SAFAZAR (Pursuing the Love of Mr. Prosecutor)
SAFAZAR | CHAPTER 148

Edzar approached slowly, approaching Safa who was fast asleep on the patient's bed. He had just returned from the police station, handed over the visa issued by the hospital this morning.

His hand was raised, carefully rubbing Safa's hair that was shining in the light. Then Edzar moved, standing in the way of the sun that could have disrupted Safa's sleep. Although it does not sting because the window is coated with special glass, but the light can be dazzling, and maybe Safa will wake up later.

Almost thirty minutes Edzar stayed in such a position, watching his now pale girl's face without any polish. Even so, Safa still looks beautiful. In addition to not neglect to use skincare, the contour of his face was already perfect from birth.

Unknowingly her smile rose, Safa looked peaceful in her sleep. Edzar could not resist bending over, smelling Safa's clean, smooth forehead without a stain. "I'm sorry Uda. I'm sorry that Uda failed to take care of you" she whispered over Safa's head.

Then he moved away because he found the eyelids shaking. Her eyelashes were about to open. Safa blinked, until finally the moon's dim netra can return Edzar see its beauty.

Edzar commented with a smile, his hand rubbed Safa's head lightly. "Put," he said for the first time.

Their views meet. Safa stared at Edzar flat, then glared back to fit his head on the pillow. Edzar chuckled, it seemed like the girl was still sleepy and not yet fully conscious.

He pecked back Safa's forehead, inhaling the fragrant aroma that was emanating even though the girl had not touched the water since yesterday. Safa walked away, then complained, "Geli."

Edzar smiled at Safa's weak whispers. Inevitably he stayed away, sitting on the bedside chair while reaching for Safa's hand in hand. Swiping softly on its smooth surface while pensively thinking of something.

Safa looked over with a frown. "A Uda why?"

Edzar looked up raising an eyebrow. "Hm?" Then he smiled and shook his head. "No. Uda just thought it looks like your hand is already matching wearing a ring."

Safa did not respond, her gaze turning to the window behind Edzar. Safa had no idea what floor it was and which hospital it was, for sure the view outside was quite soothing to the eyes. It will be very fresh if the morning and afternoon walks.

Suddenly Edzar interrupted, "Later for a walk. It's still two o'clock. The sun is hot."

It is not as hot as Jakarta, but with Safa conditions like this, Edzar is afraid of anything happening. After all, taking a walk during the day has a bad effect on the body, can cause dizziness and headaches.

Safa simply nodded without a sound. He was getting used to this Edzar. The man seemed to know what he was thinking.

"Did?"

Safa looked again. His face still displayed a meaningless expression.

"So you're sorry."

"Some days Uda's been very busy, so can't pick up your phone."

Safa was silent, looking at Edzar indifferently. It made Edzar's heart feel pinched. Has he gone too far. The girl must have assumed a no-no for a few days now.

"There's something you've prepared. For your. You should have given it yesterday, but ..." Edzar could not continue his words. He was afraid to hurt Safa if he remembered the incident. He himself could not resist emotions.

"You never once intended to avoid you. Especially leaving. No, Uda's not that kind of person. Although circumstances require us to separate, Uda will talk carefully. Not running or dodging without news."

"There's a reason not to contact you. One thing you should know, you're the only woman who occupies Uda's heart other than Mother."

"Please believe, Uda is working on our relationship. Indeed, until now I have not shown any signs of accepting you. But Uda will never let you go. Until whenever."

"So love is with you." Edzar kissed the back of Safa's hand long ago, then took her to his cheek while his eyes could not be seen the girl.

Safa could feel Edzar's rough jaws by the rest of the shaved sideburns. Amused, but also fun.

His head turned to the side, avoiding Edzar's gaze in the opposite direction. Suddenly his chest was again claustrophobic by something. It is hard to believe what Edzar is saying at this time. It felt like Safa's trust in the man was gradually starting to fade away.

Safa doesn't care. Wherever their relationship leads. Although Safa's feelings remain intact and evolving, a relationship without clear communication is unlikely to succeed.

Safa was afraid that she could not face disappointment when something happened. It would be better if he kept quiet and followed the groove. Safa will stay if she has to stay, and Safa will leave if she has to go.

Mommy is right, she can't be too dependent on someone. No matter how deep love has to be its limit. And Safa was trying to push her heart back to the surface, not to love Edzar too much.

"Did?" Edzar looked at Safa who refused to see him. She knew maybe Safa was angry because she had rarely contacted him lately. But, it seemed like something else was troubling the girl's mind.

"You're still mad at Uda? Uda, I'm sorry, honey. Uda promise after this will give you news as often as possible."

"You don't run away like this. Whatever is bothering you, please say. So that Uda can know and we can talk about this all right."

Safa still hasn't budged. His mouth was silent, refusing to speak.

"Dig"

"Why didn't Uda ever pick up Safa's phone? Reply to Safa's message?"

Silent. Edzar seemed to blink, slightly surprised by Safa's sudden question. Obviously, because Safa had been silent. He is the one who dominates the conversation.

"Dig"

"Too busy?" Safa grunts. "She was so busy that she could not type a single letter. But, Uda really had time to meet other women in the cafe," he said.

Edzar termangu. "Woman?"

"Which woman do you mean?"

Safa is getting windy. "Are there so many women I've met? To the extent that A Uda forgets anyone who has A Uda met the other day?"

"Attep, Ai. You said Uda met a woman at the cafe. Day tempo. Which day is it?"

"Oh, so Uda still don't want to be honest? You wanna pretend to forget?"

Edzar was getting dizzy, but as much as possible he still heard Safa's complaints which he did not understand at all.

"Ai, wait. There seems to be a misunderstanding here."

"What misunderstanding!" snapped Safa.

Edzar jerks. As soon as he got up from his seat, his face looked a little upset at the anger of Safa who did not seem to be playing games.

"Ai listen first. Uda's not done yet."

"Don't talk!" edzar said as Safa opened her mouth again.

"You didn't pick up your phone because you were really busy. Uda has fieldwork. Uda only has time to send you messages in the morning and night. The reason Uda does not call or video call you at night, because Uda wants you to rest on time. Uda don't want to disturb your sleep."

"Liar," frowned Safa with teary eyes.

Edzar shook his head, "There's no lie, honey. Yesterday Uda just arrived from Surabaya directly here."

"When to Surabaya?" Safa asked even with a tinge.

"So, you're picking up Uncle Robi."

"Keep that woman who!"
