Shinpi-tekina and yokai were born simultaneously. It is said that yokai appears, referred to as "Fall from heaven", as well as "Rise from hell", this is quite clear about yokai. Its deadly existence will one day destroy the Shinpi-tekina itself.
The ancestors that existed decades ago, almost counted a full century. Something that is still hidden, is currently still tightly sealed. Grandfather clearly knew that Kaeda deliberately did not tell the continuation of it, but presumably grandfather was reluctant to speak again.
“Is there anything?”
“Something what? It seems free to tell you this now, Akio.”
Speaking of the sword, one sword belonging to Akio who was currently in a rusty condition, was found to have been stained by the aura and evil spirit in the blade. Grandfather came to the temple and planned to purify it.
And Kaeda as the Shogun temporarily told Akio to hold his own sword later. But with another intention so that Akio does not target Retsuji again.
“A boy like him I won't let hold that sword.”
Retsuji is no ordinary sword. That sword was not a sword that could be played by just any samurai. It takes a strong determination and a straight path. While Akio who is predicted as a hero, it does not have the determination and the right thought. This is what makes Kaeda refuse to give the sword to Akio.
Instead Akio is a "dirty" boy."
“Akio, Your father went.”
“Leave it. I don't care about him.” Still angry, Akio twisted his body in a position still sitting there.
“Retsuji has the same meaning as your name. But I'm sure you want it not because of ambition but because you don't have time.”
“Am I right?” grandpa added, insinuating it subtly.
“Why ..”
“Why do I know?” grandfather said, for a moment he sighed before finally talking back. “I know because all night you didn't sleep. Since Mikio was resurrected.”
“If you already know, yes already.”
“Not that. I know there's something but I don't know what your real reason is.”
“Just think about what Yamamoto Kaeda is talking about. He said yokai fell from the sky, as if they were once creatures living above the clouds.”
“Hei, boy. You should have called him your father.”
“Not because he thinks I'm an outcast. Just like the others. But kek, he won't tell my whereabouts to the other samurai, will he?”
“Yes. No will.”
“Then it's good.”
The grandfather also realized, Akio had avoided the question. What made Akio take such a hasty step like this, but for sure the reason was quite large.
Just one that grandfather tengu thought of, “What might be because of someone who controls the yokai?”
“Don't tell me they're talking to you again?”
“Of course. They worry about you, so they tell me what they knew when they were born and grew up in Shinpi-tekina,”.
Akio left there and said, “Ya. Thas right. I don't know who he is, but lately I've been distracted. More precisely after Ikiryo died.”
“Because Ikiryo said that you will die soon?” sahut grandpa.
“Then they tell you. Oh my goodness, that's useless. I was confused what to explain to you. Because I think what he said was referring to the person behind this all.”
Grandfather momentarily sighed. He walked up to Akio and thrust out the rusty sword.
“It. Take.”
“I can't wear it. It's even worse than a wooden sword, you know.”
“Already, just take this.” Grandpa forced him, he grabbed Akio's hand and made him touch the blade.
In the instant when one finger touched on the bit of the sword part, something stung him to the point of causing Akio to drop the sword on the ground.
“Ouch! What the fuck?” Akio was complaining of pain.
“Many of the same evil auras but with different types merge into one in this sword.”
“I know it.”
“Barusan .. If you are able to hold it without pain then your heart is really dirty and vice versa.”
Akio touched her but she was in pain, which meant that her heart was not as dirty as many people imagined.
“Then what?”
“If you're dirty, then your father doesn't hesitate to kill you. Didn't I tell you before? From childhood, you've been monitored by many people including your own father. Punishment exists to prevent you from doing bad deeds.”
“I know! I know it! Then why? I just want to quickly hold a real sword instead of a wooden sword like this!” peekkik Akio's.
“Say, what's your destination now?”
“Suddenly what are you saying at a time like this. You already know I'm in a hurry but you seem to be deliberately holding me here!”
“Be as angry as you are, but I won't say anything about it. Akio, once again. What is your current destination?” ask grandpa.
The little old man looked at him very seriously. He was not angry but just asked seriously.
Again he asked, “What is your goal with yokai who will follow your orders?”
“My goal is simply to eliminate that damned yokai. And if you ask me what the reason is then I will say, that they have a foul smell!” akio.
“Then, for them. I have no intention of making him my follower. They themselves are the ones following so don't blame me.”
It's true what Akio said. Grandpa couldn't argue with that either. And in fact no one has been able to touch any of Akio's followers to date. Not only because of being a threat but they were moved because of the existence of Akio.
Yamamoto Kaeda had intended to provoke the emotions that exist in the yokai-yokai but the results were nil. Thinking that they would show their real figure but it turned out that they were very obedient to Akio.
“This sword has no name at all,” said grandfather while taking the sword.
That rusty sword, it has a lot of aura, spirit as well as evil power in it. Whoever holds it without feeling ill means that their hearts are filthy.
And now the grandfather grasped it without feeling any pain.
“Akio, do you know why I can hold this sword without feeling pain?” Grandpa tried to test it.
“Especially if not your heart is dirtier than mine.” As usual, the answer makes sense.
“Not, stupid. This is because I beat them.”
“What?”
After that, Grandpa just left. He entered the temple without saying anything more after saying the sentence. He said the sword would be sanctified by the priest.
After a while, he walked out of the temple and looked at Akio who was still standing there.
“Akio, go to Kuran. They're all waiting for you.”
“What? Why should I go back to Kuran?”
“Or do you want to die?”
Akio remained silent. But what Grandpa said was true, if Akio lingered here then the situation became more complicated.
