A long time ago, Grandma Abuela (Maria Cecilia Botero) and her husband, Grandpa Pedro, had 3 twins, namely; Julietta (Angie Cepeda), Pepa (Carolina Gaitan) and Bruno (John Leguizamo). The happy moments had to be dashed after the village where Abuela and Pedro were attacked so that almost all the villagers fled to find a new place to live.
Naas, when they were pursued, Pedro intended to prevent it but was instead killed; leaving a large candle for Abuela to find a way.
Upon seeing Pedro dead, Abuela felt devastated and frightened but suddenly, the candle left by Pedro made a great miracle, the candle makes the area around Abuela into a large stone wall so that Abuela's family and other residents survived the pursuit of the bad guys who destroyed their village.
Not to mention the houses were immediately formed and able to communicate with the residents. Madrigal's mansion is the largest of its kind and is called The Casita.
The little Mirabel who heard that was amazed and obeyed Grandma Abuela's order to continue making the Midragal family proud of her. Years after that, Mirabel grows up to be a beautiful and energetic teenage girl; people love her. One thing he hid from the people; that was the power he had. There aren't. Mirabel does not have the strength of any other family member.
Mirabel's mother, Julietta, is able to heal the sick as hard as possible with food, Mirabel's First Brother Isabella (Diane Guerrero) is considered the most successful. His power is to make the entire flora bloom, then Mirabel's Second Brother Luisa (Jessica Darrow) becomes a superhuman who can lift anything easily.
Aunt Pepa can control the weather, Mirabel's cousins are Camilo (Rhenzy Feliz) who can change shape into anyone and Dolores (Adassa) who can hear the sound as small and as far as Antonio (Ravi Cabot) who is a member of the family lastly after Mirabel who gained the power to talk to animals at the edification event.
Knowing all his family members ‘special’, Mirabel (Stephanie Beatriz) at least becomes a little insecure, but, he was likened to his Uncle Bruno who disappeared because his power was considered a curse by the surrounding population and Madrigal family itself.
Mirabel is sad not to play. As soon as she was about to step out of Antonio's affirmation, Mirabel was shocked to see her family's house suddenly crack and begin to disintegrate. As soon as Mirabel reported it to Grandma Abuela, everything suddenly returned to its original form, leaving Mirabel labeled as a liar.
As she tells Lucia, Mirabel wants to find out why Uncle Bruno is missing and what the real reason why he is being likened to Uncle Bruno is. At first Luisa is reluctant to help her sister, but out of pity, Luisa finally says that the answer may be in the tower where Uncle Bruno used to live.
Mirabel's father, Agustin (Wilmer Valderrama), and her cousin Dolores can hear anything. Dolores then told it in chain until heard by Grandma Abuela who was then a witness of Isabella's engagement with a good man named Mariano Guzman (Maluma). As a result, the news made everything so chaotic. The cracks became more visible and the house was now shaking violently.
The magical power of the candle began to dim; all members of the Madrigal family began to lose their powers one by one. Mirabel feels very guilty; before she is sprayed by Grandma Abuela, Mirable escapes and finds a mysterious passageway behind the wall, once traced it turns out that the hallway is connected to the residence of Uncle Bruno who has been considered lost for years.
Not wasting any time, Mirabel asks about Uncle Bruno's vision of the prophecy of her and the fractured Casita. While trying to resume his vision, Uncle Bruno discovers that Mirabel must make up with Isabella.
Hearing this he wasted no more time; he tried to go to his sister's room and apologized. Despite a fight, they eventually reconcile and Mirabel finds out a big secret about her brother; that Isabella doesn't want to get married.
As The Casita begins to improve, Grandma Abuela is furious at Mirabel for disturbing Isabella who eventually ‘turned’ into the girl that Grandma Abuela did not expect. Upon hearing this, Mirabel becomes enraged and causes The Casita to be crushed after Mirabel says that all the members of the Madrigal family will never be seen enough in front of Grandma Abuela.
Climbed, Grandma Abuela was instantly stunned. He was introspection at that moment. Mirabel left Encanto worried everyone, and all day long, Grandma Abuela finally found Mirabel crying in front of the river. Abuela's grandmother apologized and told her that it was in the river that Grandpa Predo died. Granny Abuela said that all this time she was afraid that the magical power was lost and Encanto would be in danger.
That's the reason Grandma Abuela always asks for the best power from the whole family. Hearing that Mirabel realized something that all this time Grandma Abuel lived in fear and carried the responsibility as the village head alone.
It also makes Mirabel understand why Granny Abuela always wants the best. Eventually Granny Abuela and Mirabel reconcile, they return home, building it together again without any magical help. It was then that Mirabel gained her power as a family unifier.
