Are you pregnant?
"Emila.." said Ms. Selvy softly with a surprised face that could not be hidden.
Emila who could see the shock on Bu Selvy's face was just silent as she approached Ms. Selvy. "Mom Selvy." Emila said as she reached out to Ms. Selvy.
Selvy also received Emila's hand.
"Have you been waiting a long time?" Emila asked after sitting on the chair opposite to Ms. Selvy.
"Not too long. Emila, it's been a while since we met." Said Mrs Selvy.
Emila smiled hearing that. "Yes, I'm sorry Mila for not visiting Mom's shop anymore." Emila felt bad. After stopping working at Ms. Selvy's store, Emila only once came to visit the store. After that he never came again because he was busy helping his mother sew.
"No problem, I know you must be busy helping your mom sew at home." Answer Miss Selvy.
Silence enveloped them because Emila no longer answered Ms. Selvy's words.
"Oh yes, Mila, there's something I want to ask you. I hope you're not offended by it." Miss Selvy was hesitant.
"What is that, Mom? Just say it." Answer Emila.
Bu Selvy's gaze was immediately fixed on Emila's stomach. Seeing where Ms. Selvy's gaze went made Emila guess what she wanted to ask her.
"Are you pregnant with Emila? I see your stomach growing at this moment." Ask Mrs Selvy.
Emila developed her smile. "Yes, Mom, I am currently pregnant and my gestational age is four months." Emila answered without hesitation.
"What?!" Miss Selvy was surprised to hear that. "You're pregnant? Have you been married before?" Ask Mrs Selvy.
It was even more shocking that Ms. Selvy heard it. How not, during her work with her, Miss Selvy finds out that Emila is a single woman and has never given her a wedding invitation. Seeing the confusion behind the shock of Bu Selvy made Emila explain if she married simply and only invited the RT chairman and two witnesses.
Hearing that of course made Miss Selvy more surprised but felt reluctant to ask further to Emila because she thought it was the privacy of Emila and she had no right to interfere.
"May your pregnancy run smoothly until delivery later." Said Ms. Selvy with a changed face smiling at Emila.
"Thank you, Mom." Emila replied smiling.
"So another reason you stopped working because you were pregnant? Know that I'll give you a gift for your future son." Said Mrs Selvy.
"Mom always bothered for me. I feel bad." Emila said.
"Emila, you know, not if Mom wanted a grandchild all along. And because at this time I can't get a grandchild from your child so it doesn't matter if you give affection and gifts to your child?" Said Mrs Selvy.
Emila was silent for a moment.
If only I had known if this child was my biological grandson. Emila said in her heart.
"Mila?" Selvy called Emila's name again because Emila was silent.
"If you want to think of my child as a grandchild, of course it doesn't matter. I would be very happy if Mom gave my child affection and attention, especially consider him as a grandson of Mother herself."
