After the last activity in the company building ended at exactly half 6 pm, the staff chose to go straight home to rest a little before leaving for Nami island at 9 pm. Vano and Kiara had the same thought. Only, the man at this time still did not dare to say hello to Kiara who still silenced her. Kiara is seen calling someone in the waiting room, while Vano is in his office, watching Vano's every move.
They should have gone home together, Vano knew that. The girl's stuff was on him. However, he could not go home with the girl now. There was something he had to do and the girl couldn't know. However, if he said that to the girl now, he did not know what reaction the girl would display. Will the girl get even more angry at him for accusing him of being an irresponsible man? Oh no, it's enough Kiara is angry at him today. He did not want to ruin the atmosphere.
It was enough Kiara sneered at him, looking at him cynically and sharply throughout this day. It was enough that he did not receive a breakfast sandwich that Kiara should have kept at her desk this morning or this afternoon. It was enough that he accepted all of that. He does not want his relationship with Kiara who gradually improved, now again destroyed because of his own actions.
Wait a minute, why would he want to maintain his relationship with Kiara like this?
Vano shook his head for a moment. In his mind, he had promised to keep telling the girl that today they could not go home together. All he had to do was wait for the girl to finish calling.
About 9 minutes had passed and Vano had already tapped his finger on his desk about 500 times and when his eyes glanced at Kiara, the girl was still busy with her phone stuck to her ear.
How long will the girl keep calling? Inner Vano was upset. Wanting it he walked there and immediately said his intention so as not to waste his precious time, but he again paused. No, that'll compound the problem.
2 Minutes later, Kiara lowered her phone from her ear. The girl also looked away somewhere that made Vano widen his eyes. The man quickly got out of his chair and ran after Kiara to keep the girl from leaving before she made her point.
“Kiara!" call Vano in a hurry.
Kiara who was walking towards the elevator turned around and looked at Vano flat. “What's up?”
“Begini.. I have a business for a while, it seems like I can't go home with you now,” Vano said.
raised next to his eyebrows. And that expression made Vano narrow his eyes in confusion.
“Good, besides I also promised to go home with Daren,” Kiara said.
“Ah, I was intending to find you because I wanted to take my things in the trunk. Since you're here now, it looks like I can take my things now. Daren will be here soon.”
Vano quietly gritted his teeth in annoyance. He never expected to face a girl who was angry would be this difficult. He waited for the elevator by standing next to Kiara. When the elevator opened, they went inside to get down to the basement. Inside, the atmosphere was completely silent. No one wants to open the conversation. The strange aura felt very obvious inside the narrow elevator.
When they reached the basement, they immediately walked towards Vano's car and the man immediately opened the trunk of his car and pulled out Kiara's red suitcase.
“That's all, right?” ask Vano. Kiara nodded.
“Thank you,” Kiara said half-heartedly as she passed to the front page of the office. Meanwhile, Vano can only sigh to vent his emotions___
It had been 5 minutes since Vano's car passed in front of him and left him alone in front of the office. Kiara sighs. The girl looked to her right and left, waiting for a white Tucson to come towards her. Like a dream come true, the car actually came from the west and in an instant stopped in front of where Kiara was standing. Someone came out of the steering wheel and approached Kiara with a little run around.
“I'm sorry, Kia have you been waiting a long time?” daren asked with a big smile.
Kiara shakes. “No, I just got out,” he replied.
Daren immediately takes Kiara's red suitcase out of the girl's hand and puts it in the back seat of her car. “How was your holiday in Bali yesterday? Did that guy do something that hurt you?” ask Daren.
“What?” daren asked after closing the back door of his car. He turned to look at Kiara with a half-suspecting and confused look.
“No,” elak Kiara. “Nothing happened, and I'm fine.”
“Ya already, that's good,” said Daren as he exhaled. He opened the passenger seat next to the driver's seat. “Then, please come in, miss Kiara kusuma,”
Kiara giggled a little at Daren's behavior. He then got into the car while Daren had to turn around his car first after closing the car door to get into the driver's seat.
After the car runs, Daren re-opens the conversation. “About the way, why did you suddenly ask me to pick you up? You didn't come home with your new fiancee?” daren asked half teasingly, half mocking.
“No,” said Kiara.
“Hei-hei, I know there's something strange here. You're always with him, aren't you? What's the matter this time? Did you guys fight? Tell me what's wrong so I have a reason to hit him!”
“No, not like that,” elak Kiara.
“Then what?”
“Now, maybe this is my feeling, but I just.. was missing her old self,” Kiara said with a look of laughter.
How long hasn't Vano been visiting this place? The last time he went to a place like this was when he was 19 and came for routine memory therapy. Yeah, he's back in the hospital. A large building, with white alleys and the smell of antibiotics everywhere, the place Vano most wanted to avoid. He doesn't hate hospitals, it's just that hospitals give him bad memories. That flash of memory sometimes comes back dancing in his head in a sequence that does not connect with each other at all and makes him dizzy himself. That's why he hates hospitals.
As of now, he was almost a dazed man among the many patients who were queuing to enter the intended doctor's room. After a few minutes of silence at the entrance, Vano finally moved to the reception desk after security told him that he was blocking the entrance. When he reached the reception desk, he immediately pulled out the business card that Brian had given him this morning.
“I want to meet Dr. Mike, neuroscientist,” Vano said.
“Have you made an appointment with him?”
Vano. The receptionist picked up her phone and pressed a few buttons. After a brief conversation with someone across the phone, he then hung up and looked back at Vano.
“Dr Room. Mike is on the second floor,” said the receptionist while commenting on a smile.
“Thank you,” reply Vano who immediately went to climb the stairs to the second floor.
When he arrived and searched the room, he finally found it. Vano was silent at the door for a while before finally venturing out to knock on the door. After the third tap, an answer came from within. Vano immediately used his fingers to open the door. When the door opened, he was greeted with the warm face of the doctor.
“Please sit down, Vano Alexander” said the doctor was friendly.
