Victor's grandfather, Thania, Rania and I were currently all around a round table with a water jar in the middle.
“Umm... Elder Rania? You said that you were a fortune teller, right? I'm a little confused about what you can do. Grandfather said that I could tell if my parents were okay by looking at you." I asked, staring curiously at the jar filled with water.
"Keeke! Grandpa huh? Victor, you really let yourself go if you let a youngster like him call you that," he sneered.
"yeah! He's exception! If any other brat dares to call me like Grandpa, I will hang it upside down and be beaten with a cactus!" he smiled back, looking at me.
How painful descriptive.
Glaring at me, he barked, "Chick! You don't even know where your parents are but you want to travel all over Xafir, find them and then come back to practice? You'll be dead by the time you get yourself back here."
I looked at Grandpa Victor. Did he tell her? Almost as if he knew what I was thinking, he chuckled. "I didn't tell Rania all this. There's not much you can hide from her, but she doesn't usually bother looking for someone. What makes you so nosy Rania?" Grandfather said, directing a worried look towards the old woman.
"You and I both know he's special. It's so special, in fact, there's a part of his life that even I can't see it. White, whatever beast gives up its will on you, it's no ordinary beast. Restricting it to the SS class won't do justice." He looked for a moment before continuing.
"Enough about that. White, you're here to see your parents so that's what I'm gonna help you with. Close your eyes for a moment and imagine your parents. Focus on their appearance and which signature they are. I'll take care of the rest."
I closed my eyes and imagined the last scene of the two of them together: my father was seriously injured and my mother healed him.
"OK, you can open your eyes now."
I looked at him to see the color of his eyes swirling. The water floated out of the jar and swirled around, forming a spiral disc. Suddenly, I saw my parents in the water.
The chair I was sitting on was upside down as I ran, leaning as close as I could to the table. I saw my mom and dad together, sitting around the dining table. It doesn't seem to be our home in Ashber. My mother's face was a little bit paler and was currently saying something to my father. I could see she was losing a little weight but otherwise looking quite healthy. His stomach! It is quite clear by now that she is pregnant with a fairly noticeable bulge on her stomach. My dad looks the same! He's wearing some kind of uniform now and wearing a beard.
I could feel the hot tears flowing uncontrollably on my face at this moment, as I did not dare to take my eyes off the shadow of my parents.
They're alive! They're doing fine! They're doing just fine. Thank goodness!.
"Thank you Elder Rania. Thank you for really showing me this," I stammered.
She seemed a little uncomfortable at my sincerity and just waved it off.
"Ahem! Let me see where they are now."
The picture was enlarged and I could see the outside of their residence. As I thought, it's definitely not our home in Ashber. Shrinking further, I could see the layout of the city they lived in.
"It looks like they've made their home in Cyrus. It makes things easier for us." He said, the look of content on his face.
Thania, who was obviously worried that I was crying, patted my back but her gaze was not separated from the whirlpool.
"Parent White.." I faintly heard him mutter.
Grandpa Victor clapped his hands and stood up.
"okay! Whites! Tell your parents that you're alive!"
According to Grandfather Victor, strict rules controlled communication between the Elanoir Kingdom and Xafir. However, Rania, as an astrologer who was not discovered by the Xafir Kingdom, gave us freedom that was not regulated in any sense.
“How this process will work is I will pour some of my innate mana into you, creating a temporary link. When I give you a signal, start talking as if you were talking to your parents. It is important to know that they will hear your voice inside their head so that they may not believe what you are saying at first. Be sure to make them believe that you are the one talking to them and that they are not going crazy. Remember, we're just doing this to tell them you're alive. I will send your voice directly to the minds of both of your parents. I can't maintain the connection for too long, so tell me what you need in two minutes, "he confirms, a serious look from his eyes.
Nodding to this, I prepared myself as well.
"Start... NOW!"
His entire body started to glow with the same color as his eyes and I could see the same light spreading to me as well.
Taking a deep breath, I started talking.
Hi Mommy, Hi Dad. It's me, your son White. You might be so surprised that you heard my voice inside your head, huh? Well there's a reason for that. But before that, I want you and you to know that I'm alive and safe. Once again, I am alive and well Mom, Dad. I survived the cliff fall and am currently living in the Kingdom of Elanoir with the elves. Please don't tell this other guy. I don't have much time so I'll just say the most important things. A friend of mine is as deviant as your mother, except she's a fortune teller so I can see how you guys are doing right now. He also made you hear my voice. I want to get back to you as soon as possible but I can't right now. No, I'm safe and alive now but I have some kind of er. disease in my body that I have to get rid of before I can go back. Don't worry, as long as I stay here and the elves treat me well, and I'm 100% fine. So please, don't worry. I don't know when I can talk to you guys like this anymore, but the important thing is I'm alive and I know you guys are too. Dad, Mom, you two should have heard my voice by now so confirm with each other if you still don't believe this. Remember; don't tell anyone where I am right now. Better yet, just keep it as if I'm still dead to make things simpler. It might take months or even years for me to be able to return but make sure that I WILL return home. I love you guys so much*sniff* and I miss you both. Stay safe, and Dad, make sure to keep my mom and baby sister safe. Mom*sniff*, please make sure dad doesn't get in trouble. Your son, the White."
I had trouble keeping my eyes open from the tears that kept flowing. I just stood still, rubbing my eyes as I did everything I could from destruction. The light faded around the two of us and elder Rinia collapsed back into her chair, sweating and pale.
"Chairman Rania, I don't know how to thank you for this," I managed to let out a hoarse voice.
"Practice well and continue to appreciate the people close to you, son. That's how you thank me. Also! Don't forget to stop by occasionally. This lonely granny kekeke~!" He replied with a weak smile.
I hugged her tightly, made her almost jump, she finally gave in to my cuteness and returned my embrace before expelling all of us.
As we walked out, I saw Thania pouting slightly, looking at my chest.

By the time we arrived back at the castle, it was already dark. A servant greeted us upon arrival, but before I could return to my room, I saw the king and queen.
The king came to me first.
"Arthur, I know you heard what we said earlier today and I'm sorry for that. The years of being King have made me rather old-fashioned and I'm very stubborn because you don't belong here."
The queen continued for her husband, holding my hand in his hand.
"You are now the first disciple of Elder Victor. This gives you more than enough reason for all of us to accept you. Even if that fact does not exist, you still saved our daughter. Please consider this place as your home. I know you miss your parents dear, but if I can comfort you, don't hesitate and treat me like your own mother" she said, smiling sincerely at me.
"Father! Mama! …" said Thania with her hands covering her mouth. He then ran towards them and hugged the two of them.
I smiled back, thanking them too. They are good people. Good people who are only looking for their kingdom.
Smiling behind us, Grandpa Victor nodded at all of us in agreement before exclaiming, "Luck! Training starts tomorrow so go to bed early!"

I woke up from the immense pain covering my body. Cold sweat had already covered my body as the burning feeling in my body increased.
"AARGH!" I gripped my body tightly, trying to hold on when the door suddenly opened and Grandpa Victor ran towards me.
"It's getting worse …"
Slowly, the pain subsided and I gasped for breath, my clothes wet with sweat.
"Thank you," I made it out.
Without looking up, he replied, "It's a bit early, but let's start practicing now."
Looking out the window, I saw that the sun had not even risen yet. I probably won't be able to sleep anymore, so I nodded and followed him into the courtyard.
Sitting cross-legged, he looked at me for a long time before explaining, "Until now, you have purified the mana core and manipulated your mana using which channel. While, for normal magicians, this method is enough, for Beast Tamers, we cannot rely on this approach. Instead, we do something called assimilation."
I sat facing him. My face must have told him that I didn't know what he was talking about.
"Haha! Don't worry, you'll find out soon enough. What it basically is, is integrating mana from your core directly into your bones and muscles, therefore its method, assimilation. Unfortunately, during the assimilation period, the mana nucleus will not develop at all, but that is not the point. Once the mana from your new core is absorbed throughout your body, you will be able to start harnessing whatever power your savage beast possesses."
So this is what Silvana means! Throughout the entire journey through the Elshira Forest and meeting the royal family and Grandpa Victor, I inevitably thought that somehow Silvana had planned all this.
"Let the mana slowly off your core and don't be tempted to use your mana channel. Instead, let it seep into your body and slowly all your muscles and bones absorb mana. It will take time and effort, but during this process, your mana core should be less and less repelled by your body" Victor ordered.
"There's not much I can help you with for the first part of your training except to make sure where you are distributed evenly throughout your body and eliminate you when your body spasms like before."
The training continued by meditating, spreading the mana from my core and into my body. I had mastered it after a few days, but I realized how long this journey had been. Directing my mana to form the core when I was a baby took me several years but this did the opposite except with more mana and extra steps further to assimilate mana directly into the muscles and bone.
I didn't leave the castle during this time because I won't know when my body will act again. I am so grateful to Grandpa Victor for accompanying me all this time. Unfortunately for Thania, this leaves little time for her to play with me. When I wasn't meditating, I was resting in my room, my body hurt because it was filled with mana. However, that didn't stop him from simply breaking through and raving about his day.
After a few weeks of assimilation, my body acted less and I was allowed to go to the city. So after promising Thania that I would go around Zastier, I went to bed.

Waiting outside my room was Thania dressed in charming clothes. She was wearing a white sleeveless dress and a thin white cardigan on it. The pink sun hat she wore on top of her head was decorated with pale flowers, giving her a very fresh and doll-like appearance.
"You're long enough! Hurry up, let's hurry!" He grabbed my hand, half dragging me as I fought my aching body to follow in his footsteps.
Seeing the city once again did not take away my astonishment when I first arrived at Zastier. As we got off the train and started walking, we took the time to visit the various stalls and shops the city has to offer. While the two of us were met with many gazes from the fact that a human child joined hands with their only royal daughter, the, it was a feeling I had been used to since my previous life so it didn't bother me. What bothered me, however, was that, while most of these gazes only showed curiosity, some gazes were filled with blatant hostility.
Coming out of the armor shop, I had just stepped aside for someone when an elf boy hit me on the shoulder.
"Hmph! Well, if it wasn't the human boy that Victor's elder had taken. I've heard all about you. Dirty, I have human germs on my clothes," she commented sarcastically, a look of disgust stuck to her face. .
It was quite clear from the clothes of this boy, who was not much older than Thania, and the servants, along with a group of friends who followed behind him, that he was a noble.
After spending so much time with Thania, I almost forgot how immature the children were. Inevitably I thought that, whether they were elves or humans, spoiled nobles always seemed to act as if they had been taught from the same manual.
He then turned to face Thania, his face turning into a trained smile as he offered his hand. "Daughter, it is below your level to be with this human boy. Allow me to drive you around." He urged, expecting Tess to receive his hand.
Even without looking at her, Thania hooked her arm with my hand and coldly replied, "White, let's go. There's an insect in that direction and I don't want to accidentally step on it with my new shoes."
As I was being pulled away, I glanced back, looking at the noble boy with a look of pity, which seemed to make him even more angry.
"Wait boy! I'm not done with you!" He screamed, ran towards me and grabbed my shoulder.
"I heard you're talented enough for a human witch. Around here, I am also a genius who is quite famous. My mana core had reached the red stage and besides water manipulation, my mother said that I would soon be able to manipulate the plants!"
I responded with my most sincere, yet sarcastic, expression of surprise and worship. "Geez! Princess Thania! It seems like we are in the presence of a pure genius here. I'm not worthy!"
Thania chuckled, not even trying to hide her amused taste.
"I will definitely give you the respect you deserve, Lord Genius of the Elves. So, excuse me …"
As I began to take Tess away, a handkerchief flew past us, landing on the ground.
Turning around, I saw the face of the noble boy, red as a tomato, glaring at me as the servants and friends all sighed calmly.
"How dare you start a duel with Elder Victor's disciple. You may be of noble blood, Fryrath, but you must still know your place! Take it back," Thania ordered, her eyes narrowed with a sharp look.
"I'm sorry, Princess, but my father has taught me to never let my pride be trampled on. Arthur, prepare yourself for a duel or retreat with your tail between your legs knowing that your actions reflect your mentor as well. The choice is yours." Fryrath puffed out his chest, pulling the staff from under his robe.
Some people nearby had heard and had already started to gather around us. Thania seemed unsure about all of this, but just nodded my head and took a few steps from us.
I didn't want to make a fuss because I was a visitor, but after weeks of stifling meditation, my body actually desperately wanted a chance to fight.
"Daughter, please do the honor of starting the duel," the noble boy said as he began polishing his black staff with his sleeves.
I could see Thania rolling her eyes as she took another step back. "Let the duel begin."
While my mana core was still in its early stages of deep red, I could feel the mana strengthening every muscle fiber I bent as I dashed towards Fryrath.
It ended in a second. He was too arrogant and didn't even take the necessary precautions to know if I was an Augimenter or a Magician and by the time I was in the middle, he hadn't even started his singing yet.
The moment my palm went into his stomach, all he managed to remove was a sharp gust of air that was forced out of his lungs before flying back down to the floor. I was glad that I had used my palm because as soon as my hand made contact, I felt a sturdy chain under her clothes.
Fryrath's servant and friend's eyes widened as Thania quickly ran towards me and pulled me away.
Later, Thania explained to me that, in the duel, there were certain unspoken habits. One of these habits is to let the challenger make the first move. The other was that the informal duel between nobles was just a demonstration of magic, not an actual fight. This made Grandfather laugh when he found out, saying that the duel between nobles was foolishness and a completely inaccurate way to measure one's magic power.
Overall, what Fryrath meant when he started the duel was simply taking turns showing off each other's magical talents.
It was disappointing to realize that the shocked expressions of everyone around us were not from my fighting prowess, but from the fact that I ignored the dueling habits.
Since then, I chose to stay in the manor most of the day to keep myself out of trouble, because I lived a strict lifestyle that followed it consisting of meditating with Grandpa Victor in the morning, he said, spend a little time with Thania in the afternoon and training by myself at night. During this time, I have been texting my parents once in a while to tell them that I am still alive and that I miss them so much.
Like this, three years have passed.
