"Good, right?"
"A Uda!"
"Yes?"
"Not good?" tanya Safa. He was trying a rectangular hijab with a pattern of cherry blossoms in faded pink.
Edzar. "Beautiful" he said, answering Safa's question.
"Kok, is that the answer? I don't think so bad." Safa scowled, more to the amazement of Edzar's reaction. "A Uda why, anyway? Safa was not focused. There's a problem, huh? Try stories. We're husband and wife. If there's something don't keep to yourself."
Edzar smile. They cut the distance between them. His outstretched hands allowed the location of the hijab that Safa was wearing. Tidying up the child's hair sticking out. Then frame that face. Gently rubbing his cheek while staring at the net which always made him drift away at bottomless depths.
"You're beautiful. So pretty that Uda was scared."
Safa's forehead is wrinkled. "Fear why?"
Edzar was silent for a moment. Then he breathed before answering. "You're afraid you'll turn away and leave Uda."
Sontak Safa. "Apaan, anyway, A Uda. Everywhere it's a wife who's afraid her husband's cheating."
Safa took Edzar's hand off his face. He looked back at the big mirror in front of them.
Beating, turning, looking at all sides of his body wrapped in a long suit.
"Safa can't wear a robe. No papa, huh?" He looked at Edzar behind him.
The man smiled again. "It's okay, honey. Just slow. Everything needs a process and a step up. Uda don't force you to wear shar'i, really. Relaxed. Wear what makes you comfortable. As much as possible, it should be closed. Don't wear tight, huh?"
Safa nodded. His eyes narrowed back to Edzar's smile. Then his focus again late trying on the clothes he had bought with his husband.
Without knowing Edzar watched her closely. The corner of his lips lifted. Staring at the shade of the wife who is now busy removing pairs of several sets of clothes and hijab. Match them to each other.
Edzar was happy, finally Safa was knocked to change the appearance to be more closed. Showing itself as Islam. To be honest, when he first met Safa again, Edzar almost desperate because he thought this woman was not at peace.
But thank God it is just an incorrect guess. And now Safa is slowly becoming interested in matters concerning religion. Indeed, after marriage Edzar made a routine agenda that they had to do together.
It is like praying if he is at home. Reading the Qur'an after magrib and dawn. Edzar did not get tired of accompanying even though Safa reading was not smooth. He was happy to teach what his wife did not know.
He was so grateful for the guidance God gave him. And Edzar hopes that all the worries he feels are only limited to anxiety before birth.
The doctor said Safa was healthy. Their babies are strong. It's gonna be okay.
After the magrib, Edzar recited the sacred verse to their infant. Safa lay on the bed. Half leaned against a pillow stacked in such a way by Edzar. His body is still wrapped in mucus.
And Edzar swore, Safa's face seemed to shine many times more than usual.
He's mesmerized. Feeling as if God had just sent one of his heirs down from Heaven. This his wife? How many times was she made to be amazed by her intoxicating beauty? From the past until now, Edzar never tired of looking at it linger.
Truly, truly the favor of God that he could not deny.
The heart is unceasingly grateful every remembering of the journey to get to this stage.
In the past, Safa was impossible just to hope for. But now, Edzar still half-believed that Safa was legally and religiously owned. Even conceiving her son-to-be who will be born a month away to see the world.
He smiled, chanting a line of verses while continuing to rub the enlarged wife's stomach. He often felt movement in it. It always excites him in anything.
Sometimes his eyes looked up at Safa. The woman smiled. They look comfortable and love their activities. Enjoyed the chanting of Surah Yusuf which he read.
Inevitably a feeling of peace reached Edzar's heart. And it looks like Safa too.
"Shadaqallahul district ...." Edzar recites the last verse, then closes the scripture, then kisses it for a moment, touches it on the forehead before then he saves it on the nightstand.
Edzar smile. Hugged Safa's stomach and gave her a kiss. He chuckled as he again felt the movement. His son is really active.
He put his head there. Throwing a glance with Safa who was also staring at him. Edzar's eyes immediately closed when the soft, delicate hand combed his mane. Her lips are endlessly enjoying the most beautiful family time she has ever felt.
"A Uda ...." Safa's voice was very sweet in her ears.
"Hmm? Why, Honey?" Edzar opened his eyes.
"Safa has a hunch. Our son will look like A Uda."
"Why is that?"
Safa shrugged her shoulders. Edzar smiled again, took Safa's hand and rubbed his fingers. "Like anyone, the important thing is to be healthy and safe."
"May you be a godly child, yes, son. Smart and devoted to the elderly," said Edzar on the stomach of Safa.
"Amale ...." Safa. They both smile at each other.
Edzar placed the back of Safa's hand on his cheek. Stroking the smooth surface of his white skin. Occasionally inhale the fragrant aroma. Slid his nose to Safa Kegelian.
Safa giggles. Especially when Edzar bit the edge of his palm with anxiety. "A Uda, uh. So it's off, right," he frowned. But he had no intention of stopping Edzar.
"Sir papa. Take wudhu again."
Safa doesn't want to lose. He took Edzar's other hand. So do exactly what Edzar did.
Edzar laughs. Safa bit him hard.
"Awh." Suddenly Safa grimaced. Kontan Edzar lifted his head from his wife's stomach.
"What's wrong? Is anyone sick?" tanyanya panic.
Instead of answering, Safa laughed, looking back at Edzar's anger. She clenched her tongue, feeling she had succeeded in pranking her husband.
Edzar immediately clicked. Scowling while resting his head back on Safa's stomach. "Look, Son. Your mama's naughty jailin Papi." He complained to the boy in there.
Safa laughed again. Raut Edzar looks funny when sulking. Very contrasted with the rigid image inherent in his daily life. Similarly, a scary face that often becomes a ghost in the courtroom.
"A Uda is so funny, anyway. Haha ...." Safa did not stop laughing. The corner of his eyes even water.
Compared to that, Edzar smiled shady with eyes can not be separated to look at the wife.
Safa who laughs is a haram beauty she misses. Not even comparable to the chunks of diamonds that are often offered. To him, laughter was the most precious of the most expensive things in the world.
