The grievances of the four yokai continued to be heard in both ears of Akio. Yes, this is because what Akio does makes himself together they have to experience something like this.

The incident at the Southeast Fortress of Honjou, resulted in Akio being expelled and Akio being banned from eating anything for a week.

The piece of paper is in fact a spell paper which the yokai will not be able to get into this area. Moreover, there was some kind of barrier as well, but since the spell paper had just been removed by Akio, then they would not be blocked anymore.
