Temple Girl

Temple Girl
Chapter 27 Implied

On that morning Chiharu was a little flabbergasted, but due to his high self-esteem he tried to hide the expression as the white mane moved lightly following the gust of wind. The sun's yellow eyes rolled at Chiharu who was soaking wet from her morning ritual, as if unperturbed the girl cleared her throat to melt the atmosphere.

"You're back." said Chiharu entering the temple, water often dripping from his hair, face, and entire body.

The day was not yet bright, the sun was still down shyly and the morning dew accompanied by fog was still thick at that time. And a red hue extended to Chiharu's ears, guilt tucked in because he realized his outrageous attitude last time. The girl should have realized that a creature like the mad fox demon that had entered the temple with her was unlikely to worry about her. Chiharu will ask after she changes clothes.

The man did not make a sound and waited for Chiharu quietly–unlike usual when he was always angry and growled dislike–until when the girl returned he smiled thinly because Gin also seemed to want to say something to him. Chiharu's black mane was still wet, but it wasn't a big thing for her until she now sat down opposite Gin the man.

Gin closed his golden net for a moment, he took a breath as if he had prepared something. "Our conversation will be serious for some time to come." his voice sounded so serious.

"The Demon King is rumored to have disappeared from his quarrel."

The two held their breaths as the information was being passed on, Chiharu waited. Moments of time was very slow on a gloomy morning without the sun, either because of the effect of her cold wet hair felt stinging from her back. The god seal in the shape of a strange pattern was painful, as if it was reacting to the creepy news that had just come.

"And the Demon King was once my ally, until now where I was the servant of the God. Maybe the disappearance was to look for me." The man's jaw tightened to hold back the emotions that were starting to flare up, whether it was despair or something else.

The girl seemed to have understood the direction of this conversation, her black eyeballs rolling fearlessly. Staring at the most dangerous creature that could have killed himself at any time when he was off guard, was funny when the man was now warning of the gripping danger. "I understand, and it seems like the biggest guess is that the guy was right?"

Gin nodded, leaving the girl in great confusion. "I'm going back to the old temple, it looks like we've had enough here.

"After all my business is done, I will never disturb the darkness of this world. I will just carry out my duty of becoming an Earth God, answering people's prayers and making it happen."

The man did not reply he just fell silent, a second until the next second until finally the golden ball flashed. "Don't you think that I'm capable of taking out the Demon King?" it was not a question, but rather a statement; that Gin said he was stronger than any other creature.

The sun slowly rose, trying to melt the frozen atmosphere there. The light penetrates the open window tendrils, even Chiharu was reluctant to ask that where Gin got the source of the information. The girl somehow just wanted to avoid the problem after she realized that she was not as strong as she thought, she was weak and she did not want to die before the new Earth God was born.

In the end the girl shook her head reluctantly, "no need. I feel that it is useless, after destroying the Demon King then what? To be the next Demon King?

"Had I been reluctant to interfere again in the affairs of others, I would live quietly and wait until the next Earth God was born. And at that very moment, you will be free from my servant."

Then the conversation was over, Chiharu too this time obeyed the man's order not to interfere and returned to his old temple and Lord Qi a long time ago. It felt like Gin's existence somehow made the atmosphere again feel like before, when Mr. Qi was still beside him.

On that day it seemed like Chiharu and Gin were leaving right then and there to return, the two of them were busy packing the meager items. Putting it on the sturdy white horse that was grazing, it did not take long even when the sun was not at its peak even Chiharu had finished packing and was preparing to leave.

It's just that it's not a matter of name if it doesn't approach despite being avoided though, Zhen is seen from the temple steps walking casually and approaching Chiharu who is ready to be on his horse to go. His wondering face was clearly imprinted on Zhen's face, staring at Chiharu begging for an explanation.

The girl inevitably felt bad at her heart excessively, she smiled clumsyly to cover up the bad taste and tried to explain. "I'm sorry Zhen, it seems I can't accept your offer to take care of the Palace's temple. I have a task I haven't finished yet." she said, trying to sort out a nice word to hear.

"That's it, what a pity. Why go so suddenly? We've only met as old friends, but you've wanted to leave." The face was made so sad, maybe if Chiharu didn't know the fact that this man might just be the Demon King he would be sad.

Chiharu descended from the white-bladed horse, the sword already draped from under his robe. Putting up a standby stance if Zhen really wanted to attack him, "forgive me, I'll send you a letter." Of course he wouldn't be able to.

Although he had spoken so even though the sad face did not disappear, his black mane also moved through the wind of the season that had begun to change. No wonder the air has become so cold lately, autumn is coming soon. "And I want to show you a very big palace!" even sulked it like a child.

And the conversation is interrupted when Gin again appears among them like an uninvited guest, insolently he pulled Chiharu–'s arm and dragged her away to ride Shiro the dashing white horse. The man just wanted to get away from the strange man there, the temple where it was sealed was better than being close to the strange creature.

Then the voice blew following a very strong wind, without warning but heard by any creature. The voice was so cold, sharp, and full of danger. Birds were reluctant to chirp in the cloudy morning, the animals hid themselves behind fear.

And the voice said, "when you were on my head, let's see if you can take care of your little girl."

Chiharu could not stop shivering in horror as the strong wind and the sound inside blew on his body, and after that gripping time Zhen was completely invisible there. Disappearing without even sparing an existence at all, the two looked at each other for a moment. Unable to withstand the terrible air that had come.

The two stopped to rest, Chiharu took out her food supply. It will soon be dark, they will have to get out of this forest before that because spending the night in the forest is the same as surrendering yourself to death. The forest seems so friendly, but not at night. Night is when predators hunt their prey, giving the tree claws to mark its power.

Then no doubt if the demons and monsters also come out at night. And the forest was a battlefield, so both of them rushed to spur Shiro to immediately get them out of the forest. Grateful they were both on time to find the nearest village from there, planning to stay overnight because Chiharu really hated sleeping on the ground.

Easy enough for Chiharu to get a place to stay, he tells the village chief that she is a blessing shrine girl. Until the village chief immediately gave them both a place to stay for the night, showing a little miracle was enough for the village chief.

"Fraud!" gin's taunts on the sidelines of Chiharu's work bless the village chief's house, inevitably the girl snickered.

Elbowing Gin's stomach, which was now following her, the man coughed softly as the girl's energy accompanied by spiritual energy made her a little painful. "I'm trying to get where we live, but what's your reply." the girl scowled in annoyance until when they were escorted to the room, Chiharu's face still wasn't so good.

Especially after learning that the two of their rooms were not separate, Chiharu was getting annoyed. Asking the host would be considered impolite and ungrateful so Chiharu did not comment anything, with an annoyed face she pulled her bed away from Gin as far as possible.

"Don't kill me for tonight." please Chiharu in a annoying and mocking tone, the man did not want to budge until he pulled his mattress to the far side until it stretched a wide distance between them.

Gin turns his face away, following the anger of Chiharu for no apparent reason. "I'm having no taste in killing you, if you're a little pretty maybe I'd be interested in killing you."

The girl was getting so upset that she preferred to roll around in her blanket, ignoring Gin's words that indirectly said she was ugly. Damn it, the man was not even more handsome than Master Qi bravely mocked Chiharu. It is not self-conscious that Chiharu is only interested in her white hair, because of course it reminds her of Mr. Qi.

Long time he daydreamed of Mr. Qi and all his greatness, until a voice re-awakened himself to the cruel reality that was following on all sides of life. Bringing him suffering that either awaits or even middle he lived–Chiharu is not sure. "At least I can defeat that Demon King if he hurts you, and also–" a long pause after that. Until drowsiness comes to Chiharu, bringing her into the dream world brings sleep to her human body.

"Thank you." as soon as the sound was heard, a lost murmur was swallowed up by the night.
