That Day I Became A Daughter Of The Demon Lord

That Day I Became A Daughter Of The Demon Lord
Episode 29's

This morning, Edgar was in a very bad mood.

He did not touch his bread at all, only drank a cup of tea while reading a book. This was the first time Edgar had brought his book to the dinner table. Usually he always leaves his books and all his important letters on the desk. What's with this creature?

"Papa, why don't you eat the food?"

He turned his head, closed the book and put it on the table. "I'm full."

That answer.uhhh sucks.

"Papa Tumben once brought a book to the dinner table. Is this an important book?"

Whether using any magic, the book instantly disappeared from the table. "It's not that important."

Aku bertaruh, pasti itu buku penting.

"alright. By the way Princess Viona invited me to tea at her palace. Can I go, pa?"

He did not answer immediately, instead looking at both of my eyes sharply. It looks like I asked for permission at a less than appropriate time.

"Ahh, of course papa can forbid me. I won't force you to leave if you don't give me permission."

"No, go. I won't ban you."

I stood up, showing a happy face. Though I was sure that Edgar would not let me go because of my crazy grandfather who was after my life. "really? Is there a condition?"

"Humm.." he thought for a moment, after which he said, "Bring Rekta with you. Don't forget to wear the rose necklace I gave you."

"Yes! All right, I'll take Rekta and put on the necklace." I ran, hugged him with a smile. In addition to saying thank you, this was necessary to make Edgar's mood a little better. "Thank you, papa. I love papa."

He just kept quiet, not replying. Well, usually so too. He was just silent, not replying to the sweet words I said to him. Just stroked my head gently and smiled faintly.

"You hugged too long."

"Wait on! 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30. Alright." I let go of my embrace, then gave a brief peck on her cheek. "I've seen a movie. He said by hugging someone for more than 30 seconds, he'd feel better."

Edgar frowned. "What is a movie."

Stupid me...

"Ahhh, that.film it..I mean..uhh, an entertainment."

Edgar did not ask further. He started applying chocolate jam to his bread and started eating. Thankfully, his mood improved. What made her mood bad? Did something happen that threatened the kingdom? But if that did happen, he wouldn't let me out of the palace environment.

Whatever happens, I hope he gets out of his troublesome ugly mood soon.

I was born in the fourth month, when the spring breeze made almost all the flowers in the garden bloom. The fragrant aroma of each flower blends together. This park has been like watered by hundreds of liters of room fragrances.

I sat on one of the benches under a large tree. Today's lesson ends sooner than usual. Madam Amber wanted to visit the Athelion Palace, to meet Arthur to talk about something I should never know. For sure it was something important, because he would not miss the time to teach me because of trivial things.

Papa's gone, Mahesa's gone, Madam Amber's gone too, the commanders are busy training new soldiers.

Ahh, I forgot that I had him.

"Rekta, I'm bored, let's talk about something."

Yep, my personal bodyguard.

But there's no answer. There was only the sound of wind.

"Rekta, I know you're near me. I'm bored, let's talk about something."

Still no answer. Where is that creature? Didn't Edgar have ordered him to always be by my side? Ahh, looks like he should be forced to come out.

"Uhhhh sick, aaah!!!" I pretended to be in pain, holding my stomach down.

Suddenly, a footstep came so fast to me.

"Daughter, what happened to your stomach?"

Gotcha.

"It's okay" I said with a smile, then continued, "I want you to accompany me. I'm bored."

"But Princess—"

I closed his mouth, looking at him fiercely. "This is part of the task. You can't let me get bored of always being alone."

He just kept quiet, chose to sit next to me and took a deep breath. "Alright, I don't mind either."

"If you don't mind, why do you avoid it so often when I want to talk to you?"

He just scratched his nape, looking the other way. "I'm not very comfortable with someone."

"So you're not comfortable being close to me? What makes you uncomfortable? Does my body smell bad to smell?"

"Ahh, that's not so Mr. Putri—"

"I just wanted to say thank you for teaching me to dance."

Now he was silent, looking down with a guilty face. "I'm sorry, Princess. I'm just not so comfortable being around someone when I'm human."

"Why?"

"Okay, maybe because I'm used to being a dog."
