Ch 103's. The Death God Dragon Chain
The faces of Lifei and Zhou Cheng stiffened as they sensed the tyrannical atmosphere and the frightening aura of slaughter from Zhang En, especially Zhou Cheng, the look on his face darkened. Ignoring Lifei, Zhang En slowly walked over to Zhou Cheng.
Seeing Zhang En approaching, Zhou Cheng woke up from shock, “It turns out you do have some skills, but I think it's better this way because after this it will become more interesting. If you die from just one move exposed to my style, I won't be content to kill you." Bloodthirsty looks in Zhou Cheng's eyes, a huge sword twirled rapidly above his head, releasing a mysterious power.
His strength was strengthened by this mysterious power and Zhou Cheng's Qi energy rose dramatically, increasing to a third stronger than before. This was Zhou Cheng's innate martial soul ability that could increase the battle Qi of its owner.
Zhou Cheng's body was filled with brilliant beams of sword light, turning into a gigantic sword and launching another attack towards Zhang En aimed right above Zhang En's head and shot out at full force.
Zhang En glanced at the gigantic sword that was hurtling towards him, but he did not receive Zhou Cheng's sword attack directly. With the sword in hand, Zhang En disappeared from his spot and dodged the attack with ease.
Duaaarrrrr-!
A thunderous explosion came from where Zhang En stood within a split second after he disappeared. Looking back, the gigantic sword left a hundred-meter trail into the ground destroying the cliffs that were all around the place. The entire small hill that was there shook violently causing a five-meter-high dust curtain to rise upwards.
Seeing that Zhang En was able to dodge his second attack, Zhou Cheng was annoyed, "You should not dodge if you have the guts!" Before Zhou Cheng's voice ended, the figure in front of him disappeared.
Zhang En suddenly appeared within a short distance of several meters of him. Zhang En swung the sword-shaped energy blade without the slightest hesitation.
Those few blades of sword energy turned into numerous chains and enveloped the entire area around it emitting an extremely overwhelming death aura.
The Death Dragon God Chain!
Zhou Cheng was startled, his body jumping to the side wanting to dodge, but even though the response was quick, he saw that no matter which direction or angle he was heading, he saw that, there was no way to escape the chain and continue to chase after it.
Suddenly his movements slowed down, Zhou Cheng lowered his head and looked at the chain by chain encircling his body like a hell snake. A cold energy that felt like it was coming from hell seeped into his body which attacked his body like it was being exposed to poison.
A-akhh!
Zhou Cheng's shrill screams made the night atmosphere even more pronounced.
Lifei was still standing in the same place. Everything happened too quickly, the confident Zhou Cheng had just destroyed a few small hills, yet in the blink of an eye, the situation was reversed. Lifei quickly calmed himself down and was about to help Zhou Cheng as all the chains continued to be wrapped around him from every direction, piercing through Zhou Cheng's body.
Lifei, who was about to help became stiff. The time around him seemed to stop as well.
Zhou Cheng's eyes were rounded and widened while bending his head to look at his already hollow body filled with blood. After that, he lost all his strength and fell to the ground.
"You!" Zhou Cheng pointed towards Zhang En with a pushy look.
“Sixth Junior Advisor!” Lifei shouted, directly running to Zhou Cheng's side. Zhou Cheng's reply spewed out a mouthful of blood and splattered about Lifei's entire outfit, his head drooping lifelessly as he fell to the ground.
Lifei wiped the blood off his face which felt sticky and felt a little warm.
“Sixth Junior Sister, Sixth Junior Sister!” Lifei called out non-stop, but Zhou Cheng would not give any more responses.
The sound of Zhang En's footsteps made Lifei flinch. He turned to look at Zhang En, the calmness in his eyes had already been replaced with fear and vigilance. He understood Zhou Cheng's strength well, and this young man easily killed him. Not to mention him, even his Master, the Patriarch of the Shadow Ghost Sect would not have you done it.
"You, what do you want?" Lifei boldly snapped at Zhang En even as he stepped back.
"Are you not curious about my relationship with Deng Guangliang and Du Xin?" Zhang En scoffed.
"Actually, the entire Sky Mage Sect and Blood Licking Sect, are currently under my control." Zhang En continued.
Lifei's eyes looked blank for a moment, his eyes widened in shock as his true understanding flashed in his mind: “You, you mean.!”.
The new ruler of Death City was Jiang Tianhua from the Blood Licking Sect, this young man said that the entire Blood Licking Sect and the Sky Mage Sect were under his control, didn't that mean that the real ruler of Death City was this black-haired young man? Lifei thought it was impossible.
When the Nine Demons Sect, Patriarch Hu Han was rumored to have died, the sudden change of ruler of the City of Death had caused the forces in the surrounding cities to send people out to investigate the matter. His teacher, the Patriarch of the Shadow Ghost Sect also felt that something was amiss. Now, this black-haired young man in front of him seemed to be saying that everything was arranged by him.
Lifei could not digest this fact in his mind.
“City of Death is completely under my control, next is Forbidden City.” Zhang En added, “That's for sure. Now, I give you two options: one, submit to me, or two, die.” When Zhou Cheng attacked, Zhang En had decided, however, his next target was to conquer the Forbidden City.
Lifei's eyes silently stared at Zhou Cheng's corpse which was already lying lifeless on the ground.but, if he didn't give up, then…!
Fifteen minutes later, Lifei finally resigned and his sea of soul was branded by Zhang En. Zhang En was relieved when all the soul marking process was completed, Lifei's presence would be beneficial for his next plan in conquering the Shadow Ghost Sect.
After that, Lifei shared everything he knew about the situation of the Shadow Ghost Sect honestly and did not hide any information regarding it. An hour later, Lifei ended his sentence.
Zhang En nodded after hearing the information from Lifei clearly.
"What are you two doing in this Desert of Death?" Zhang En asked.
“We were assigned by Master to look for someone named Fan Heng.” Lifei replied, "This person has a piece of the map left behind by a God Tribe master from ancient times."
"The map left behind by the God Tribe master from ancient times!" Zhang En was surprised.
