The dragon chained on the altar had noticed Zhang En's presence and anger was seen exploding in its red eyes. A threatening roar came from his throat, instantly flooding the entire hall with an overwhelming murderous aura.
The Demon Dragon was born to fight and continue fighting. Bloodthirsty was their natural part, therefore, the fierce murderous energy surrounding him was part of his being, not only directed at Zhang En.
Although this Dragon was chained and sealed on the altar using a mysterious talisman symbol by its Master Ren Wokuang, the brutal and killing aura it emitted still made Zhang En feel depressed.
Zhang En scanned the surroundings of the altar. His sight finally fell on the left corner of the altar where a very small array of ancient characters were inscribed there. In the first glance, Zhang En was able to guess that this line of text was left behind by his Master, Ren Wokuang. The text stated that if he could purify the Demonic Dragon, then he would have the bloodline of the Demonic Dragon, training the Dragon Technique would also increase tremendously by only doing half the effort, then he would have to do so, that way he would be able to develop at an unimaginable speed.
The message also explained the Dragon Ibis blood purification method, as well as how to seal it.
Reading carefully from start to finish, Zhang En's gaze once again turned to look at the chained Demonic Dragon, with just a gentle stomp at his feet, he leaped onto the altar.
As he saw Zhang En approaching, growls rang out continuously from his throat, his arms and legs struggling against Zhang En under the sealing chain. However, Zhang En noticed that the more the Dragon struggled to move, the tighter the chains around it.
Zhang En relaxed a little after seeing this. He then executed the Dragon Technique according to the method left behind by Ren Wokuang on the altar. The ten fingers were bent into claws that pierced through the chest of the Demonic Dragon, aiming directly at the heart. A powerful suction force came from Zhang En's palm and he watched as a strand of dark red-coloured mist-like energy formed into a pillar and flew towards him.
Zhang En quickly sat in a meditation pose, absorbing all the dark red energy into his body, slowly refining it, guiding that energy to flow into his blood.
The Demonic Dragon's struggle became more and more ferocious, the roar of a jet of rage continued to resound in the hall as the deadly aura it emitted grew more and more intense.
Time passed by half a day.
Gradually, the Demonic Dragon's struggle weakened and stopped, its body slowly drying up. At that moment, Zhang En's body was shrouded in a dark red mist while meditating on the altar. His body started emitting a deadly and killing aura at the same time, similar to a Demonic Dragon coming from hell. The subtle aura that faintly began to condense became denser around Zhang En.
From time to time, scales of bodies similar to Dragons appeared on Zhang En's body, and even two short horns were faintly visible on his forehead.
It had already been three days when Zhang En suddenly opened his eyes. In the depths of his eyes, a powerful Dragon Qi surged and rumbled, the deep crimson energy fog enveloping his body was sucked into his body at once until nothing was left.
Zhang En had only moved a moment later.
To his delight, refining the bloodline of the Demonic Dragon not only made the Dragon Qi within his body become purer, even his strength was increasing.
"This is...?!" While Zhang En was dissolving in his excitement, he suddenly saw something and was shocked when he saw the dragon scales enveloping his body. He quickly stretched out his hand upwards to touch his forehead and was surprised to find that two short horns protruded out above his head.
Arguably Master Ren Wokuang who was automatically considered as his teacher did not mention in the writing earlier that his outer appearance would resemble a Dragon after he refined the lineage of the Demonic Dragon according to the method he left behind the altar.
Judging from a human point of view, the Dragon's features were too terrifying to describe.
Zhang En tried everything he could think of, trying to restore his appearance back to its original form. After a few hours, he finally found a way to manipulate his Dragon-like appearance.
His outer physical appearance was like a Dragon was due to the Dragon bloodline within Zhang En's blood, so he only needed to suppress the Dragon bloodline in his blood. Moreover, suppressing the Dragon bloodline did not affect the cultivation of his Dragon Technique, instead allowing him to continue feeling the benefits of the bloodline at the same time.
Similarly, if he wanted to change his appearance, all he needed to do was release the pressure on his bloodline.
Finding a solution to his unexpected new appearance, Zhang En breathed a deep sigh of relief. The chained dragon that was purified by him had lost all vitality and life essence, leaving behind a dried corpse on the altar.
“The Purifying Demonic Dragon can increase the cultivation speed of the Dragon Technique. I wonder, if I purify more of them, can it speed up the progress of my cultivation?" Zhang En thought about this.
The Demonic Dragon bloodline contained innate Dragon qi, so refining the Dragon bloodline would help Zhang En breakthrough in Dragon Tektik, this was more effective than swallowing a hundred Divine Dragon spirit pills.
Zhang En jumped off the altar, landing right in front of a room. Blood red crystal ores were stacked on the ceiling in this space. This crystal ore resembled the Dragon Blood Crystal that Zhang En had, but this crystal seed emitted a more deadly and sinister blood red color.
Zhang En was astonished, as he felt that the red crystal contained an energy that exceeded the Dragon Blood Crystal he had, even purer. The energy within the seed emitted a faint dragon aura, which was extremely beneficial to the cultivation of the Zhang En Dragon Technique.
'The Dragon Realm Blood Rock!'
Zhang En saw some small character writing on the wall. Again, it was the inscription left behind by Master Ren Wokuang.
With this Dragon Blood Stone, he believed that the Dragon Technique he practiced would be able to improve unhindered.
Zhang En moved all of the Dragon Blood Stones into his spatial ring and then he headed to the other room. In some of the other rooms he visited, he found a few grains of spirit pills, rare potions, and, and some of the skill books and cultivation techniques from other sects that Master Ren Wokuang had gathered over the years.
However, there were two things that weighed heavily on Zhang En right now - the Dragon God Grass and the safety of Hong Xiaofei.
Zhang En then flew out of the Dragon Gate treasure room and again closed the heavy door like before. Quickly, Zhang En left the Heavenly Phoenix Mountain and headed towards the Treasure Oblast region.
