146. Divide spoils?

After successfully defeating the One-Horned Giant Cyclops and a pack of Giant Cyclops, Shiro began to collect loot.

In addition to retrieving eyeballs and Crystal Core from those monsters, Shiro also took the only small horn belonging to the One-Horned Giant Cyclops.

Along with the end of the material collection event, Unseen also returned to Shiro's place and handed over his hunting results.

Shiro only took the Giant Cyclops eyeballs, for the Crystal Core, Shiro let to Unseen consumption as a snack in replenishing the Aura that had been lost.

"Let's go back."

After retrieving the material, Shiro invites Unseen to get out of the Cave. They will take Ume back to the Cave to check the loot that the Giant Cyclops have.

Unseen nodded, and they walked out of the cave leisurely.

Ume hid behind a large tree while continuing to look at the mouth of the Cave. He knew that the white-robed man (Shiro) was strong, but he was a little worried. Facing that many enemies, it was definitely not easy.

Ume never took his eyes off the mouth of the Cave, even he intended to enter as well. Yet he still remembered Shiro's eloquence, so he could only spy from a distance.

Suddenly a voice rang out in Ume's ears, he looked at a white-robed man in the state without the slightest injury.

"Thank God you're okay."

Seeing Shiro's return, Ume shed her tears. Then Ume jumped up and hugged Shiro tightly.

"I thought you were okay, because." said Ume with a hiccup.

Shiro trembled back at Ume's embrace, yet he still hesitated.

Then Unseen emerges from Shiro's shadow and crashes into Shiro's elbow. So forced Shiro to return Ume's embrace.

Shiro could only see Unseen returning into his shadow with a mocking smile.

"Review you later! " threaten Shiro in his mind.

Then Shiro rubbed the back of Ume who had been hugged. "It's okay, it's all done."

"really ?" ask Ume.

Then he saw her hand that was still hugging Shiro. Ume instantly became embarrassed, her cheeks flushed red. Quickly, he immediately let go of his embrace.

"Yes, if you don't believe me, let's follow me inside."

Ume wiped her tears and then nodded. He followed Shiro into the cave.

Just midway, he saw a corpse of a Giant Cyclops lying just like that on the ground This is a masterpiece of Unseen.

"Here you do it?" ask Ume.

Shiro shook his head, "No, this is my Battle Pet."

Then Unseen is seen coming out of Shiro's shadow. He then stood on Shiro's shoulder and faced Ume. Unseen then made a pose showing off muscles like mimicking the movements of bodybuilders.

"Do you want to take it?" bargain Shiro to Ume about the body of the Giant Cyclops.

Hearing Shiro's offer, Ume shook her head, "No need. It's all yours."

Since no one wanted it, the corpse of the Giant Cyclops was left just like that. They continued their journey back to the cave.

When he arrived in the cave, Ume closed her mouth in surprise. He did not expect that a monster that could slaughter their team, would face such a tragic situation right now.

Ume then felt a hint of fear when she saw Shiro.

"Let's follow me to their spoils of war."

Ume nodded. He followed Shiro to the back of the small hill at the end of the cave.

Shiro takes Ume to the back of the One-Horned Giant Cyclops bed, where the spoils of war they collected.

"Please take what you need."

Shiro's words startled Ume. He thought there would be a demand for results or something.

Seeing Ume being silent for a long time, Shiro asked Ume: "What's wrong?"

Ume woke up from her reflection, "It's okay. Don't you want it?"

Shiro shook his head, "No, this is not my right."

Hearing Shiro's reply, Ume grew more and more amazed at Shiro. Not only strong, but also kind and generous. Shiro's value in Ume's eyes increased rapidly.

"Wait for what else. Takeit. Don't be too long, it'll be night."

Ume was stunned, then he began to take the belongings of his friends, along with the Skill Book. He intends to give all this to the families of his murdered comrades.

Shiro led Ume out of the cave. After exiting, they saw the environmental conditions that began to darken.

Seeing the conditions were approaching night, the two began to look for a strategic place to spend the night. Although staying overnight in the Cave was a good place, it was impossible for them to live in a place filled with corpses and the smell of blood.

Finally night came, and they had found a temporary place to settle down. After putting up their respective tents, they began a simple barbecue to fill the stomach and slightly warm the cold of the night.

When they eat, they don't talk much. But Ume decided to keep the night. Shiro refused it.

Their debate was quite long, but after giving various reasons, Ume finally agreed with Shiro's opinion.

After the debate, the atmosphere turned cold again. They started doing their own activities.

After cleaning their bespoke equipment, Shiro returned to where the campfire was and saw Ume who had fallen asleep nearby.

Seeing Ume's smile while asleep, Shiro unconsciously followed the smile. He then lifted Ume's body and took her to his tent.

Not to forget he enveloped Ume's body with a blanket in Ume's tent. Following which, Shiro exited Ume's tent and returned to near the bonfire.

The previous moments touched Shiro's heart. An old memory that he wanted to forget, is back again.

As he lifts Ume's sleeping body and takes her to his tent, Shiro recalls carrying his sleeping daughter in his arms while he was at work at home.

At that moment, he also saw his little princess smile as he fell asleep. At that time, Shiro, did not Alvin stop his work and carried his daughter to his bedroom.

This simple thing, brings memories for Alvin or Shiro that are hard to forget.

"True to say, as far as people go, they never forget their families."

Shiro muttered softly, then closed his eyes which started to glaze over. He then sighed softly and glanced at Ume's tent.

From Ume's calm Aura, Shiro had already confirmed that Ume was actually asleep. Maybe because of his previous fight and exhaustion, which made Ume quickly fall asleep.

Then Shiro took out the Orb he got from the One-Horned Giant Cyclops.

"Let's try."
