at hearing it. Didn't expect Revan would say such confidence.

"Will not confess?"

"No, no brother, not like that." Rara said as she moved her hand.

"Then why?" Revan turned his head briefly towards Rara with raised eyebrows.

It's okay if I ask about mother-in-law huh, thought Rara.

"Mm... doesn't Brother Revan miss his late mother-in-law?" ask Rara.

"Is this because of the soup you made this morning," guessed Revan and was taken in by Rara.

"Do you think that I'm not a good boy and don't miss you at all." Revan stopped his words for a moment.

"Mother is a great woman and very patient. She raised me alone without her husband, she never showed her sadness and loneliness in front of me and my grandfather when her heart was so hurt. That's all he did so we wouldn't be sad and pity him, he'd hold it himself."

"In my memory my mother always laughed when accompanying me to play and she always smiled in front of grandfather, until we did not realize that she had a very deep wound even to the point that the disease gnawed at her body."

"I just don't want to show my sadness in front of my grandfather, at the age that I want to make him happy through his old age," Revan explained about his feelings.

"Sorry sister, I don't know that" Rara said.

"You're not wrong why apologize, instead I want to thank you because thanks to your grandfather so you can feel mother's cooking again now. Maybe bi Mur has told you that all this time Grandpa has often told people to cook fish soup, but no one has managed to match or even approach like mother-made."

Rara was very touched to hear her husband's story about the late mother-in-law.

"You no longer need to feel guilty Ra, your presence at home has changed the atmosphere in it, which was previously quiet and cold is now warm again."

"Thank you. You didn't reject our matchmaking back then."

Honestly when Revan saw the crying haru grandfather this morning he was very grateful because Rara had been present in his life.

"All has been arranged by God, brother, our meeting through arranged marriage. I will not reject what God has ordained for me."

Rara was happy to hear that, her husband gradually began to open his heart. Revan also did not avoid their marriage relationship.

"Write down your phone number, I don't want anything like yesterday to happen again." Revan's got his phone.

Rara accepted it and started writing down her phone number.

"It's Brother."

Revan picked it up and made a call to the number.

"Save my number, remember my phone if anything happens."

"Good." Maybe it's late, it's been a few days together but just exchanged phone numbers but it doesn't matter. It is never too late to start and improve their relationship.

Arriving at college, as usual Febby was waiting for the man he thought his lover was in the parking lot. He could not believe that a woman like his wife Revan who dressed in plain clothes could beat him.

Yes, today Febby deliberately changed his style. Wearing a very beautiful dress, decorating her hair and nails, not to forget also makeup. He had already noticed the man on campus who had not blinked to see him, he was sure that Revan would also be fascinated by him.

"Hay beautiful.." seduced by a passing man.

Of course Febby gave his sweetest smile to some of the men who greeted him, because that was how he was. Love to spread charm and show elegance in front of the men.

to be continue...
