REMEMBER ME?...

REMEMBER ME?...
The Part 31

Kiara who walked in front of Vano for a few minutes ago, now suddenly stopped, making Vano who followed him also stopped his steps. Kiara turned her body to the East, facing the beach that lay there. He glanced at his watch and turned to look at Vano with a smile. Without saying a word, the girl stood beside Vano still while facing East. Vano followed the direction of the girl in confusion. The sea breeze blew towards them, making Vano have to close his coat, in contrast to Kiara who was relaxed even though the tip of his nose and cheeks were red.

“In a minute,” murmured the girl.

Vano turned his head quickly towards Kiara while frowning.

“Ten... nine.. eight... seven... six... five..,”.

Vano turned his gaze back from Kiara and stared at the expanse of sea before his eyes. Yellowish tides began to decorate the sky at the end of the vast ocean which was originally dark in color.

“Four... three..,”.

Vano's eyes were wide. The black clouds that originally surrounded the sky began to move away were replaced by a faint blue color and also a golden light coming from the sun that had just returned from its resting place. The sun looked timid and slowly peeked out from behind the vast ocean.

“Two... one..,”.

Vani held her breath. He could not express what he saw with words. Is beautiful. That was all he thought of in his mind. In his entire life, he would never forget such a beautiful natural phenomenon. Slowly, his hand was raised to grab a digital camera hanging from his neck, his professional camera was damaged a few months ago, so he could only bring a digital camera to capture something. With slightly trembling hands, Vano began to aim at the scene before him.

“Now you see it,” Kiara said interrupting Vano who was still amazed by the sight before him and the results of his camera shots.

“Sunrise view that you may have seen for the first time in Indonesia,” continued the girl.

Vano turned his gaze to Kiara beside him. “Did we also often see the sunrise view like this here?” tanyakanya.

Kiara pensively turned the memory box on her brain. “No, this is my first time seeing the sunrise with you,”

Vano. He turned his gaze back to the sun that had completely returned to space and illuminated the world around him. Slowly, the tip of his lips carved out a smile. “So...,” murmured slowly. He did not know what made him feel so happy hearing Kiara's words earlier.

“Ayo,” take Kiara again.

“To where? I haven't finished—“

Kiara suddenly pulled next to Vano's arm to make the man move. “Ayo... There are still many things we have to do!”

The sun was now shining bright enough to light up the steps of the two of them. It is also enough to make Vano's sharp vision interested in the objects of the scenery around them. Vano's hand was itching to photograph the scenery he had just seen, but he forgot he did not bring his professional camera because it was damaged. And again, the battery of this digital camera is not fully charged overnight because he did not know something like this would happen—walk through Bali in the morning.

Vano's gaze turned back to the front, on the figure of Kiara Kusuma who was walking excitedly while humming a little. Sometimes, the girl's body moves strangely like dancing with a song that she mengandungkan. Vano shook his head, not expecting the girl before him to be this innocent.

“Yes, where are you taking me?” vano asked, breaking the silence between the two of them.

Kiara turned. Just as his mouth opened, suddenly a voice called out to him from a distance.

Kiara turned her back to Vano and looked at a middle-aged woman who was at her doorstep and had just called her name. A smile was etched on Kiara's pink lips. The girl turned around briefly and then pulled back one hand of Vano without having time to answer the man's question, making the man of course revolt.

“Hey, what the fuck? Where are you taking me again?” her tanyanya was full of suspicious tones.

Kiara grunts. “Be quiet, I thought this was a great start to recovering your memory,”

“What is—“

Before Vano finished his curse, Kiara had pulled him and led him towards the middle-aged woman earlier.

The middle-aged woman smiled gently at them as soon as the two of them were in the presence of the woman.

“Halo, aunty,” greeted Kiara politely and immediately followed Vano even though he did not know why he felt he had to follow Kiara's behavior towards the middle-aged woman.

“Sfuh... It's been a long time, huh?” said the woman. “Kia, how in England? And Vano, when are you back? Why didn't you tell me?”

Vano's frown faintly looked at this middle-aged woman's knowledge towards the two of them. He was about to ask the woman a question, but was immediately grabbed by Kiara.

“We are back in the same time, maybe one month ago,” replied the girl

“England is pretty good, Bi, but still I always miss my Koraku. Oh, what about the kids? Did they study well when I left? It's been a long time.. May I try teaching them again?”

Now Vano is really confused so he can't bear to ask, “You ever taught here?” asked Vano in a completely confused tone.

The middle-aged woman chuckled at Vano's reaction. “Yes, he taught here a few times three years ago before he went to England. It's funny, you guys used to study here, now you teach. You wanna try it, Vano?" ask the woman again.

Kiara turned towards Vano. “The kids here are so funny! They're friendly, and I'm sure they'll welcome you well. Come on.. You haven't been here in a long time, have you? All reminiscing about our childhood here,” persuaded Kiara.

“Not so, but I have no talent mak—“ Vano stopped when he looked at Kiara's eyes who was looking back at him with a clear look. “Alright,” the man finally relented and Kiara developed a triumphant smile on her lips.

The middle-aged woman was still smiling as she looked at them. “Okay, you guys are so funny. Very harmonious. Have you guys been dating?” ask the woman.

For some reason, being called like that makes Vano's cheeks feel hot. “Not like that, we are just—“

“We are engaged,” Kiara said casually.

The woman, also Vano, immediately swerved towards her as fast as lightning and with her over-bred eyeballs. While the one who was stared at just smiled sweetly then pulled Vano's hand to enter the middle-aged woman's house while saying,

“Bi, before class starts, can we help you?”
