Reincarnation A Gem

Reincarnation A Gem
Chapter 12: THE BET

Since saving the prima donna, Krystal has not seen her at school and so a week has passed. He had no friends in class but it was no big deal to him. He was in school to study and make a brighter future for himself and not to lick some kids he wasn't interested in.

The rumors about him did not stop at all and he had noticed that a certain teacher really hated him to the bone and this was not even Mr. Robert and he wondered if he had ever offend him in other ways.

It was Wednesday and Krystal woke up early as she does every day. He had increased the number of rounds he had to run every morning since he started cultivating. After following what the book detailed, Krystal could now feel the energy around her. His body became stronger than before so he could continue to do so again and again.

After a morning run, she took a shower and put on her school uniform before coming downstairs for breakfast. Aunt Grace had cooked him chicken porridge with some vegetables and he ate it with pleasure because the other woman was good at cooking.

When he finished with his breakfast, he left the villa after saying goodbye to Aunt Grace. A taxi was waiting for him at the gate of the Villa complex. He had decided to use this older man's taxi every morning. He just likes her and she reminds him of a father he never had when he was an adult.

"Good morning," he said cheerfully as he sat in the back.

"Good morning to you too."

The taxi took off and during that time, Krystal busied herself with the driver's newspaper. He was used to reading the morning newspaper and the driver's newspaper was available.

A taxi drove him to school, after paying the fare he walked to the schoolyard. He ignored the appearance of those arrogant children and walked into the classroom. Who knew that on his way he would see a very familiar face, the prima donna of the school had come to school.

Ever since he saved her that day, he had never bothered to call her or call her. That was not the reason why he had saved her from the start. So after staring at her for five seconds, she retracted her gaze only to see that the prima donna of the school was smiling at her.

What the hell's going on? He shook his head in denial and headed for class.

Everything went well that morning; he listened to his teacher, wrote notes and answered questions the teacher asked him during the lesson. He is not stupid to not notice that the way they keep asking his questions is to make him uncomfortable and make mistakes. What they never expected was that she had a beautiful memory, everything she read or heard she would remember. And as someone who reads his school books every day, how can he allow himself to be the laughingstock of the school.

Mr. Macy has helped him by making him attend his school; he doesn't want to owe anyone anything, which is why he never asks for anything after being accepted at Riverside High School.

He was in class reading a trade textbook when the math teacher came in. This was not even the time for him to teach, yet the first thing he did was to fight with him.

"It's a shame to think that people can pretend to be well behaved and pretend as if they love school when all they are capable of doing is causing trouble and seducing the rich," Bu Jones spoke with contempt in his voice, his gaze directed towards her.

He was even surprised when he heard the woman sneer at him. He even looked around to check if his words were aimed at anyone other than him, but when he remembered that he was in the corner, he was, he could not help but frown at his words.

Are current teachers rude towards their students without even checking the facts? He had no recollection of ever scaring this woman before, so why would he attack her like this?

As someone who did not want to fight back, he decided to ignore it and not respond. If he responds then he will fall into his trap and he is not stupid.

Little did he know that he had angered her even further?

"Just wasting time trying to ignore me and make yourself graceful. Just wasting other people's resources, the school should have taken you out before you taught these innocent children your shameful ways" Ms. Jones attacked him again and this time he could not.

Krystal slowly lifted her head from her book and her gaze locked dangerously with her teacher's eyes. As someone who was on the path of a cultivator, he was able to do so many bad things that the first lesson he wanted to teach this arrogant woman was to teach her what fear was.

"All my life, I've never seen you before. The first time I saw you was when you came to give me the first lesson of the semester. I wonder why you were busy attacking me this morning when we didn't even cross the street!'

"Ha ha, you think if you talk like that, I'll curl up and be afraid of you? Don't you know exactly what you're doing?"

"Please tell me," Krystal grinned as her gaze was still locked with hers.

"You....."

"Yes, how can you talk to him like that?"

More crazy comments emerged from all corners of the class and he could not help but frown. Why did they make this his mistake when it was clearly his teacher's fault?

"So, what exactly do you want me to do?" Inevitably Krystal asked, since she was acting like this then there must be something she wanted to accomplish right?

"You have to leave the school, you've had enough of it, '" Ms. Jones spoke.

"Are you speaking on behalf of everyone or yourself?"

"On behalf of everyone," her reply came back and she smiled at him.

"What if I don't want to go, anyway I get my place right."

There was muttering throughout the classroom, instead of teaching, this woman was busy exchanging words with him.

"Did you say you didn't want to leave school?"

"Umm, yeah that's what I mean. How about we bet?" Krystal suggests putting everyone's interests first.

"What kind of a bet?"

“Because no one believes me then let's bet on my worth. The end of the month is coming, though, if I fail any exam then I will happily leave but if I have to pass then you need to apologize to me for throwing insults at me when I did nothing to you."

"Ha ha, you think I'm afraid of an ex-con like you? You have to come first, only then will I apologize."

"So you've agreed?"

"Yes, and this was witnessed by the entire class," Bu Jones spoke proudly as if he knew that he would win in the end.

"That's the deal then. Until then, I hope you won't attack me with words because next time I won't guarantee you that I'll keep my cool like this. You never know what I might do when I'm angry, after all, I'm an ex-con," with a grin Krystal gave everyone in the class goosebumps and she looked back at the math textbook she picked up when she returned the trade book.

When the teacher regained consciousness after a minute, the lesson finally began and he did not bother her anymore. The rest of the day passed smoothly, news of his bet had circulated throughout the school but he did not notice it.

At the end of the day, Krystal carries her bag and leaves school. On the way to the bus stop, a car suddenly stopped by his side which made him stop in his lane.

He felt a familiar presence that made him stand there comfortably. As he expected, the school prima donna came out of the car with a sincere smile on her face.

"Hi" she said with a red hue on her face. Krystal was shocked by this sudden sight. Since when was he interested in women?

"Hi" she said back.

"Do you mind if I drop you off?"

Since a free ride had appeared, who should he refuse? With a smile he agreed to the request and got into the car with the school prima donna.
