Take Me To Your Heart

Take Me To Your Heart
Chapter 68 - Healing the Heart of Oma

Renatta and Regan have returned home from Regan's parents. In the apartment, Renatta looked glum and thought of something.

"Why Nat?" ask Regan.

"Can Oma you like me?" Renatta asked Regan.

Regan put both her hands on Renatta's shoulder and looked into Renatta's eyes gently.

"Oma is rich in my nature, although in the beginning, I do not like you. I have liked it for a long time too. Oma would be like that. So, don't worry too much."

Renatta sighed then put away Regan's hand and lay down on the sofa.

"You want to sleep, in the room, not on the couch. Your body will be sore."

"Yes, I'll move" Renatta replied.

Regan could only shake his head and let Renatta stay in his position. He went to his room to clean his body.

Later that night at the Regan family home, Mommy Jessie invites Oma Lina to talk to each other. Just about to start talking, Oma Lina instead charged first.

"Jessie, mama doesn't think much of you. Why could you let Regan get close to a bad woman. Not only that, even his family has many problems and does not fit in with our family. Anyway mama doesn't agree that Regan's with Renatta. Her mom agreed that Regan was with Amanda."

Mommy Jessie sighed and grabbed Oma Lina's hand to hold it.

"Ma, there's nothing wrong with Renatta. She's a good woman. Maybe his past was bad. But, we are walking in the future not in Ma's past. Wearing the Renatta family I do know, but why? Do not put too much value and dignity Ma. Mom will be tired by herself. The important thing is that the heart is calm, the child is happy, it is more than enough. Can't you see how Regan loves Renatta? How is Regan's gaze on Amanda who's changed no longer love? So don't force something Regan doesn't like."

"It looks like what Amanda said was true. You, Arthur and Regan have been brainwashed by Renatta. That's why you can support Regan and Renatta."

Actually, Mommy Jessie was very upset to hear the name Amanda touted especially it seems that the woman was deliberately brainwashing her mother to dislike Renatta.

"The one who was brainwashed here was my mom. Mama was brainwashed into not liking Renatta. Try it, see and observe carefully what Renatta is like. Don't just hear from other people's explanations."

"Where's the other guy from? Amanda is not someone else. She already considers her own grandchild."

"Yes, I know. But I don't consider him my son. He's just someone else. Who suddenly interfered in Regan's relationship. Regan didn't interfere in Amanda's relationship with Devan, even though she was heartbroken."

Mommy Jessie tries to remind Oma Lina to be aware and not easily eaten by other people. But, because the trust is already very full to Amanda, want to be flanked also difficult.

"Renatta was the one who interfered in their relationship. Renatta's third at Amanda and Devan's wedding."

Mommy Jessie smiled wryly.

"And mom believes all that? Then if he felt Renatta was his third person, he should still be sad right now? Why does he seem to be after Regan now? Regan was wasted. Nevermind Ma. I don't want to talk about this anymore. Want mama to defy whatever it is that Arthur and I will still marry Regan and Renatta."

Mommy Jessie went from the living room to her room.

Oma Lina seemed to think about the sentences spoken by Mommy Jessie. But still, he had more faith in Amanda.

The next day, Renatta came back to Regan's house. He comes alone without Regan. He wanted to try to melt Oma Lina's heart with his hard work not with Regan's help. He also brought Oma Lina's favorite cake.

Although somewhat jutek, Oma Lina still received the cake brought by Renatta.

"Oma, I know Oma doesn't like me. But allow me to get close to Oma."

Oma Lina did not even respond to Renatta's remarks. But he didn't go from there either.

"Does Oma like comedy shows?" renatta asked but was not answered by Oma Lina.

Though unanswered, Renatta turned on the television and watched a comedy show.

"When I was a kid, I used to watch comedy shows with my dad. We always laugh together."

Oma Lina was still silent. But he also watched the comedy show.

While Renatta was laughing, Oma Lina still stayed cool with her flat face.

"She's funny, funny from where? The jokes are too crisp. If that's the case, I can too."

"Oma doesn't like it? Yes, I changed the television broadcast to Oma" said Renatta.

"Not to."

This Oma Lina was indeed very similar to Regan, haha. He said he didn't like it but wanted to watch it.

"In addition to the comedy show, I also have a recommendation for another comedy show Oma. Want to watch the sitcom? Comedy drama? Or something like this?"

"It must be all crisp like this. Your spectacle is not classy. Very different with Amanda who likes reality shows famous artists."

"My life has been complicated, it's been bitter Oma. Watching an artist's show is useless. Comedy shows are more helpful. I could easily laugh, and subconsciously, my sadness and all my troubles disappeared instantly. If Oma doesn't like it, it's okay. I can't force something on someone, can I?" renatta said with a smile.

Oma Lina turned her face away. Then Renatta took the initiative to go to the kitchen to cut the cake.

"I went to the kitchen first Oma to cut the cake. Let Oma watch it while eating cake. Oh, yes, even though Oma doesn't like comedy shows, I'll still tell Oma the recommendation of shows that I find very funny."

Renatta mentions the various comedy shows he has seen, as well as his comedy dram and sitcoms. Afterwards, Renatta went to the kitchen.

In the kitchen, Renatta cut the cake to medium size. Mommy Jessie took one of the pieces and put it in her mouth.

"Are you trying to melt Oma's heart?" ask Mommy Jessie.

"Yes Mom. But it seems difficult. Oma likes Amanda too much. Even so, I won't give up."

Mommy Jessie smiled and patted Renatta on the back.

"Mommy sure, you can make Oma Lina like you. Mommy loved it the first time she saw you."

"May you Mom. Then I'm going to Oma again, Mom."

Mommy Jessie nodded then stared at Renatta's departure from her sight.

Renatta came to bring a plate of cake that had been cut into pieces. He put it on the table.

"It's not funny, switch to the comedy you said it was."

"Oma's good."

Renatta also changed his television broadcast to a comedy show that he recommended earlier.

"Eat the cake Oma. If watching it must be more exciting while nyemil. Especially with the same people. It must be more like watching it."

"You're so noisy!"

Instead of being angry or upset, Renatta smiled. This reminded him of Regan. Where he who is always noisy scolded by Regan. But even so, Regan still listened to his talk.

"Sorry Oma. After all, if you just watch silence it is not exciting Oma. Look at the comedian, funny clothes. Where is his sinless facial expression, hahaha."

"Damn! It's noisy!"

"Sorry, sorry Oma."

Renatta and Oma Lina watched for almost 6 hours in the living room. When it was late afternoon, Renatta decided to go home.

"I'll go home first, Oma. Regan was afraid of nyariin," he said, then kissed Oma Lina's hand.

"Don't forget to watch Oma. I know Oma doesn't like it. But instead of watching the show mending artists watch the comedy show Oma. Oh, and Oma."

Renatta left and left the Regan family home.

That night, Mommy Jessie asks about Renatta in Oma Lina's eyes. Because almost all day, Renatta accompanied Oma Lina to watch.

"Where's Renatta, Ma? It's good for Regan."

"Suit what? He's so noisy. What try, when I'm watching a comedy show. Not very classy as the show. Where's crunching all that's funny."

"Yes, his name is also Ma's business. My mom needs entertainment too. If every day watching the show of artists and rumors that there will be high blood mama rumat. If watching a comedy show is innately happy, happy," said Mommy Jessie defended Renatta.

"Just tomorrow if Renatta's here again, mama's gonna be in the room. Let's just let him be alone."

A slight smile emerged from Mommy Jessie. Unknowingly Oma Lina wishes Renatta had come back to their home. It's a good start.
