K finally decides how to raise the money needed by Triumph. He remembered the potions he had gathered on the mountain, so he was busy selling them and only kept two ginseng roots for him to make soup and wine to drink later.
Since the herbs were full of vitality, they sold them quite well. He got a sizable sum out of them all.
However the money was not enough to finish what happened was needed, so he decided that it was time for him to use his jade eyes and make money from gambling stones.
K wears his disguise and makes himself more mature and unrecognizable in case he meets anyone he knows. The world is very small and these rich people are very fond of visiting places such as antique markets and jade markets. It is a place that can make you very rich or very bankrupt in just seconds.
K was delighted when he walked into the store first, there was no customer at all that made him ponder what was happening but it did not stop. he from picked up the trolley and started pushing it as he assessed the energy in the store.
The energy was low but there was a certain pile of stones whose energy was greatly emitted. He quickened his pace and stopped right in front of the pile of rocks.
"Esteemed customers, these stones were the cheapest and it was very difficult to find jade inside. How about you move to another stack?" the old man he saw when he walked into the store suggested.
He knew that he had no hatred for her, he was just trying to help her. Maybe something went wrong with the stones and made this shop have a bad reputation and now he is being careful. Life is really hard.
"Thank you for the advice but trust me. I will make your shop so famous that people who think of stepping on you will regret it" he said with a smile.
The old man could see the confidence in the young woman's voice and something deep within him convinced her that he had to trust her and she did.
"I'll trust you then" he said and returned to the counter.
K first took a number of stones emitting high solid energy into his trolley from the cheap stone pile before he started collecting other stones from the other pile. He did not choose every stone that jade had in it. If he did then he would only lead the store towards its destruction. At least some people had to find some jade in order for the store to become popular.
In order to cover up his abilities, he also took out some stones with nothing in them. He finally took out ten stones and six of them had jade in them. He just didn't know which class or quality it would be.
He paid for the stone he bought and parted with a million in cash. This was nothing because he knew how much jade cost once people started bidding on it.
Due to his crazy purchase, this attracted a number of people to the store and most of them actually laughed at him and mocked him for being blind to the extent of wasting his money buying waste materials from a store like this.
Didn't people learn that one shouldn't look down on others especially when one doesn't have all the facts?
"It's my money and I'm entitled to use it as I please" K simply threw comments at people who mocked him making them increase their anger. This was what he wanted, the more they acted like this the more this shop would be popular after the stone showed what he wanted.
"He's so arrogant, soon he'll cry after throwing away so much money."
"Let's see about that."
"How about we bet?" another young man spoke while looking at him with disdain.
K frowned as he looked at this arrogant young man. He didn't even know her, yet he provoked her.
"Why should I bet with you?"
"Are you afraid of losing?"
"I'm not afraid of hell or heaven, so why should I be afraid of a simple bet? I'm just afraid you don't have the guts to accept it when you lose."
"What do you want?"
"If I get the jade in half of the stone I bought then you have to give me ten million dollars and if I lose then I will do the same.
Do you dare?"
"What are you afraid of, just bet?"
"Since you're so confident, how about we make it twenty to make it interesting?" the young man raised the stakes and K immediately smiled.
After all, he was not the one who refused free money.
"Deal, let everyone be a witness" K said as he looked at the group of people gathered wanting to see the show.
The old man was now worried about the young lady, he used to be people looking down on her but this young lady did nothing wrong.
"Grandfather, can you cut my stone?"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, me," she agreed with a smile on her face.
K picked up the stone and started drawing a few lines on it. Those who see him can see that he looks like a professional. He only knew the theory as he read many books from his bookstore.
To make it interesting, he wasted the old man a stone to cut. He needed to horrendous and make these people arrogant enough that when he slapped them in the face, they would learn a lesson.
So the first stone was cut and nothing was found. He showed no signs of regret at all but looked at the old man with a reassuring face and gave him a second stone which was also futile.
"Hahahaha, this is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Is this what you promised us? You should stop being arrogant and apologize. I think you should start preparing my money," the young man spoke arrogantly while showing off his money in the air.
The people around them looked at K with disdain once again. Some felt sorry for him and the old man did not see, so he decided to give the old man hope and give him a stone full of energy.
“Cut the stone, you don't have to worry and trust me,” he smiled at the old man.
Seeing that his demeanor had not changed, he felt better and continued to cut stones but someone felt uneasy after being ignored and considered as air.
"I'll make sure to make you prostrate and crawl between my legs when you lose!" he snorted at her but K just lifted the corner of his lips and looked at the stone.
"Look at that window!" someone exclaimed as the green color was shown on the stone.
The old man's hands trembled as he continued to cut. He felt extremely excited when he saw that this stone might be carrying jade. He had forgotten how long it had been since his shop had cut jade.
"That might be the wrong call, just wait and see," said the young man but he felt bad at all.
Now everyone is waiting to see the results and a few minutes later the answer is in front of everyone to see.
"It was a green type of oil, it was really jade!"
"Yes that."
"Don't be arrogant, it's just the first one. The best is for five."
"I don't care about that; I want that jade. I can give you two million!" another man shouted and this started to cost the war and in the end the first jade sold for six million.
K smiled as he looked at the balance in his bank account. Money flowed and this stone was the lowest, what would happen when he cut out the high-grade ones?
