SONG IN MY LIFE

SONG IN MY LIFE
Don't call me Uncle !

The beach breeze in the afternoon hit Arnold's body lying on the beach chair, there was an umbrella that shaded over it so Arnold did not overheat.

Arnold finally followed Ezekiel's advice to take a few days vacation in Bali. This time Arnold wanted to be alone. All the dancers, bodyguards, even the two assistants have gone home first. Because with Ezekiel, he doesn't need anything to take care of himself.

The beach behind The Thomson Hotel is somewhat quiet visitors because it is only intended for hotel residents only. That's why Arnold does not need a special disguise to enjoy the beach this afternoon because he is safe from the pursuit of his fanatical fans. All they know is that Arnold Manola is back in London.

As Arnold decided to swim, his eyes stared at the beautiful walking figure while putting both his hands in the pocket of the sleeveless mini jeans he was wearing. As usual, there is a headset. The girl continued to step on the sand as if she did not care about the skin that was about to burn. This time his hair was left alone so that it seemed to dance in the wind.

Arnold got up from his seat. I don't know why she felt so happy to see that girl. It was a coincidence that they met in Bali.

"Fairy.......!" call her a little loud because she knows there's a headset in the girl's ear.

Fairy stopped her steps. He felt someone calling his name. He lowered his headset.

But, who knows him in Bali? Were it not for her grandmother asking, Fairy would never have come here to attend her uncle's funeral. Because he remembered when his mother was alive, his uncle had cheated by carrying away all his mother's inheritance.

"Go, son. They were, after all, the brothers of your late mother" Grandma Anna said with advice Fairy could not refuse.

This afternoon his uncle's body was cremated and Fairy had to postpone his return because he missed the plane.

One of his uncle's children offered Fairy a stay at this luxury hotel because it was close to the airport. Fairy accepted it even though she would rather go back to Jakarta and hug her grandmother tightly.

Fairy's head turned in all directions to look for the source of the voice calling out her name. And he found a tall, athletic figure, wearing a hat and sunglasses smiling at him as he stepped closer to him.

Fairy tried to remember where she had seen the bule man.

Fairy finally remembered.

"Hi Uncle...!" swipe while waving his hand.

Arnold's steps came to a halt and the smile on his face was lost hearing Fairy call him that.

"Dont call me uncle" said Arnold a little annoyed.

Fairy chuckled. His face looked very sweet as she laughed.

"Sorry!" Fairy stopped her laughter seeing Arnold looking at her without blinking with a cold face.

Arnold instantly changed the look of his face from cold to smiling "What are you doing here?"

Fairy frowned "Should I tell you? We don't know each other. Just your name I don't know, uncle!"

Arnold wanted so badly to pull the nose because of his anxiety.

"Hey.paman, don't be upset so dong. The slap is gone when the uncle gets angry" Fairy said and unexpectedly pinched Arnold's cheek.

Arnold flabbergasted. His face was hot and his heart seemed to stop beating receiving the pinch.

"I'm sorry uncle...., it hurts?" asked Fairy with a plain face and decorated with a real sense of guilt.

Arnold this time couldn't hold himself back any longer.he slightly touched Fairy's head.

"Aow...sick knows..!" Fairy grimaced holding her sore forehead.

"So you remember not to call me uncle again. Do I look old in your eyes?" arnold asked as he folded his hands in front of his chest.

"Look, the guy from abroad often looks cute in terms of his age is old. I'm afraid that later the wrong call will continue to be considered impolite. What's wrong with being called uncle. It's a polite greeting"

"I'm not 40 yet.I'm 24 years old now.3 months is only 25 years old. So that uncle's call didn't suit me" Arnold said still in an irritated voice.

Fairy nodded "Alright uncle.eh..." Fairy instantly shut her mouth seeing Arnold slightly glaring.

"Arnold. My name is Arnold Manola...!" arnold said as he extended his hand.

Fairy welcomed the hand. "Ok Arnold, nice to meet you again. Now, let me go..!" Fairy pulled his hand but Arnold held it back.

"What else is it?" ask Fairy astonished.

"Let's talk. I just happen to have no friends and I see you're on your own."

"My tariff is expensive if you want to talk to. 1 hour 500 dollars" said Fairy a little ngawur because she really wants to be alone at this time.

"I'll pay 1,000 dollars."

Fairy stunned. Bule's not kidding, is he? 1,000 dollars if multiplied by the current rupiah rate, means he can have a lot of money.

"Are you kidding?" Fairy can't believe it.

Arnold opened his wallet. Take out 10 100-dollar bills and hand them over to Fairy.

"If our conversation is more than 1 hour, I'll add it"

"But..what do we talk about?" asked Fairy a little scared. He imagined the bule in front of him would talk something perverted.

"I am a good man, remember? I just want us to talk about ordinary things. For example, about music."

"All right." Fairy followed Arnold's steps towards the beach. The two sat facing each other.

"You want to order a drink?" ask Arnold.

"Can. I want orange juice"

Arnold took his phone and called the hotel to bring them drinks and snacks.

"Are you a native Indonesian girl?" arnold asked, starting the conversation.

"Yes. My mother is Balinese and my papaku is Javanese."

"But when you look at your skin, you don't seem to be a real Indonesia"

Fairy chuckled "Maybe I'm just lucky to be born with skin like this."

"Do you like music?"

Fairy nodded. "I like all the music. Pop, Rock, R and B. I like Oppa Korea the most. They're handsome and cute"

"Don't like Western singers?"

"Like. But only a few. Because honestly, I do not like the behavior of those who often change partners, often wear clothes that lack material. I'm not judging but this is my opinion"

Arnold nodded "If the singer is a boy?" arnold asked curiously because Fairy didn't know him at all.

"Oh yes..besides the music what else do you like?"

Fairy looked at Arnold with a hint of suspicion "You know a lot about me?"

"This is a normal conversation. Not the usual interrogation questions the police ask"

Fairy nodded "Alright. I like to write poetry. You alone, what do you like?"

"Singing, playing guitar, writing songs and swimming"

"Waw. Like a singer yes." said Fairy then gulped the juice.

Arnold looked at the girl in front of him. This girl in front of him really didn't know him.

"The juice is good." Fairy looked at her watch "Everything else she wanted to ask? You've got 30 minutes"

Arnold laughed "I told you I'd pay more if we had a long conversation."

"Well, I'm lucky today. "

Arnold's heart trembled at the girl's joyful smile.

"You're in college?"

Fairy nodded.

"What degree?"

"Master of business administration"

"Waw...want to be a career woman?"

"hey are. Women need to be able to revive themselves. Not just dependent on her husband, as great or as rich as her husband."

"How old are you?"

"It's starting to look like a cop!"

"I told you how old I was, so there's no harm in asking me how old you are"

"I'm not asking you how old you are"

Arnold bit his own lips as he was very anxious with the girl in front of him. Fairy seemed to be smiling happily to have Arnold upset.

"Ah.paman, just so angry"

"Don't call me uncle"

"OK..ok..!" Fairy raised her hand sign of surrender. "I'm 24 years old"

"We are the same? But in my eyes you're like 20 years old"

"Don't be fooled by a cute face"

The wind blows again. Wrapped their faces, flying Fairy's long hair.

Arnold secretly took his phone and photographed Fairy looking the other way.

They go back to talking. Arnold had to laugh every now and then because Fairy was so good at making funny stories. Arnold also sometimes had to grumble when Fairy called him uncle.

"Well, it's late. I have to go!" Fairy stand.

"Why don't we just have dinner together?"

Fairy rubbed her stomach."I'm already full. Look, all the snacks you've prepared, I've spent them"

"But I have to add money to you. We talked for almost 3 hours"

Fairy took the money that Arnold had given her out of her pocket.

"Nih...ku give it back again....!"

Arnold shook his head "That's for you."

"I'm not a matre girl!"

"I don't think you're matre"

Fairy couldn't hide her joy. "Well..dream did I last night huh? Right anyways? When exchanged for rupiah, this is a lot of money."

"That's yours. Thank you for accompanying me to tell a story. You don't want me to add it again?"

Fairy shook her head. "No. This was more than enough." he immediately stepped up with a very happy feeling. A few steps later, the girl turned around.

"Thank you, uncle..!" he immediately ran away leaving Arnold glaring at him.

Arnold finally smiled to himself as he looked at Fairy who disappeared leaving the beach.

The sun is already sinking at the western end. Accompanying Arnold's steps that leave the beach. When he arrived at the hotel lobby, the man patted his own eel.

"Dumb me...!" guman Arnold is upset.

"What's wrong?" asked Ezekiel his cousin who just came out of his room.

"I forgot to ask for his phone number" Arnold said still with an annoyed face.

"Whose phone number?"

Arnold looked at Ezekiel. He decides to keep his unique story with Fairy.

"My new assistant's phone number. I'll go to the room first.."

"Bring and we'll have dinner together!" ezekiel said before Arnold disappeared from the elevator door.
