Tinkerbell (1)

Tinker Bell was born from a baby's first laugh and was carried by the wind to Pixie Hollow (which is part of the island of Neverland), and Queen Clarion welcomed him. She learns that her talent is to be one of the boxers, fairies who make and fix things. Two other borer fairies, Bobble and Clank take her around Pixie Hollow, teach her their craft, and show her her home.

While at work, the three are hit by a thorny bush, a type of weed that threatens. Tinker Bell meets Silvermist, a water fairy; Rosetta, a garden fairy; Iridessa, a light fairy; and Fawn, an animal fairy. They tell the story of fairies who visit the mainland to bring each season. Tinker Bell is thrilled and can't wait to go ashore in the spring. After meeting them, she notices Vidia, a fast-flying fairy who instantly dislikes her because of her unusually strong talent. Vidia challenges him to prove he can go ashore, and Tinker Bell creates some inventions but messes with them while showing them to the Spring Minister. Tinker Bell later learns from Queen Clarion that only nature's gifted fairies visit the mainland. She talks to Fairy Mary, a tinkering fairy watchdog, who tries to please her with who she is, but instead inspires her to "shift her talents".

He tried his natural skills; made a dew point with Silvermist, lit a firefly with Iridessa, and tried with Fawn to teach the baby birds to fly, but he failed miserably in all of this. Meanwhile, Bobble and Clank cover Tinker Bell when questioned by Fairy Mary. When Tinker Bell returns, she tries to explain, but Mary only answers that she knows, and expresses her disappointment at Tinker Bell's actions.

As a last resort, Tinker Bell asks Vidia to teach her how to be a fast-flying fairy, then explains that her friends have given up on her. Vidia cunningly tells her that catching a running thorn bush will prove her worth as a garden fairy. However, as soon as he saw Tinker Bell making progress, he released the thorn grass he had captured, and in an attempt to recapture it, they destroyed all preparations for spring. Tinker Bell decides to leave, but after talking to Terence, the dust-keeper fairy, about how important her job is, she realizes the importance of a tinker.

Tinker Bell redeemed itself by creating a machine that accelerated the process of decorating flowers, ladybugs, etc. This allowed the other fairies to return on schedule, thus saving the arrival of spring. Vidia is punished for encouraging her to cause mayhem, and Queen Clarion allows Tinker Bell to join the natural talent fairies when they bring spring to the mainland, but she refuses after realizing her talent. However, Fairy Mary arrives with a music box that Tinker Bell fixes and gives her the task of sending it to its original owner, who proves to be Wendy Darling. The narrator ends by saying that when a lost toy is found or a broken clock starts functioning, "it all means that there is a very special fairy who may be nearby."
