Swordsman the Wanderer

Swordsman the Wanderer
Ch 290's. The Holy Land of the Elf Race (1)

“Brother, what's your name?” As the two female Elves left, a voice rang out behind Zhang En.

As he turned around, Zhang En was shocked, as the person who greeted him was a young man. He did not expect to meet another human being here.

"Call me Zhang." Zhang En casually replied, then walked to the small bamboo hut he had provided for him.

The young man followed Zhang En into his bamboo hut, with a wide smile on his face, "I am Zhu Yu, from Vermillion City, a disciple of the Zhu family."

In this Wind Eye Continent, there were about a dozen or dozens of cities ruled by the Human Race.

And this Vermillion City was one of them, under the control of the Zhu Family. The human power that was able to govern a city, it was a testament to their strength.

“Oh, do you have a problem with me?” Zhang En asked after Zhu Yu's introduction.

On the contrary, Zhu Yu felt surprised, she did not expect others to show indifference after hearing her background.

“Hehe, no problem anything, I just want to be friends with this brother. If you have free time tonight, we can go look around outside together.” Zhu Yu added with a smile, "In addition to me, there is Sun Hong from the Sun Family and Qiu Xinshi from the Qiu Family."

The Sun Family and Qiu were considered as powers with status equal to the Zhu Family.

"No interest," Zhang En replied bluntly.

The place they were currently in was the territory of the Fairy Forest, going for a look was proof of Zhu Yu's hidden intentions.

Not to mention, they were strangers. In such a situation, people like this were most likely just looking for scapegoats, to save them in case something happened.

Zhu Yu's face didn't look good at Zhang En's blunt rejection, “Because it is like that, I won't bother you anymore. If you visit Vermillion City in the future, I will definitely show you hospitality as the host."

Throwing a veiled threat, Zhu Yu flicked her sleeve and directly walked out of the bamboo hut where Zhang En was.

"Wait!" Zhang En suddenly held him back.

Zhu Yu turned around looking a bright smile on her face, “Did the brothers change their minds? This is the right attitude, a wise person should know how the current flows."

Zhang En ignored Zhu Yu's words, raising his arm with one finger pointing to Zhu Yu's shoulder, so that a light pierced through his shoulder.

Zhu Yu shouted as her body was thrown in the air.

"I won't kill you this time, now get out of my sight!" Zhang En warned him.

Although he would rather not get involved with a petty character like this, he was not someone who liked to threaten people at will as they did.

Zhu Yu rushed up from the ground, her eyes filled with fear. He did not expect the person he had just met today to be so strong, he himself was still a medium-level Saint realm expert.

As he stood up, Zhu Yu did not say a word, rushing back to his own hut.

When Zhang En could not see her again, anger flashed in his eyes, swearing inwardly, "Look, just pray that you never appear in my Vermillion City!"

Zhang En threw the incident away from his mind by sitting cross-legged in the hut and entering into meditation.

The day gradually became dark.

The Fairy Forest under the darkness emitted a mysterious aura. The silvery moonlight reflected by the night canopy resembles the ripples of water in a calm lake, blurring the line between reality and illusion.

The Life Crystals from the source of life were, in fact, useless to Zhang En. But not the case with the closest people and their subordinates, it actually brings abundant benefits to them.

If he could cure the Tree of Life, ten pieces of Life Crystals would help extend the lifespan of his subordinates since among them had yet to break through to the realm of the God Hermit to increase the strength of his Sect.

Wanting to practice for a while and not wanting any distractions, Zhang En spread his spiritual awareness, everything within a ten thousand meter radius was clearly reflected in his mind.

After purifying the eight primordial divine dragons, his spiritual energy increased by leaps and bounds as time passed.

The night passed quietly, the moonlight slowly fading as the sun rose.

A brilliant morning sun shone on the Fairy Forest, emitting an aura of vitality that looked lifelike. The refreshing fresh air made one feel alive to be in the Fairy Forest.

Shortly after sunrise, a group of Fairy Race arrived at the cluster of bamboo huts to lead Zhang En and a few others to the Holy Land of the Fairy Race.

"You!"

An astonished voice rang out as someone exclaimed just as Zhang En walked out of his bamboo hut.

Looking at the source of the voice, the leader of the group was none other than the female elf she had met three years ago, named Lin.

Even though Zhang En did not know what status this Lin had in the Fairy ranks that had just come, he guessed that the position of this woman was not low, either, at least it had a high position to lead the thousand Elves army that surrounded it the last time they met.

“Nona Lin, what is it?”

A male elf approached Lin and asked as he looked at Zhang En with a suspicious look with a trace of hostility in his eyes.

"It's okay."

Lin recovered from his shock, quickly covering up his mistake, "Let's go."

Three years ago, even while facing off, their skinny Elder named Juntai was not the opponent of this young man.

And the male elf beside him was one of Elder Juntai's disciples.

With a group of Elves led by Lin, the twenty people who were in the bamboo hut were then ushered into the holy land of the fairy race and told to wait in the periphery of the Holy Land of the Fairy Race.

"Everyone, please wait here while I'll report to our Elder," Lin spoke politely as he looked towards Zhang En before he turned around and left.

Traces of doubt flickered in the eyes of the disciple Elder Juntian who noticed Lin's strange actions.

He glanced at Zhang En while wondering why their captain was so polite to this Human Race.

Zhu Yu was standing behind the group, staring at Zhang En like a poisonous snake locking onto its prey.

Beside Zhu Yu were two young men, perhaps these were Sun Hong and Qiu Xinshi whom he spoke of yesterday.

The two also looked at Zhang En's back with the same hostile gaze.

On the other hand, Lin entered the tall tree tower inside the sacred ground to go tell Elder Juntai that he had brought a group of people and was waiting outside.

After a slight hesitation, he added, "Elder, the young man who defeated you a few years ago who fought with you also came here."
