War Drum

Constantine Yang stared intently at the figures across there. Her hair that was tied high seemed to be flying. The blood red dress covered in iron clothes, was also able to add value to the charm of the Women General. People see her like Goddess—Goddess of War, Goddess of Death.

"The time has come" said Jingguo Li with a burning spotlight. His hands clenched tightly when he saw the many enemies that had been waiting.

They were all quite relieved, as there was no second attack after the first assault of the archery force that killed several of the Anming Knights. Now, after a long journey, they had come to the promised place.

People often refer to this place as Padang Ranshao. Pasang Ranshao was a territory in Xingzuo Empire that did not belong to any royal domain. Many people are very anti go to this place, because the air temperature is very torturous. During the day, the average temperature ranges from 50 degrees Celsius; during the night, the average temperature is about 4 degrees Celsius. Normal humans really will not be able to face all the anomalies in this place.

"We must quickly win this battle. Rightly said the person, it is very hot here," Ma Zhengyi whispered to the Generals. The man wiped the sweat that had dripped down his face. "Why should this place, huh?" his weakness.

"Marijuana. This place is far from the settlement. This is to minimise casualties" Constantine said, in a cold voice. He was observing the enemy formation up ahead. 'Likely, the witches were hiding in the back there, ' her inner self.

"Foolish man. As a leader with his incompetent descendants, he had truly sacrificed the fate of his kingdom by participating in this war. If she dies, her children have absolutely nothing to expect." Jingguo Li cussed, staring ferociously at the figure of Wangquan Yan there. The two have long harbored hatred for each other. In the past, both of them were fierce rivals when it came to fighting for the title of Genius of the Sheng Guang Order; a sect specifically established to educate young people with the talent of their cultivators.

"Comebody! Isn't that Molihua, the Matriarch of the Sheng Guang Order?!" Chen Li widened his eyes. "They really want to destroy us" he said.

"The main goal of those people—regardless of the grudge of emperor—actually is to master the resources of our kingdom. We who are the military, of course, are considered a threat" Constantine said. As usual, the girl remained calm. There was not the slightest trace of trepidation in his heart when he saw the many enemies ahead. Instead, his spirit was burning up.

Now, the five generals along with the Great General were staring at each other with a code that was certainly understood by the knights. "No need to waste time waiting. On the count of three, the formation should already be perfect; on the count of five, we directly stormed the opponent," Xingxing Tang said loudly and confidently.

The knights who heard General Two's words also tightened their grip on their respective weapons. With their hearts pounding, they received the cue from the leader. The time has come, and there is no turning back. From the beginning, they were all prepared to die for their nation and their homeland.

"ONE!" Ma Zhenyi's voice sounded out loud.

"TWO!" Chen Li puffed out his chest, staring at the enemies lowly. Even so, there was no intention from him to underestimate them.

"THREE!" Shi Jian retreated backwards. As the leader of the archery squad, he is a type of long-range attacker.

"FOUR!" Xingxing Tang growled and flailed his chest. Suddenly, it made him look even more furious.

"FIVE!" Constantine Yang looked calm on top of his beloved Zilin. A smile rang on his lips, making anyone who saw it shudder in horror. There was a clear look of cruelty there.

"SOON!" jingguo Li, the Great General. The vowel seemed to be a drum which was a sign that the battle between life and death was starting.
