Samurai Oni

Samurai Oni
ONE-EYED

“You will stop here?”

When asked by the tengu grandfather, Akio still could not answer him correctly.

The question; refers to the destiny that has long held him back. Akio could not answer at all when asked that.

Bound by fate or not, or maybe fighting back, even Akio himself did not know what the exact answer was. Besides understanding that he understood nothing but to eradicate the enemy before his eyes. That's all it is.

However, when he finds out that Retsuji has a relationship with him, his grandfather once said that Retsuji was his in the past. It was slightly connected to the memories that had crossed his mind.

“Your father seeks to kill you not out of hate but to free you from that cruel destiny.”

For some reason, he remembered Akashi et al who bet his life just to find and protect him from other cursed yokai.

However, the thing that made Akio most upset was, the recall of bad old memories when he was very young.

Less than 15 years ago. The very small Akio had already met the damned yokai. For the first time he met, thinking that the creature was just a farm animal or something like a cat or dog.

“Wah, she's so cute. Why is his body standing upright and full of black feathers huh?”

Akio, who is very curious about unique things, always sneaks out of the house just to see the creature. Whenever there was a chance, he would go there and play with him.

I don't know what that thing is. But the creature stood upright with two small arms and legs, dense black fur and grasshopper-like antennae and the most unique of all shapes on its body were its eyes.

“Your eyes are only one ..odd.” Akio held it with one finger, of course the eye would flicker because it felt amused.

There is no mouth or nose. As Akio knew, the damned yokai never spoke except to follow Akio everywhere he went.

“Akio!! You went out again?!”

And when he was about to slip away again, he was caught by the father—Kaeda.

“My training has already reached the level you want. Why not just stop?”

“Free if you can't defend yourself. As powerful as you.”

“What does Father mean?! Nah! I'm tired of practicing! I'm tired!”

Approximately, because Akio's words at this time that makes the father—Kaeda change his mind. Kaeda, who is trying hard to raise Akio as a strong and strong Samurai, now begins to doubt the existence of destiny. Kaeda began to think that her son was being pulled around indistinctly and subconsciously frustrating him.

And then thought when hearing hundreds of complaints from Akio, “True too. You shouldn't have been born.”

As Akio remembered, that was what Kaeda had said to him even if indirectly. It made Akio's heart very sad, Keiko who heard so sad but did not know what to do.

And that was the first time Akio finally dared to rebel blatantly. He just focused on playing and playing with the cursed yokai. Unknown to anyone.

From one month to another. Time after time Akio spent just playing together with him until that time was over.

“You're stupid.” Akio did not hear wrong, because actually the creature he thought the livestock could talk.

“You are that Samurai. But since you forgot about it, you're being stupid and useless. If you're so lame like this, why would I eat you?” With his voice, he blatantly insulted Akio.

“Eh? Whahuh? What do you mean?” Akio who did not understand the conversation, immediately asked with a puzzled look on his face.

“Ah, true too. You're still a boy.”

“I used to have doubts, Grandpa. But now it's different. Even if they risked their lives, I wouldn't be that easy to believe. Then—”

"Fight!" This is the most appropriate answer from the other answer. Akio chose to fight not because of his choice of destiny but because he chose destiny itself.

That's why, now he has a way to maximize Retsuji—The Hero Sword that has supernatural powers. It looked very powerful as soon as he focused himself on the sword.

Able to slash what he must slash and miss what he does not need to cut. Now, both the evil barrier and the time-controlling yokai had run out in his hands.

“TUAN AKIO?!”

Everyone screamed hysterically when they found Akio outside the house, where they were trying to kill one of the creatures. But now that the creature is gone, they do not need to take up arms anymore.

“Master Akio is coming! Hooray!”

“I'm so glad you came to visit.”

“Mr Akio must have known that we failed to do so. Anyway this is unexpected.”

Today two yokai appear in one place. It was unexpected. Akio himself was not very aware of this, and arrived too late. It seems that the fate of Kizu, Yasha and Nekomata is still relatively safe.

“Mr Akio, did you get anything from the samurai you met?”

“Ya, slightly. About the Soldiers of Hell. Do you guys know anything?”

Kizu and Nekomata fell silent. Medium Yasha replied, “I know.”

It is the oldest yokai. He seems to know much better than the others.

“Soldiers of Hell, well ..that's an old-fashioned designation. Because there will be some damned yokai in a smokeless form. They are very strong, as Mr. Akio once encountered.”

“That woman?”

“Yes. But, I don't really know if he belongs to one of them or not.”

“So.”

Yasha did not know whether the yokai woman who always wore a bridal suit was one of the Hell Warriors or not. But if not, then his level was already strong enough and difficult to fight against by Akio.

“If he is not a Warrior of Hell. Then the damned yokai that part of the Hell Warrior is on it. Is that right, Mr Akio?”

Everyone thinks the same thing. I didn't think it was real.

And all the conversations between them were heard by the yokai. The woman is now not far from him, but just looking and sometimes smiling.

“I really appreciate it. When she remembers something, I really appreciate it. Then .. I'm impatient. To meet you, once again.”

As usual every word spoken from his mouth always sounded ambiguous and seemed strange. I don't know what he's planning, but from the direction of his gaze it's clear who he's after.

“Akio ..What is your name? It was beautiful,” muttered in a soft voice, slowly she took a step back and dragged her dress a little.

Then he disappeared like the wind, with dozens of two-colored butterflies scattered for a moment.
