Qing Yue'er did not know whether to feel angry or sad, which she obviously was not willing to drown with her own feelings at the moment. He was more wary of what was waiting for him at the bottom of the abyss.
He tried to use his flying ability, but he couldn't. This place completely restricted one's movements. There may be no other way but to live it.
Suddenly a stinging heat sense came smashing into Qing Yue'er's body. He immediately coated his body with spiritual qi.
Even though it slightly reduced his sense of heat yet he couldn't possibly continue to endure in this manner. He had to quickly find a way out or he would die out of energy.
Qing Yue'er's body just fell on the ground. The ground in that place was not brown like the ground in general, but rather dark red. More like the color of the soil that was already coated by dried blood.
No trees grow. Just a barren land without life. The surprising thing is that there is no fire in this place, only a lump of coals that are everywhere. The fire did not bring out any fire at all. So the fiery red color seen from above comes from the coals.
Qing Yue'er patted her slightly dirty white clothes. His body felt a little sore but it was lucky that it was not fatal. He glanced around. It feels very gloomy.
He swallowed his mouth nervously. What the fuck? Originally he was still in Kunpeng Lake, then turned to the Mysterious Bamboo Forest, and now he ended up in this strange place. Why is everything so unexpected?
"Ying Jun, do you know what this place is?" qing Yue'er asked Ying Jun.
"Of course I know," Ying Jun said in an arrogant tone. He deliberately did not tell Qing Yue'er, because he wanted the girl to ask first.
"Why not say it from the beginning? Tell me quickly, what is this place?"
Ying Jun rolled his eyeballs before finally answering. "This is the Demon Gorge, its location is not far from the Soaring Dragon Gate."
Qing Yue'er's two eyebrows instantly furrowed. Devil's Chasm? Soaring Dragon Gate? Why did hearing his name make his heart tremble? Could it be that he had arrived in another higher region?
Sensing Qing Yue'er's confusion, Ying Jun immediately felt pleased. At least this time he had a role to take part in helping her. Finally without delaying any longer Ying Jun explained about the Devil Gorge.
The world is inseparable from black and white or things smell right and wrong. Same with the creatures in it. Cruel creatures called demons have always existed, even though the population is becoming extinct.
The demons came from the unknown underworld. They were trying to get out of the underworld to reach this vast outer world. After they came out, chaos exploded everywhere. There are demon races that eat humans, some are just making chaos.
The world is full of frenzy. The gods listen to the complaints of mankind. They intervened to eradicate the existence of the demon race. Of course, that made them bound by eternal hostility.
The demon race had the ambition to rule this world. The only way is to eliminate the gods. Since then, war has been inevitable.
The war that took place millions of years ago lasted for hundreds of years. The gods fought an all-out war just to eliminate the demon race. Abominations committed by the race have made humans extinct and suffer, if left alone then the balance of nature will be affected.
But the truth is always above everything. The war was won by the gods. The demons who had not escaped were immediately captured and put in prison in a deep abyss. That's what ended up being the Devil's Gorge.
The abyss of Devils was not just one, but rather there were several and scattered in many places. One of them was the place where Qing Yue'er was currently.
Listening to Ying Jun's explanation made Qing Yue'er feel astonished. There are also stories about gods and demons. Although it was a heavy conflict, Qing Yue'er however felt quite interested.
Two powerful entities such as demons and gods are certain to be equally powerful. One is the ruler of the underworld, the other is the ruler of the upper world. How great is that war?
"Then what about the Soaring Dragon Gate? What's that place?" qing Yue'er asked.
"The Soaring Dragon Gate is the entrance to the Celestial realm, the realm where the Xie clan is located," Ying Jun replied.
"Celestial Nature? Come on, tell me more!" ying Yue'er. He always felt impatient when he heard about his clan.
Ying Jun again explained things to Qing Yue'er. As a divine beast, he had passed through many realms, including the Celestials he had once visited. Telling him that made him feel a nostalgic feeling.
The Celestial Realm was higher than the Tongxuan continent. The level is of course very different. In that realm there are several fiefdoms divided into isatana-palaces. Each palace had a different ruler.
Qing Yue'er stroked her chin. He's thinking deeply. The more he understood then the more he felt that he was just a very weak little ant.
The higher a realm the human will have higher talent as well. He wasn't sure if he could be on par with them or not
"Then are there other realms above the Celestial?" qing Yue'er asked with anticipation. He wanted to know the limits of human power.
"There is," Ying Jun replied without hesitation.
Qing Yue'er was a little surprised. "What's that?"
"As your mother mentioned before. It was the Heavenly Court." Ying Jun said calmly. But if you look further then his voice sounds a little vibrating.
"Stop discussing this. Quickly think of a way to get out of here. This place is too dangerous" Ying Jun said to divert the conversation. It was enough that Qing Yue'er knew about this. In the future the girl will know by herself.
