THE POV LAYLA HELSTIA:

I shopped with Mommy and Lady Samantha and Alicia. Alicia looked a little disappointed that her sister was unwilling to join us, so I held her hand to comfort her.

"Hey Alicia. Do you like your sister very much?"

"En! But he's bad for not shopping with us. I want to dress her up more" she pouted.

"Do you like me more or your sister more?"

After a moment of thought, he simply replied, "Umm.I like both of them!"

"My nails. Layla, what are you asking Alicia?" My mother asked, pulling my other hand. "Layla, what do you think of Arthur?"

"Uuu she's a little scary. How can he be so strong, Mom? I don't think kids like us can be witches until we grow up?" That's not fair. I always dreamed of being a witch and making Mama and Papa happy.

My mother looked at Lady Samantha, "I think it's because she's a very talented child. But Samantha, do you really have no problem with everything she says? looks a little too weird? How could he have been so strong all this time? You have told me that he was quite good at fighting even before the bandit's attack."

I saw Lady Samantha shake her head. "Of course I know he's hiding things. He might not know but it was pretty obvious when he lied. He tends to focus his gaze on one point and his voice turns monotonous when he lies. It's funny how he thinks he's cunning actually. 'Sigh', Jessica, I know she's hiding something from us and so is Rey, but we agreed to give her space until she was comfortable enough to tell us herself. I think that's what it means to be a parent. I know he doesn't mean anything bad so all we can do is support him until he's ready."

"Lying is bad!" Little Alicia stated.

I agree with him about that. "Yes Alicia! Lying is bad!"

ARTHUR WHITE POV:

I began to concentrate on my mana core, distracted by a series of unexplainable sneezes.I became too impatient with my training. I wanted to hurry up and reach the previous level in my past life, but it didn't happen as fast as I wanted.

The little quarrel with Director Woodsky made it too real for me. I was too inexperienced and weak. It didn't affect me much until now, but I'm not used to fighting the way witches fight in this world. The fact that there was nothing like Magician in my previous world made the fight much more difficult.

My concentration faltered while my mind returned to my past life. The scene on the foggy night when the head of the orphanage guard, who was closest to the figure of the mother I had, was shot. I was young then, but if I think back now, maybe that's why I started training like crazy. Chief Mother was the one who picked me up from the streets, gave me steamed bread. After that, he took care of me, taught me to read and write, scolded me and taught me basic manners.

I don't want to be king; I just want revenge. I just want to be strong enough to kill the people responsible for the death of the person who took care of me. It's never that simple, though. It turned out that the one responsible for the killing of the orphanage's head, along with the other leading figures from various orphanages, was the military from another country.

I then realized that no matter how strong a person was, he was still one person. I need authority along with my strength. Being a king served his purpose. The first thing I did when I was appointed King was to destroy the country. My hands are bleeding with the bodies of hundreds of thousands of soldiers and millions more. However, the cruel thing was that no matter what kind of revenge was carried out, it did not change what had happened to him. He still died an unjust death.

Life will be different. I will not let my loved ones suffer.

Eve nudged her wet nose towards me, a worried look fixed on my eyes. 'I'm here, feeling better' is what he seems to tell me.

Rubbing her head, I rose from my unpleasant memories.

I washed myself, laughing at the crying Eve e who still hated getting wet. I'm glad I have him by my side. It's not healthy for me to think alone for too long.

Just in time, the girls returned from their shopping trip by the time I finished dressing up. I went down the stairs to greet them.

"Hmph! Evil brother!" My sister just pursed her lower lip with her hands crossed.

"How do you buy Mom, Lady Jessica? Did you buy a lot of stuff?" my question is, my hand is still on my sister's head.

"We didn't buy much, just some new clothes for Alicia and Layla" my mother replied.

At this moment, I heard a storm of footsteps coming towards us. Alex arrived beside us with an excited expression on his face. His eyes were slightly red and he had an irresistible smile on his face.

"You're finally here!" He said holding his daughter and kissing her cheek.

"Darling, why are you so confused? Are you crying? "What's going on?" Jessica had a confused expression on her face from confusion and worry. Alex is a little crazy right now.

"You haven't told them, Arthur?" He faced me, a silly smile still clinging to his face.

Shaking my head, I chuckled, "I just got off as well. I'll tell them."

"Tell us what, baby?" My mom looks worried too. I never liked not knowing what was going on.

"I had a discussion with Mr. Alex about teaching Alicia and Layla where manipulation starts today. Of course, only if Lady Jessica agrees with that."

"…"

Jessica just shook her head, looking at her husband. "Wait, wait. Is this some kind of joke? If yes, it's not funny."

"No, ma'am, I know you and Sir Alex are not witches, but Layla may be witches." I gave him a sincere look.

"That's impossible. I have never heard of a method to teach mana manipulation to someone. I've been taught that it's up to the child's innate talents to awaken on their own. Why don't I hear someone else teach the kids then? "

Jessica had a much harder time believing that Layla could be a witch than her husband. But I don't blame him. Alex didn't even ask me, which was surprising. The biggest concern for a mother of a noble family is the future of her children and in a society where witches are elites, the Helstian bloodline, no matter how rich they are, she said, will get more than a few pity stares.

"I've also never heard of anything like teaching kids mana manipulation, White. How do you plan on doing this?" mother asked.

"Mom, you all know how I woke up at 3, right? I remember what happened and why it happened. I'll do what I did to them. I have to test them before I can even start but for Alicia, I'm 100% sure she can get up and for Layla, about 70%," I replied. The probability is higher than what I said for Layla but I don't want to expect too much. There was still a chance that he would not be able to wake up.

"God. Th-this. Give me a minute. I need to sit." I saw Jessica's knees wobbly as she walked to the sofa.

"It won't be an instant thing. It'll take a few years for them to wake up on their own after I teach them."

The old man from the Helstia family just nodded and I turned to face the confused Layla and Alicia.

"Alicia, Layla, can you sit on the floor by the fireplace?" I instructed, guiding them to the living room. "I want you to sit in the most comfortable position, turning your back to each other. Leave a little room so I can sit in between."

Alicia still slightly did not understand what was going on, but Layla already understood what was going on and I could see a look of determination on her face. Alicia sat with her legs stretched out in front of her while Layla sat in a more graceful position with both her legs tucked into her left side.

"OKAY. Before I do anything, I want you to close your eyes and concentrate. If you try very hard, you will be able to see some points of light. Did you see him?" I put myself between them now as Jessica, Alex, and my mother all stared intently.

"…"

"T-no. I didn't really see anything," I heard a mutter from Layla. I expected a lot but I turned to see everyone looking panicked. Ignoring them, I turned to face my sister and asked her the same. I was less afraid of him seeing the light, but did not recognize what it really looked like.

Fortunately, he replied, "Bruhder, I think I saw a pretty little light!"

The next step is to do something that only I can do. I have to insert mana of all four elemental attributes at once into their bodies. Doing this, they will be able to see more clearly which spots are scattered on their bodies.

"Okay I'll start now. You'll feel a little feverish but I want you to hold it in and just focus on the light." As soon as I said that, I wanted where my quadra element was into it.

The reason why the four elements should be given to them is because the mana has not yet assembled and formed the core where it is in its purest form, which means that all four elements need to be exerted with equal force into their bodies to trigger any response from which one is inactive within them.

"Eep!" "Hjp!" Layla and Alicia shouted slightly in surprise.

"I thought I saw some lights! They are so beautiful!" exclamation Layla.

"Wow! That's plenty!" Said my sister.

"Okay, this part is important, I'll help you with this part, but your job is to try to connect all the little lights, okay? Do you understand Alicia? Pretend that all the little lights are friends and they have to meet together. Can you do it for me, Alicia?" This is the hardest and longest part and I have to make sure that they understand what to do.

"O-okay! I think I understand!" "Lights are friends? Okay!"

I remained in my position for over an hour to trigger the dormant mana in their bodies, at least until they were visible enough for them to manipulate and collect.

Taking a deep breath, I let go of my hand from their backs, instructing them to continue gathering the small lights until the lights disappeared.

"Hows it? W-Do you think Layla will be able to become a mage?" Helstia's parents are in disarray. They had anxious expressions on their faces while Alex nervously chewed on the nails. I looked at my mother and even she had a hint of uneasiness in her eyes.

Answer me with a big smile. β€œDon't worry, both Layla and my little sister will wake up as witches in a few years. My plan was to do this with them every day for a few months I would be at home. At that time, they should have been able to. their own training to form mana cast..”.

Jessica didn't even let me finish when she hugged me. "Oh thank you, thank you, thank you. My baby will learn magic! Geez, I'm so worried about her future because we're both not witches. *Sniff*Uuu.. Thank you very much, Arthur."

Alex's face shed tears as he continued to stare at his meditating daughter. My mother patted my head in silence, giving me a proud smile.

It's no big deal for Alicia to be a witch because our whole family can use magic. The chances that he would never wake up would be very slim even if I did nothing; I just sped up the process. I think the sooner he learns magic, the sooner he can protect himself.

The two girls lasted a few hours before the mana I gave out of their bodies. Surprisingly, Layla actually lasted longer than Alicia. She must have a greater determination than my four-year-old sister.

My father came a while after from the Guild Hall and was so excited for the Helstia family that they would have the first witch in the family.

Lifting Alicia up and rubbing her beard on her cheek, my father simply exclaimed, "Aww, my little baby is going to be as strong as his older brother! Promise me you won't be stronger than me, okay? very sad."

My mom just laughed at this while my sister just giggled, pushing Dad's face away. "Father!! Stop, hehe!"

We had a wonderful dinner party that night. Alex and Jessica went all out on a delicious meal leaving my mouth tantalizing and Eve drooling right next to me. We ended the night with everyone rejoicing, Alex going around offering drinks even to the waiter and butler.

The following days consisted of condensing my mana core and elemental skills along with my dragon will power. It is a slow process that numbs the mind and I feel myself stagnating due to lack of stimulation.

I spent a few days a week arguing with Dad, but I knew he was afraid of hurting me, always holding back even when it was unnecessary.

In addition to my training, I spent several hours every day watching over my sister and Layla while they continued their journey to form their core. It was a tough process and I could see my sister becoming a little more impatient with the training, but I did my best to help her through it by making a game out of it.

During this time, I had to talk to my mother about her abilities as an Almitter.I asked her how she could learn it and train it when there were so few Almitters and she smiled at me mysteriously, tells how a woman needs to have some secrets of her own.

I guess I should ask her again when she doesn't feel too closed.

Two weeks before my birthday and the beginning of my career as an Adventurer, I was struck by a loud and annoying knock at the front door. Opening the door, the faces of the group who were too familiar made my lips curl.
