SOLAR & The Specialists
Reagan Nice Sujiwo Narendra

"Where's your bike?" Solar asked as they entered the deserted small alley.

"Leave it there. Must be broken by them." Reply Reagan.

"Your back is okay? I heard you call me, and then I saw them attacking you from behind." Solar continued while grumbling, "A coward once messed up so."

Reagan did not answer. They don't even talk to each other for long enough. Reagan took him out into alleys and slums. Solar in Selena's body continued to look at Reagan's hand which had not once let go of his hand since they had left the scene of the fight. He noticed the contrasting color of their skin.

Every now and then Solar saw Reagan grimacing with pain in his back. Unbeknownst to Reagan, Solar secretly channeled his energy to treat Reagan through their physical touch. Reagan was not aware of it. He only felt the pain in his body gradually reduced as they headed home.

They stopped at a small fruit stall located in the middle of the village. The seller is tidying up the merchandise, getting ready to close the store. Reagan took off his hand which made Solar somewhat disappointed that his energy channel to heal Reagan was cut off. Solar saw Reagan pat the fruit seller on the shoulder.

"Sir."

The fruit seller turned his head, making Solar frown inexplicably. Father in human language means the same as when Solar calls Selena's father as 'Papa'. So this is Reagan's father, Solar thought with a faint smile. Now he noticed the appearance of the fruit seller more closely. She is much older than Papa Selena who still looks fit in her early fifties. Solar guessed the age of Reagan's father about sixties when viewed from the amount of gray hair on the head.

Especially clothes!

The clothes fathers wear on this planet are very diverse. If Papa Selena is always constantly wearing a neat suit or t-shirt when at home, another case with Reagan's father. Reagan's father was wearing a white, hollowed-out t-shirt and a checkered holster wrapped carelessly. His body was slightly bent as he stood upright, making him appear much shorter than Reagan. His skin color is very dark, plus wrinkles here and there, making his face look saggy. Now Solar knows where Reagan got his dark skin from.

The man who was called 'Father' by Reagan was shocked when he saw his son's face. Solar remembers Reagan's face being hurt by the many bumps he got during the brawl. My face looks sad and anxious. He touched Reagan's face, checked to make sure his son was okay. Reagan lied by saying that the wound was from a fall from a bicycle.

"Reagan bring a friend, sir." Solar faintly heard Reagan call it. Now the attention of both turned to Solar. That attention Solar caught as a code to get him close. "This is Selena, Reagan's classmate." Reagan. Solar held out her hand.

He shook his outstretched hand with a smile. From his reflection from both eyes, Solar realized his appearance was no better than Reagan even though he was not injured anywhere.

"You guys okay?" I don't know how many times you asked that.

Solar simply shook his head without daring to say anything. He was sure Reagan didn't want his father to know about the commotion. Reagan certainly didn't want to see his father worried. To divert the topic, Reagan wanted to help you close the stall, but was immediately prevented.

"Take your friend home. I'm almost done." Said Father. Despite the doubts, Reagan finally complied . He led the way home.

The house referred to by the Father is very different from the house that for several days has been inhabited by Solar. The house was much smaller than Selena or Christian. The Reagan House has no high fence, but only one floor and roof of ordinary tiles. In the yard depends a lot of orchid flower pots of various colors and shapes. There is a rattan couch placed on the terrace as a seat.

Solar noticed every little detail right up to the corner of Reagan's house. At first Solar thought that all the houses belonging to Selena's friends at school were not much different from Selena's, it turns out not everyone was as lucky as Selena. Once again, Solar is fascinated by the diversity that is here.

"Come in!" Shamefully Reagan invited Solar in after he opened the front door. Reagan knew Selena was from a wealthy family, so he was ashamed to let the girl come to his small house. But seeing the condition of the two, Reagan had no choice but to go home and bring Selena. "Please sit wherever you want. Consider it your own home." Reagan paused for a moment, "I mean, don't hesitate! Even though my house isn't as comfortable as your house, just get used to it." Hurry further.

There is no living room. Reagan's house consisted of a central room containing a small dining table and four wooden chairs, two bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. There was a large pot placed in the kitchen. Solar immediately knew that the jug contained cold water. Unknowingly he swallowed. Reagan took a glass of water from the dispenser and gave it to Solar.

"I'm gonna change for a minute." Reagan then disappeared into his room.

The moment of the disappearance of Reagan directly used Solar to swallow the water in the glass served. He only realized that he had been living for a few days without enough water. Unsatisfied with the glass of water, Solar headed for the dispenser, but he found it difficult to get the water out of there without wetting the entire floor.

Finally he decided to approach the jug. The jar was made of red clay. Solar touches its smooth and cold surface. He smiled happily as he felt the natural cold water inside. The size of the jug was large enough to hold ten gallons of water. Without a second thought, Solar immediately opened the large tray that the Reagan family used to close the pot. As soon as he saw the abundance of water inside the jug, Solar immediately put his head into it.

Reagan came out of his room and was shocked to find half of Solar's body in the jug. He immediately rushed to pull Solar out of there. Solar's stomach was drenched as the two fell on the floor. Solar looked at Reagan annoyed. He still did not want any water left in the jug. He still wants to drink a lot.

"What's wrong with you? Why did your head get into the jug?!" Reagan did not believe.

"I'm drinking."

"Why not drink from a dispenser? The jar was filled with raw water for cooking." Reagan stood up to look at the almost dry contents of the jug. "You're crazy, huh?! So much to drink yourself?!" Reagan's spray is no better. "Look at your body all wet, tuh!" Half-running he entered the room and came out shortly afterwards while throwing clean towels and t-shirts at Solar. "Quick change in my room!" Reagan's tone of voice was still snapping, making Solar unwillingly obey.

Solar spent a lot of time drying his hair while looking at the contents of Reagan's room that was not much spacious. Reagan's bed was on the floor. The mattress is so soft. The blanket is also fragrant. Next to the bed was an old and weathered wooden cabinet. It's not much either. There was only the school uniform hanging, while the other clothes were neatly folded on the shelf. Reagan had a special closet for his books. Even the closet is bigger than the closet. The study table is neatly arranged. Reagan loved to study and read many books. That impression was obtained by Solar when he saw the entire room Reagan. After taking a look, Solar came out of the room.

Reagan was in the kitchen, cooking lunch. Father has come. The old man was busy fiddling with a square object on the dining table. He slapped his hand on it until a sound came out of it. He smiled with satisfaction as soon as he heard the voice.

"That's..what?" Solar can't define old things that aren't in Selena's memory.

"It's radio. He was older than Reagan, so he was often damaged. But it can still be fixed." Reagan's father laughed a little. He hummed following the strange song with the sound of a guitar coming out of the radio.

Solar was glued until the song was over. A tear fell on his cheek. He opened his eyes several times as if he had just remembered to blink.

Smiling at Solar. "Why crying? This is not a sad song." His word.

Solar shook his head, nor did he know why he was shedding tears, something so rare for his species. "I don't know either."

"Do you understand the song?"

Solar was shaking again. "I just found out there's this kind of music." Selena in Solar's memory is not a music connoisseur. He doesn't even like any kind of songs. He prefers silence.

"This song is a Javanese song that describes a person's longing for his lover. Awe of the beauty and beauty of her lover, and of the faithful promise that both of them have made. This is one of my favorite love songs. I like songs like this. Reagan said this song is not an ancient song because it was created by a young man named Dru Wendra Wedhatama. That's why I was so happy when Reagan told me there was this radio channel." Solar fell silent, he still wanted to hear you continue.

"This father is a former court dalem kraton Yogyakarta. When Reagan's mother became pregnant with Reagan, he decided to withdraw from the palace and migrate. When Reagan's mother died two years ago, we moved here. So you should not be surprised if the Javanese culture in Reagan's house is very thick."

"I don't know much about Javanese names." Solar is trying to explain as rationally as possible.

"Full name: Reagan Bagus Sujiwo Narendra." If this one, Solar has memorized it out of his head. "Reagan was the name of the doctor who helped her with her labor. The doctor died shortly after Reagan's Caesarean section was completed. Heart attack. It is thought to be due to fatigue from blasting patients at the time. So in remembrance of his kindness, we gave the name to our son. Be kind, small or big, will always be remembered by the person who received it." He explained with a half-sighted look.

"What's it talking about?" Reagan came with dishes filled with food. The Reagan family's tableware is quite unique to Solar because it is made of zinc enamel. The glasses and plates are white and drawn with red and orange floral motifs. There is rust here and there that adds to the antique impression. Solar endlessly admired him. The Selena family's cutlery is all dull white. It was amazing to see the cutlery of another family.

Solar did not know what food Reagan had cooked since, nor did he want to eat. Since coming to this planet, Solar has not dared to eat anything other than liquid.

"Just explain this to Selena, right?" Mr. grazed meaningfully. Solar returned his gaze with a sweet smile.

"I've seen this at home." Solar pointed at the soup bowl that was still steaming hot. "This is also." He pointed at the white rice. "But others never see."

Father laughs. "It's called salted fish." It helps explain the side dishes one by one. "This is tempeh and fried tofu. While this one is a terasi sambal. Reagan was the best at making sambal. Let's eat!"

Nothing has caught Solar's appetite. He can't eat. He had no organs to digest food like humans. His body is just a single cell that needs water to survive. After some hesitation, Solar finally took the soup.

"Why eat soup? Not as good as the food in your house, huh?" Reagan Cibir.

"I'm on a special diet. My parents are doctors, so they manage my diet every day. If I eat other foods besides those that are set in the daily diet, I can be constipated." Solar lied very well. His experience as an asessor trained him to manipulate others without feeling guilty. He only hoped that the reason made sense, albeit a little.

Reagan and Father no longer bother Solar with questions about food. It's up to Solar to eat what it wants. The important thing is that they provide the food they can afford. They appreciate guests as much as possible.

After the meal, Reagan coded Solar to say goodbye to him. Anyway, there are things they should discuss. He told Solar to visit often if he wanted to know more about Javanese culture or palace life. Solar received it with pleasure, already starting to look forward to the next visit.

"Is your stomach okay?" Ask Reagan.

Solar subconsciously stroked his own stomach. "Why?" Ask back.

"You've drunk a jug of water. No bloating?" Reagan was trying to explain that the Earth was round to him.

Solar shook his head, "The water is fresh. I can't stand not drinking much." This time Solar didn't lie. Reagan mangosteen heard the reason.

"I didn't have a chance to ask you before." Reagan looked at him, "What happened after you turned yourself in to the Principal for setting off the false fire alarm when we were in our tenth grade first?"

Solar frowned, he was busy rummaging through the memory of Selena he stole in order to find out what happened that day. "Ah." He remembered something. "I was scolded all out. In the Principal's room and at home. They called my mom to give a reprimand, but not to punish me for being suspended."

"What did you say to the Headmaster?"

"I told you that they were supposed to do a fire simulation after alarms and extinguishers were set up at the school. My actions at that time were considered a bad form of protest. But thanks to that incident, our school becomes a fire simulation every few months."

"Gee!" Reagan. "I'm goosebumps. After some time in your class I found out that you were very stingy. But you just said a lot. Looks like your annual talk quota has expired." Reagan was joking. This is not the first time Selena has spoken at length to him. Solar did not react. They remained silent for a long time throughout the journey.

"So, how do you know Jambul? I thought your gang didn't like bullies." Reagan opened his voice again after they were some distance away from Reagan's house.

"The gang?"

Reagan nodded then pointed at Solar's face. "You, Mindy, and Christian. You're a gang, right? Even if you look unapproachable and indifferent to the surroundings, your hateful attitude toward bullying is quite often discussed." His word.

"Who's Crest?" Solar remembers the child Reagan meant. Suddenly he remembered the figure of the extravagant-looking boy who had fought with him. "Ah, my brother-in-arms?"

Reagan frowned, "What struggle?" He sneered. "You think that brawl was war? Proud of fighting?" Solar did not like Reagan's tone of voice. He began to wonder why Selena was attracted to a figure full of negative aura like Reagan.

"He said that we must defend the dignity and worth of the school. We must come together to fight injustice. The only way to make that happen is to beat the enemy as much." Solar is explaining. Reagan's response was overwhelming. The guy instead laughed half a snort after hearing his explanation.

"How long have you known Jambul?" Reagan asked sarcastically as soon as he finished laughing.

"Just now."

"The crest is our senior who should have graduated two years ago. He did not enter the eleventh grade and did not pass the national examination. His job is just to bark, brawl, and make a fuss. He's a BK teacher. Time doesn't know?"

Solar shook. "He looks good. I like him because he has the same principles as me. Uphold the justice of the colony, uh I mean, the justice of the nation.I mean the justice of all of us as living beings." Solar is cursed in the heart because of leachability.

Now it was Reagan's turn to shake his head. "Sometimes I feel that the current Selena isn't the usual Selena."

If Solar had a heart, it would have been heart-crushing by then. Expressions change. Both of his eyes almost widened in surprise. Has the disguise been discovered?

"Not in a bad sense. I think there's something good about you. Little." Reagan looked in all directions other than the two Solar eyes. It seems wrong. Unfortunately Reagan was dark-skinned, so the redness on his heated face only looked faint. "I thank you for saving me again. And also.thank you for not telling the truth to you. I owe you again." Reagan said it sincerely.

Solar quietly heaved a sigh of relief. Reagan still doesn't know he's an alien.

Wait up!

"Why don't you believe in aliens?" Ask Solar.

Getting questions that didn't connect so, Reagan could only frown. "Seriously? Want to argue about aliens again?" Reagan was bored.

"You must open your mind wide! The world does not revolve around the earth." Solar still does not want to give up on convincing Reagan that there is life other than on this small planet. "This planet isn't even as big as you think it is." His grunt.

"What?"

"It's nothing." Solar shook.

"Why is this alien problem important to you? As long as you know, the presence or absence of aliens in the world is equally scary, you know!"

"Curbs?"

"If only the earth had a living being in this vast world, imagine how self-sufficient we are! If one day our species is threatened with extinction, who can we ask for help?" Reagan was silent for a moment. "I imagine if it wasn't just us in this world! Do you think all the races that exist will live peacefully side by side? Is there no possibility that an interracial war could break out? The reason can be all sorts. The biggest reason that came to my mind was natural resources. If that's the case, maybe every race in the world can attack each other for natural resources." Reagan looked at Solar. "What do you think? Both are creepy, right? Sometimes ignorance is better."

Reagan's answer seemed to be striking. Without these humans knowing, that is exactly what is happening to the Solar colony today.

"Ear afternoon. You have to go home." Continue Reagan while fiddling with his phone. Solar also has one that belongs to Selena. Unfortunately he could not touch human technology because the objects are usually directly short of every touch. Solar did not want to risk being the center of attention when he made a shortcut to every electronic object he touched. "I ordered a taxi online. Where's your address?"

Solar mentioned his full address to Reagan.

The taxi Reagan ordered has arrived. Reagan did not wait until Solar left or just turned to make sure he got into the vehicle. He went straight home. Solar should feel disappointed, but his disappointment was swallowed round by the feeling of pleasure. Solar was so happy that he spent the day with Reagan. Reagan even invited him to visit the house, introducing him to the figure of the Father who was warm and kind and pleasant.
