The Generals

"General Constantine ...?" The Great General looked doubtful when he saw the look of cruelty in the eyes of General One. "Don't act rashly" he asked. The old man stared worriedly at the figure he already considered to be like his own daughter.

"They want to weaken my army" said Constantine, sounding cold. The girl then shook her head, considering that she should still be able to control her own emotions in order not to act out of the plan.

"Let this be the duty of General Three and his troops. You remember .., there is a secret we must keep," said Jingguo. Constantine nodded in understanding. The girl with long black hair tied high, then raised her sword up as a sign for the troops to follow her. As the Great Vice General, his wiiba, even made him look like the Great General himself.

"DON'T LET THEM RUN AWAY!"

The arrows were launched by the other side. However, this time none of the knights were injured. The strategy was planned and executed well enough. The infantry troops holding shields were on the sidelines to protect the cavalry (horse) forces with the archery troops; on the other hand, the knights were being commanded by General Three, who was in command of the army, tasked with conducting attacks to conquer enemies with special formations.

The infantrymen were seen holding shields overhead, then, the troops in the edge area also had the task to complete the formation by fortifying the side area. Their tams are held together until fewer gaps exist. After that, the archery troops will take shelter under the defensive formation— that made the infantry soldiers—while releasing many arrows simultaneously. Now, thanks to the strategy, the enemies whose positions look random began to fall one by one.

When the enemies had been defeated, General Three gave the command of what his subordinates had to do immediately following the Great General along with the other troops that had preceded him. Due to the distance that was not too far away, they were able to quickly rejoin the other knights. Shi Jian, the Third General hurried to take his position by joining the other Generals leading in the front row.

"Good work General Shi Jian. The Shi Family is really lucky to have you," praised Chen Li, the General of the Four. The man laughed softly as he looked at his comrades in arms.

"The Li family is also lucky to have a genius like you," Shi Jian chimed in. The man pulled the two corners of his lips. To be honest, General Three was not a speaking figure; he would rather act than speak meaningless words. As for the compliment he gave just now, it was indeed true.

"If you succeed in taking away the life of Old Huo Chen, I will give you one of my college mace to be yours," said Ma Zhengyi, the General of Five as the expert of the battering ram with a grin. The listeners looked surprised, given how calculated the man had been all along.

"General Zhengyi, if you succeed in killing Demon Rou Lan, I will give you some of my family's precious possessions." General Two, Xingxing Tang, was involved in the discussions of the Generals. He was a swordsman who was defeated by Constantine a few years ago.

"If each of you succeeds in killing just one important figure, I will give you some of my poison supplies as a complement to your weapons" said Constantine Yang. The girl was still staring straight ahead, assaulting the Generals already staring at her with sparkling glances.

"He never messes with his words" Chen Li whispered to three other generals. The four of them, then got more excited. All were convinced that they were able to conquer the challenge of a Constantine Yang.

"We must immediately find a safe place to rest" said the Great General. The man glanced around, then sighed. He was a cultivator who could survive without food for a few days, but his troops, even though they were formidable humans, still required consumption as energy intake.

"I heard there was a water gurgle near here" Constantine said. The woman has super sharp hearing. "Stop gossiping" she lamented, suddenly. With a faint sigh, he looked at the Generals who were talking about it openly. In fact, Xingxing Tang and Shi Jian who were usually inattentive could not help but participate in the activity.

"Recent news, General Contantine who beheaded those who were caught talking about him." Han spoke from behind while giggling amusedly, followed by the other knights; while General Two, General Three, General Four, and General Five only showed his sour face.

From this, it could be felt that warmth had enveloped the tension that existed. They strengthen each other. Win or lose, it will be borne together.
