I just looked at him, dumbfounded.
What did this old bat say?
"What's? You're not serious, are you?" I managed to interrupt.
He just tilted his head in response, "Why not?"
"B-for one thing! I'm human! Are humans even allowed to have humans in this kingdom? Also, I have to make sure my family is okay and tell them that I'm still alive!" I argued.
Hearing this, the old man fell silent as he pondered a little before he spoke again.
"Living here doesn't matter as long as you use my name. As for your parents ... Boy, is that an absolute necessity to meet them in person?"
This time it was my turn to look.
"I mean, I don't think it's necessary for me to meet my parents in person. Even though I miss them, the most important thing is to know how they are and tell them that I am fine if they are too" I replied.
"Then come with me tomorrow morning; be outside the manor at six in the morning, on time."
Before he turned to leave, I stopped him, "Wait! I don't understand why you want me as your student. Also, you sound very hasty. Can't I just go back home and spend a little time? with my parents before coming back here to train under you?"
"I want you to be my student because I see your potential. Nak. Countless people asked me to accept them as their disciples, from the rich to the poor, from the young to the old. But do you know how many? has it come this far? There ain't! These new generation brats bore me. Just because some of those rich noble brat parents thought their child was special, they thought they were qualified to ask me to be their mentor"
I just furrowed my brows, not knowing where Grandpa Thania would go with this.
"… You are different. I know you have an amazing talent in mana manipulation and only Gods know how but you have better techniques than me, but that is not the reason why I decided to teach you. Boy .. I need to ask you. How are you a Beast Tamer?" Any kind of entertainment that was on his face earlier disappeared just like that as his sharp facial features emitted a deadly gaze.
"Beast Tamers? What are you talking about?" I'm really confused. Although the day was getting late and the elder had already told Thania to sleep, it seemed like this conversation would not end soon.
"Let's go back inside and talk there" he said, leading me into the living room with a couch and a roaring fireplace.
While sitting on the sofa, he continued. "Let's start from the beginning. I assume you know that which animals have which cores are like humans, elves and dwarves right?"
I nodded at this.
"really. Just like mana ferocious beasts, humans, elves, and dwarves had qualities in the core where they were different from their own race."
He picked up a piece of paper and started drawing charts.
Water, Ice
Plants
Earth – Gravity
Magma, Metal
Fire – Lightning
Wind – Sound
"These are the four basic elements and their higher forms. Higher form—Es, Metal, Lightning, Suara—can only be controlled by magicians who are proficient in certain basic elements, namely Seviant. Here lies the quality of different races. …" He wrote a brief description under each race
The humans.
Human magicians have the ability to manipulate all four basic elements and are the only race capable of possessing a Seviant who can control the higher forms of their proficient elements. They also have aberrations that can even go beyond the four basic elements, such as healers (Almitters), making their cores the most diverse.
Fairy/Elf.
Elf Witches could only manipulate water, wind, and earth but with a much higher affinity. We also have special properties different from our race that allow pure-blooded witches to control the plants. However, the elves had no deviation that could manipulate water, wind, and earth into higher forms.
Dwarves.
Dwarf magicians could only manipulate earth and fire but, like elves, they had a much higher affinity towards both elements. Their distinctive feature lies in the fact that all dwarves are capable of forming and bending metal, while some Seviants have a special ability to manipulate earth and fire into magma, something that not even a human Seviant could do, let alone an elf. However, they can only manipulate those two basic elements and, like elves, do not have the ability to control the shape of the higher basic elements.
"Wait a minute, I don't understand any of this. Why can't humans manipulate plants and magma?" I asked while reading her useful info chart.
"Good question. Only elves can manipulate plants, which are the only living forms of nature, because our lineage is so tied to nurturing elements. Only the Dwarves can manipulate magma and metal because, like us, elves, their bloodline makes them extremely adept at construction elements."
I began to subconsciously rub the base of my nose as my brain spun.
"OKAY. I understand the difference between the three races, but what does that have to do with me being a Beast Tamer? What does that mean?"
"I'll tell you Bad boy!" he barked.
“Mana beasts are different from the three humanoid races because each species has their own special characteristics. The list of everything will be endless so I will give you a simple example. Witches, adventurous or not, are classified: E, D, C, B, A, AA, S, SS class. This classification was also the same for which beasts were as well. The Sonic Hawk. They were Class B Beasts that had incredible speed while flying. They all had an affinity for the wind and the sound of this Attribute was innate in their mana cores. Regardless of their affinity, if this mana core is taken and given to humans or fairy/elf magicians who specialize in the wind element, it will be, their training would go a lot faster than just cultivating the mana of their environment but that's it."
I impatiently waited as the older Victor gulped down a glass of water before continuing.
"…However! When where animals reach A-class or higher, they have the ability to convey their 'will', or ability to be more precise, to one person. I called you Beast Tamer before because you have a mana beast. But at the core where you are and from my estimation, not just any will but the will of an S-class savage beast if not an SS-class. I can only sense this because I am also a Beast Tamer, even though the will of that beast that I tamed was an AA-class beast, Shadow Panther."
So that's how he can be so fast amazing.
Seeing the expression of revelation on my face, Elder Victor simply chuckled. "Yes brat, I can bully you that bad by utilizing my Shadow Panther will. But I only use about 50% of my speed." He winked at me.
He can go faster?
Everything started to make sense; the strange and faint marks that appeared at my mana core after Silvana gouged it out and how she said my future progress would depend on understanding her strength.
My eyes shed tears as I lowered my head, trying to hold back my tears from falling.
"You must have been through a lot, son. I won't force you to answer, but the reason why I should guide you is because you don't have much time." He said in a warm but firm voice.
"What do you mean?" I snorted, looking at him.
"The strength of your mana core is too strong for your immature body to handle. Let me ask you this, son. Have you recently felt a burning pain emanating from your mana core." The look on my face definitely confirmed his suspicions as he nodded solemnly. "If you don't learn to control your new mana core, it will destroy your body." His eyes looked straight at me, dispelling any doubts I might have.
"…"
"I understand. It seems that I have no choice but to be under your guidance. However, I guess I won't be able to focus on training without making sure that my family is okay and they know I'm safe too. You mentioned something about that before?" I said, trying to control my emotions.
"Haha! Just call me Grandpa from now on. My first student should at least be able to call me that. And who knows, maybe I'll be your grandfather-in-law." He gave me another blink.
I just scratched my cheek, my cheek was hot from embarrassment.
"Sleep now, boy! Tomorrow will be a long day. You need to rest."
I got up and bowed before saying good night to her. "Good night .. Grandpa."
He chuckled, waved at me and I plopped down onto my bed, too tired to hide behind the covers.

I woke up from my sleep, snorting, feeling a heavy sensation weighing down on my body.
Are they my worries? my burden? The hope placed on me? Does this burden me even while I sleep?
"G' morning White! Wake up!"
I opened my eyes and saw that my burden had taken the form of a beautiful young woman who was very similar to my friend Thania.
"Come on the bed! You should meet grandfather soon! H-hey! Don't sleep anymore!" He bounced up and down, still straddling above me.
Did he not know how indecent this was to others? Haa .. young innocence.
"I understand! I'm up, Thania! Please come down from my stomach so that I can wake up" I cried, still half asleep.
"Hehe~ White, your hair looks cute. Hey hey, are you really going to stay here for a while? Grandpa told me this morning! I'm so happy! You really stay, right? Doesn't it? " Excited Tess with a big smile on her cute face.
How could he be so energetic this early in the morning?
Trying to tame my bed hair, I replied, "You'll know for sure after my trip with Elder Victor, but most likely, it looks like I'll bother you a little longer, Princess."
He poked my side with his finger, "Not Princess! Thania! THANIA! I'll be mad if you don't treat me better."
Shit!, she looks so cute with her pouting face.
"Alright, alright! I have to take a shower and get ready so unless you want to see me naked, I think you should leave the room, Thania." I knitted my eyebrows lazily.
"Geek! I'll leave you a pervert!" I could see her ears turning red as she rushed out of the room.
I don't think it'll work out well. My four-year-old body hasn't even matured its "Male part.
I just shrugged and jumped into the bathroom to get ready, making sure to keep the stone wrapped in fur inside my robe.
As I descended the arched staircase, a butler opened the front door for me and I saw a small carriage with Grandpa Victor and Thania inside.
"Dad! It is not proper for humans to live in this kingdom!"
"Aldin's right, Elder Victor. Although saving Thania is something I will forever be grateful for, having a human living here goes against all traditions."
I heard the King and Queen talking to Grandpa Victor as he lazily leaned back inside the carriage.
"DON'T! Tradition's screw! I like that boy and so does Thania, right, son," he snorted.
"Grandpa! Not like that! She just.." her voice disappeared at the end, her face beaming.
"Haha! Anyways! He will be under the guidance of my langs from now on so be sure to tell everyone that he should not be taken lightly!"
"D-dad…"
"ENOUGH! This is not for discussion! Oh boy! You're right here! Comeing! We have to hurry!" His expression turned into a smile as soon as he saw me.
I nodded and jumped onto the carriage, avoiding the wrinkles the King and Queen gave me.

A little into the journey, I asked Grandpa Victor. "Hey Grandpa, where are we headed anyway? You said we'd meet your friend, right?"
"Haha! Grandpa eh? Well, aren't you very comfortable with me now. Nice, nice! As for where we're going, it's a surprise." He winked.
Thania fell asleep with her head resting on my shoulder. He must be tired from waking up this early.
"Take care of him, White. He grew up in a very quiet environment," he murmured softly, a look of compassion filling his eyes as he looked at his sleeping grandson.
"What do you mean, Cake?"
"Growing up as the only princess of the entire kingdom was stressful, too much for a child to handle. Growing up without close friends, it was difficult for him. He has been hurt too often by people pretending to be friends with him, only to use him for their personal gain. This had made Thania into someone who was cold and distant from the people around her. Imagine how shocked we were when we saw you two holding hands." He continued.
"Yes, I noticed when I heard him talking to the guards," I added.
"Whites. Thania has shown more expression, more smiles and laughter, now than she grew up; around you, she finally seems more like a child. For that, I thank you." He patted my other shoulder.
This was the first time Grandpa Victor had started physical contact with me other than sparring, which surprised me.
The train stopped gently before the driver opened our train door to inform us of our arrival.
"Hey Thania, we've arrived" I whispered, gently nudging him.
"Mmm .." She finally woke up and we got off the train, arriving at a place that could only be considered a tiny hut.
"Hey, you old witch! Out!" Grandfather Victor suddenly shouted while knocking with his feet to the door.
Suddenly the door opened to reveal a hunchbacked old woman with gray hair that looked like she had been struck by lightning and her wrinkled eyes were strangely a mixture of different colors, all fused together. Dressed in a simple brown robe, he looked at me with studying eyes.
"It took me a long time to get here!" he's pouting.
"Haha! Whites! Let me introduce you to Rania Dircessan. She's a very special perversion among us elves" Grandpa Victor announced.
"It's good to see you again, Victor. Handsome as ever, little Thania," she smiled, patting Thania on the head.
Looking at me, he stuck out his hand. "We finally met young White. I'm Rania. A Diviner."
