Departure Day

I looked at the scene before me, while the sun began to rise gracefully. But, in the midst of the stunning morning's dimness, there was him who was visible from a distance. His face flashed with thunderous anger. "Dog, do you think you can relax?!" he said, his voice filled with anger that could not be hidden. His steps drew closer, and his gaze pierced me with deep hatred.

My head is heating up, I'm getting tired of this. “Who the hell, motherfucker!”.

His face, swayed by negative emotions, became horribly distorted. And all of a sudden, I felt something clutching my chest, shutting my breath in an unfamiliar sense of tightness.

Suddenly, I woke up drenched. My heart beats as fast as the clink of a bell, the pulse in my temple feels as if it wants out of my skin.

There, near the wall, he appeared so suddenly. "You ready?".

“...Emang there is another way?” I sighed in – deep.

The sunlight began to radiate through the window, illuminating our classroom. The usual carefree classroom guardian stood at the front, this time with a female teacher of counseling guidance whom I did not know. Her steps were steady as she entered the room, and I could feel a strong aura of leadership from her before she spoke. His brown hair was neatly tied behind his head, adding to his professional impression.

“Before starting today's lesson, teacher bk has something important to convey,” his voice sounds soft but firm. The whole class immediately shut up and focused.

“Yesterday, Katherine was forced to be transferred to the hospital.” The sentence hung in the air, filling the room with silence. The faces in the class looked confused and worried.

“Katherine's mom contacted the school,” she continued. “She was curious, was Katherine bullied at school.” His voice sounded sharp, as if he wanted to trace the truth firmly.

“If any of you have any information about this, please raise your hand,” take it with a serious tone. My gaze flashed from one face to another, seeking a reaction from my classmates. Some people seemed hesitant, while others looked like they wanted to say something.

“Hey, isn't this a good time?” whispered the ghost. I turned to her with a surprised expression, but she just raised her eyebrows with a sign of approval.

Yeah, you're right. I didn't think that they would come suddenly into a class like this. My tongue felt a little stiff as I gulped slowly. Even so, I feel that this is a better thing.

I already feel that the school should act decisively, and if they don't take the necessary steps, I don't hesitate to report it to the police. Of course, that would be another big deal.

My eyes felt increasingly blurred, and the hand that had been so steady, now felt soaked in sweat and trembling with anxiety. Breathing that is usually calm, is now changing to fast, short, and shallow. Shit, I really feel like I'm losing control of myself. In this state, I could even feel a loud knock from my heart beat.

With all the courage I could muster, I tried to raise my hand. This is an important moment, and I can't let fear hold me back.

Finally, after quite a long effort, I managed to raise my hand slowly. I felt like I was standing on stage, surrounded by everyone's attention. This sight made the anxious feeling inside me even stronger.

I could feel how hard my heartbeat was, almost like I was running a marathon. But I can't back down now. I have to take this opportunity to say what I want to say. This is a moment I can't just miss.

"With permission, there is something I want to tell everyone," I said, my voice sounding more vibrating than I expected. But I know this is an important step and I have to deal with it.

Now, with all 44 eyes on me, I feel like I'm under a bright spotlight. I feel nervous and tense, but I have to stay strong. I can't let my fear rule me. If I mess this up, I can say goodbye to life

my school.

“Regarding the incident involving Katherine, the perpetrators of the incident are... Dani from class 11 MIPA 3, Bambang from class 11 IPS 2...and Rico as the main perpetrator,” I said nervously, my gaze remained focused on the new counseling teacher.

On the edge of my vision, I could imagine how Rico was staring with a wrathful expression. Even though I didn't see her directly, I could feel the pressure from her invisible gaze. Without a mirror, I know how I look now.

They were silent for a moment, like a frozen atmosphere. No one spoke, and silence seemed to permeate the entire room. Nothing moved, not even the sound of breathing was clearly heard.

Meanwhile, my eyes still remained focused on teacher BK, trying to understand his reaction. He looked serious, his face raised as if he was contemplating the words I just said. He may also have to process this information before proceeding.

“...” is not a voice that fills the room, when teacher BK is heard sighing gently, as if he wants to remove the tension of the atmosphere. Now that all eyes were on us, the atmosphere was so tense as if the air had become even heavier.

“Don't be reckless, why are you accusing!” Rico snapped with a tone that rose high, and his facial expression showed deep displeasure.

“What's your proof?!” he continued, his sharp gaze directed at me. “Stop. I wasn't even there,”

I swallowed, feeling nervous. But I have to overcome this nervousness. It's an important moment and I can't back down now.

“Rico, tell me, yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock where are you?” I asked, trying to hold back the doubt in my heart.

“Of course, I have to go tutoring. We will not be facing a midterm exam soon. I don't want values to go down,” he replied in a tone as if giving a logical explanation.

“What do you want to say?” Rico asked back, his expression still looking angry and impatient.

“Oh, it's nothing. You just said that you went to tutoring, right?” ask again.

“But I found something strange,” I said in a tone that tried not to look nervous.

“What's weird?” He asked, his expression a bit nervous.

“But something strange, after I saw it, why is your name not on the list of rankings?” I continued in a sharper tone.

“Say, how likely is one of the highest ranking students in school, not even getting into the top 30?” I continued with a sharp question.

“Or is our school level really that bad?” I added while looking at Rico.

Rico started to look nervous, like he was surprised by my questions. I could see how his face was slightly paled, and his eyes flickered slightly, looking for the right answer.

“W-that time I was learning less. Lately I have also been busy being the vice chairman of OSIS, so want to not want my values to go down,” replied Rico in a voice that began to tremble.

I feel relieved to hear it. He started to look nervous in answering my questions. A small smile began to be etched into my face, as if to signal that I would not let it escape just like that.

“But this is the problem, chief. I lied about going to your tutoring place. This paper is fake, chief,” I tore it in half.

“I just printed this paper,” I said in a firm voice, while showing the pieces of paper I had torn.

“I heard, yesterday there was no event. The roof is leaking due to heavy rain,” I said as I stared intently at Rico.

“But strangely, why do you keep trying so hard to convince me that you go to tutoring and do tryout?” I continued in a curious tone.

Rico looked more nervous, as if beginning to realize that his lie had been exposed. I could see how slowly his hands were shaking, and his eyes were looking for reasons that would make him look better.

“Honestly, chairman,” I said in a stern voice.

“I know, you didn't go to the tutoring place did you?” I continued while looking at Rico sharply.

“I wonder, what kind of reason can make the chairman to lie?” added me while trying to maintain my firm face.

Rico increasingly looked nervous, his expression looking like a person caught in a trap. I could see how his eyes were writhing in search of the right answer.

“D-he was wrong,” Rico finally uttered in a somewhat stuttered voice, his gaze struggling with anxiety.

“B-not me who doused Katherine,” said Rico as he stood up, as if to give the impression that he wanted to face this situation.

“How do you know, Katherine got splashed?” the new BK teacher, in a stern tone, asked a very important question.

Rico seemed to subconsciously he replied, “I know from the chat of some students.”

"If you're really not involved" continued the teacher in a sharp voice, "Why don't you love"

To be honest, I forgot what the teacher said. Because back then, I focused on the sweat droplets that started

wet Rico's forehead.

"Rico, immediately to the BK room," the voice of the BK teacher broke the silence, ending my moment of thought.

"The others, get ready. You will be called to the teacher's room in turns" he added.

I went to les Rico and talked to his CS. I don't think it's gonna be so hard to ask for a list

too many risks I took. I can think of myself as lucky because everything went well. When the absences list was in my hands, I realized, it turns out he was not too diligent to enter this tutoring place. In addition, not many students from our school who enter this tutoring place, especially in his class. Therefore, I feel that I'm willing to bet on this evidence. But still, if only her tutoring friends told her or even her CS spoke, my plan could fall apart.

Shit, I'm not good at this.

"I have a little advice for you, maybe for the next time you practice more" whispered the ghost freely in my mind.

Now, here's the important part. My real job is to make sure other students can dare to report. I couldn't look them in the eye, so I just looked at their chin. They are the same people, people who are silent when everything happens. Unfortunately, no matter how much I hate them, I still need their roles. Cold sweat started seeping in my temples.

"Especially, who was a victim of their actions," I spoke softly, making sure my voice could be heard by them.

"I know you all must be angry, confused, scared, anxious, and other feelings" I continued.

"But look at this as an opportunity. Now is a good time for you guys," I tried to burn their spirits.

"So, please," I said, I bowed a little.

"I'm asking you guys for help. Please report everything you know about their actions. Just as it were," I asked sincerely.

Silent. Only a silent voice greeted my words. Now, I can only hope that they can dare to tell everything.
