Temple Girl

Temple Girl
Chapter 18 Start Open

The long nights that Chiharu went through were so bad lately, it was already about seven days after releasing the demon. The girl can no longer sleep quietly, Mr. Zhi did not miss when he said that the creature would kill Chiharu when he fell asleep.

Then tonight he woke up again due to the bracelet given by Mr. Zhi, because the demon tried to kill again. "Ah I woke up again, could not let me sleep last night just quietly?" the girl was upset.

The creature there also growled hatefully while staring at Chiharu as if the girl was the source of her suffering, even though the word that just now was indeed suitable. "I'll kill you." he said steadily, firmly and never changed.

Rather than a fox demon, this man looked more like a cat demon that always hissed furiously when something did not match him. "Right, I don't know your name. What's yourname?" the girl asked with a smile adorning that night.

The creature ignored Chiharu, throwing away his face not wanting to speak. "Alright, if you don't want to talk. Let me be," the girl gave up on making the demon friendly to her. "My name is Chiharu, I used to be a poor boy."

The girl glanced slightly, watching the look on the man's face before her. Still looking to throw away my face and not wanting to know, "I had a death once and it was really bad, my weak self when it was discarded and unwanted. Experiencing death alone.

However, there was a creature who saved me. Gave me a much better life, making me as strong as I am today. Although in the end," Chiharu chuckled as she told the sad story of her life. After all why he had to tell a creature that even half-dead wanted to kill him, was absurd.

"What happened in the end?" then the voice really made Chiharu surprised, he stared at his interlocutor.

Chiharu clung onto the strands of her fallen hair, feeling pleased that at least the demon was not ignoring her. "I'll tell you what happens if you tell me your name." Chiharu's sad voice turned witty again, not expecting anything. However, it seemed fun to tease this man a little.

"Gin, my name is Gin." it felt like Chiharu wanted to cry when the creature mentioned its name, like a cat that started getting close to humans and no longer bit. "Then what happened in the end?"

It seemed that the man was so curious that he did not realize that the two of them were now hostile, who would have thought that they could have a conversation like this. Chiharu smiled, trying to stretch out her hand about to touch the white manes that felt so smooth in the hand.

When his movements did not get any response, Chiharu again brought her hand closer. Sighing comfortably as her fingers were intertwined by the stealth's white manes, "I finally killed the man who saved me." and the conversation ended in a long silence until the morning.

Incredibly the demon no longer attacked Chiharu and showed a hint of her vileness, making the lonely girl a little comforted.

However, it seems Gin's malignancy only occurs on certain nights only. Like for example this morning, where Chiharu was doing work as usual the demon was brazenly trying to attack him from behind. Grateful Chiharu was able to dodge, saying the words of the spell he used to make the creature petrified.

Chiharu's happiness in the morning disappeared already when he saw Gin again hissing at him, "You're tamed just last night huh." Chiharu's lips resumed his work, continued his work, let the man stay in the same position without being able to do anything.

"Alright I won't kill you as long as you release the seal that shackles me, I promise I won't do anything." that morning, Gin uttered his first longest sentence to Chiharu.

The girl turned her head back, looked at the demon and then released the power of her spell. Gin is free but not satisfied, "if I could." complained Chiharu raised both shoulders, a sign he himself did not know how to cancel. "Mr Zhi told me, there are two ways that he knows to release the god seal. First when I die, second when I don't become a god anymore."

Then Gin's expression now turned ghastly, gloomier, and lost light. "So whatever the way is, I have to kill you!" the man was ready to rush forward to attack Chiharu again, the girl stretched out her palm to stop whatever the activities of the creatures before her.

Then Chiharu shook her head, "As you know I am a human, I am only a substitute or can be said to be just a temporary God. Since the previous Earth God disappeared, wait until the newly created Earth God then that time you will be free."

Chiharu again shook her head not knowing, "Come on, the longest of my life is only up to seventy years. Let's just say that seventy years you've been playing around with me, it's as bad as staying with me." decak Chiharu said, as if being close to him was the most disgusting thing.

Not answering anything, Gin went to turn his body around. Followed to feel upset because it has no way out, his freedom for thousands of years must disappear— trapped in this small quail as a servant anyway. He was a demon that possessed the highest level of strength in his clan, living already over five thousand years. Then now? herself as the servant of a weak girl who sucks.

How could reality so cruelly plunge him, take away his freedom, and make him serve a God. "Silly!" his anger could not hold back his emotions. Gin could not wait that long, he would let the temple girl off guard and kill her. Sure, pretending to be tame is a surefire trick to manipulate women.

Damn, even though he had tried to poison the girl. Why could the poison be realized, he should be able to swat two flies together. It sucks, after the woman came to his life, he felt like nothing was right.

That afternoon became quite a sunny day, the sunlight that was about to rest the silence spread its yellowish-colored radiance. Feeling warm and so dazzling, Chiharu sipped her tea at one of her favorite spots. The back terrace of the temple with a large cherry tree shaded underneath, rolling a cloth to sit under it was Chiharu's favorite.

From a distance he could see the white mane flying even with the owner walking closer, the golden eyeball looked calm without anger anymore. The disappearance of Gin this morning made Chiharu wonder where he was going and only returned in the afternoon, but the question he kept tight as Gin sat beside him under the green cherry tree.

Fu deftly poured the tea into one of the cups, after which he moved more than twenty steps away from Gin. Su was no different from Fu who immediately moved away from the fox demon, trembling in fear and shuddering in horror.

Both of them were in a long silence, and from one of them no one was going to say a word. Until finally again Chiharu who opened the topic in the afternoon there, "forgive me." said slowly, staring at the puddle of green tea in his cup.

Gin glanced at her with his golden eyeballs, looking at Chiharu who had suddenly turned into a friendlier and no longer annoying. "It was my fault that toyed with the seal of the god, but did you know that Lord Zhi would lock you up in a sky-covered prison without freedom?"

Chiharu smilingly observed the change in expression of the man beside her, "Where did you know about it?"

"I heard Mr. Zhi talking to Fu and Su, even though I didn't mean to save you. But isn't what I'm doing better now?"

Gin sipped a delicious green tea in his mouth, "Stay that I can't go anywhere, and stay in this snack until you die later." the voice so cynical that jerked Chiharu, the voice, the girl smiled as if she had not been hurt at all.

Chiharu got up from her seat, staring at Gin who was shorter than her as the girl stood up. "It's true that you're going to live in a quail, but I never said that we're going to stay in a quail. Tomorrow I'll leave." as Gin's face showed an expression asking the girl continued, "You forgot I'm a God, of course giving a blessing.

"Because you are my servant, of course, must come with me." and a big smile fell on the girl's lips, walked into the temple and left Gin alone.

It seems that life with the girl was not too bad, a thought that should have never appeared, in the end appeared in Gin's mind. The man shook his head and immediately threw out that crazy thought, cursing himself for having dared to think of such horrible things just now.
