Mama Miranda sighed deeply and told her that Lady had just returned from Arkana's home. Hearing his wife's story made Papa Alan sigh. They don't want to let Arkana go as their son-in-law. But how else, Lady's already too big a mistake made them self-conscious not to expect Arkana anymore.
One month had passed, the Lady's gestational age had already entered eight months. Lady went through her pregnancy with an endless sense of regret. Dandy who knew what the Lady felt up to this point could only be patient in the face of the woman's attitude.
While waiting for the Lady to come back good to him, Dandy chose to approach himself to Mama Miranda and Papa Alan in order to give blessing to him to marry Lady after Lady gave birth later. "I promise I'll never wish you Lady again, Om. For my mistakes in the past I cannot change them. I can only improve my life to be better." Dandy told Papa Alan that afternoon.
Papa Alan just kept silent by throwing his face to the side as if reluctant to look at the father of his grandson.
"Whatever the child Lady is carrying right now is my biological child, Om. Please give my blessing to me. I will take responsibility and strive to provide a decent life for the Lady."
"What kind of decent life do you mean? By living in the rented house that you now occupy, is that it? Can you please my daughter with your current job? And just so you know the business that the Lady has been putting up all this time is a gift from Arkana. Can you please a Lady like Arkana later?" Papa Alan's Cibir.
Dandy endured the pain of his heart hearing Papa Alan's sneer. "I can't be sure. But I can work on it." Reply Dandy sure.
Both of Dandy's hands were clenched tightly under the table. There was already too much scorn that Papa Alan had given him. He was aware of his flaws but his pride could not be stepped on just like that.
"Then what about Om? Can Om be sure if there are still men who want to accept Om's daughter after divorce from Arkana besides me? Good men out there must think if you want to marry a woman like a child Om!" Dandy delivers a raw blow to Papa Alan.
This time it was Papa Alan's two hands clenched under the table. Dandy is right, it will be difficult for Lady to find a good man considering the divorce that happened to her daughter because of Lady's own mistakes and the mistake was fatal.
"I've been kind enough to accept all Om's scorn on me. But don't blame me if I change my mind irresponsibly to Lady."
Papa Alan held back the growl in his heart because Dandy gave feedback to him which left him speechless.
"I'm going first. I will still try to be as responsible as I can and as I want." Dandy said then left the house of Papa Alan leaving Papa Alan who was pensive to think about his words.
